Once the doors had opened up they revealed an almost endless white hallway. I tried to act naturally as I followed along. As if I had expected all of this from the start.
The man in red walked with a quick pace that left me struggling to keep up with. He left no room for mercy with each step he made it clear that if I failed to keep up he’d leave me behind. I embraced his quickness and my smile that I had found hard to find just earlier now couldn’t escape my lips. If we could make it to our destination any faster because of his pace then I was all for it.
I stole another glance over my shoulder to the man. His sharp features that could come across as intimidating looked more attractive to me as the smile that cracked open this dark face from earlier was still playing in my mind. His dark black hair stood out against the bright red suit and I couldn’t help but notice the dangling red jewel that clung sweetly to his face, each sway of his stride causing the bright red to sparkle in the bright white hallway.
I broke my eyes away from him, albeit somewhat reluctantly, as I craned my head around to look around at the long hallway we had started down. Thin white lights lined the floors almost as if we were walking down a runway.
I kept my gaze pinned straight ahead as we continued down the widening hall. My pace began to slow as the hall’s walls began to grow even more open and usher us into a huge hangar that held the cleanest nicest ship I might have ever seen in my entire life. It was leagues above the defunct ship simulation that I had gotten my license from. The many workers that ran all around overwhelmed me.
I stopped dead, as my eyes held onto the ship’s contours and graceful shape. The man in red stopped a moment when he noticed I wasn’t beside him and his hard focused eyes softened as he took in my crying face.
