Aiden's pov
Maths was the worst. Even though I genuinely do like the subject, my teacher is that part I don't like. He always sent weird, angry looks my way. He also talked in the most monotone voice known to man. You can almost imagine him writing and revising a script before every lesson. He only ever tells us to go on a random page in the textbook and solve all of the problems, then, he sits at his desk and goes on his phone until the bell rings.Today was no different. I liked learning like this. We read a brief explanation of what we were learning, read a few examples, then solved problems until class ended. When the bell finally rang, almost everyone groaned and then started talking about how hungry they were.
I quickly left the classroom and, as I was walking towards the front of the school where I usually sat, I felt weirdly nervous. Suddenly, someone pushed me. I lost balance and fell. I already knew who this was. It was one of Alex's best friends: Nathan. He's pretty much the only one of my bullies that uses me as a personal punching bag. The others stay to using words as their weapons of choice.
I try not to make any noise as he kicks me in the back. I protect my head with my arms as he kicks me again and again. When he gets bored, he walks away, leaving me there on the cold floor. A few minutes later, I get up from the ground and walk outside to my usual spot in the corner. I try to ignore the pain from my fresh bruises when I lean my back against the wall. I take out my sandwich and eat it during the last few minutes of lunch I had left.
