On the eve of June Axel Smith takes a bus to the Japanese airport where he will be flown to New Zealand to start a new and interesting life.

Axel is a gay 17-year-old teenager who is trying to get past life but, without his parents and his other family members making it hard for him, Axel has decided that this is the only way for him to start a new life in a new world completely different to what he is used to.
