Dawn was trying not to collide with someone, people... no... what ever they were, were pretty impatient. The crowd was split into two large groups, one wanting to talk to him and the other half wanting to talk to Irene. She finally managed to reach Adrian.

"Hi" she smiled and waved Dawn wanted to know the truth, but she knew it would be rude to ask now, so she came up with a great plan.

'I'll ask her when two of us are alone' she thought to herself and nodded

Irene glanced at brunette in front of her

'So this is the chosen one, huh? I don't see anything special'

"I'm Dawn, it's nice to meet you " Dawn said and bowed

"Irene, likewise" she answered in monotone tone

"I was wondering if-" brunette tried to ask to talk tomorrow but was cut off

"Irene! It's so nice to see you" the same woman who told Dawn about Adrian being the secret love child.

"Im sure it is" Irene answered

"Let's go" Adrian whispered to Dawn as he took her hand.

It took them almost twenty minutes, but they managed to leave.

They were alone in a beautiful garden filled with roses and greenery.

The fountain was in the middle, and a few benches surrounded it making a big circle

"Are you okay?" Dawn asked taller male "Why wouldn't I be?"

"Nevermind"

She answered while trying to think of something that will cheer him up.

"So...uh...what do you think of my dress?"

"It's nice, blue suits you"

She smiled as she played with her necklace. It became a habit of hers, perhaps bad habit.

Realizing how old the necklace must be she stopped

"Hey... do you know how old this is?" she asked, hoping the answer won't surpass fifteen years

"Few centuries at least" Adrian answered unamused

"WHAT?!" Dawn shouted way louder than she wanted to

"It's like a family heirloom" he added

"Then why did you give it to me? What if I lose it?"

"Where would you lose it? You don't leave the mansion unless you go to school"

"Well... I still can lose it! Or even worse, I can break it...." she started panicking

"Relax, that won't happen"

"How can you be so sure"

"Try taking it off"" he told her

"Okay..."

Dawn spent half an hour trying to take her necklace off.

"See? You can't, " he chuckled

"What kind of sorcery is this???" she asked puzzled

" Only the person that clasped necklace can take it off, Dawn"

"Take it off" "Why?" now it was Adrian's turn to be puzzled

"Because you just said I can't take it off. What if I wanted to do so?"

"Why would you want that?"

"Just take it off, I'll put it on myself"

Adrian did as he was told, seeing no difference on who would be able to take it off.

As soon as Adrian unclasped necklace, Dawn clasped it herself.
