Her name was Heather, the daughter of the first family. The noble of noble, her family lineage were a major part of conquering this land and creating one great nation. Her family gained a huge popularity with the recent star officers that came from that family, her older brother who graduated and rose to the top ranks extremely fast. In other words, she is untouchable. The name of the family, Freeman.

Heather walks up to the two officers as Brandon shakes in fear. “Guards take this one away immediately.” She points at Malek.” “And free this boy, he did nothing.” She points at Diric. “No, I helped. I’ll go.” Diric responds. “No… D-Diric, stay don’t worry. I will just be right back.” Malek says ending with a series of coughs. The guards immediately take off dragging Malek as his face faced down towards the grounds and blood dripping. While the whole situation occurred, Brandon managed to escape to his room. Before the cuffs on Diric were taken off, Heather reached over to his back pocket and takes out the stack of papers the Abdul gave them as punishment. “Hey! Give that back.” “I am holding on to this as punishment.” Heather replied and began to walk away and walks away out the cafeteria as the bell rang. The guard then takes off the cuffs letting Diric goes as he is forced to head to class. ‘Malek, survive till lunch you idiot. I’ll come get you.’ Diric says to himself.

Now entering the classroom, the homeroom. A room pure as white with desks lined with 5 columns and 6 rows. A large blackboard at the front with a desk out front, the same room Malek and Diric fought in. Diric enters and sits the at back the second last column from the window. Moments later Abdul walks in. “Good morning class.” He says with a smile and places a clip board on the desk. “Good morning, Captain Abdul.” The entire class respond with stars in their eyes. There in the second column fourth row sat Brandon with a smirk on his face. Abdul scans the room and notices one seat open which would be the farthest right, the seat next to the window. Abdul catches eyes with Diric, and all Diric can do is to look down in discomfort. Abdul sighs thinking Malek has overslept. He then commences class taking attendance and then begins to break down the schedule. “You will follow this schedule for the first half of this semester. Then after midterms we will start a 3 day schedule. From Monday to Wednesday it will be the same, but Thursday and Friday will be outdoor experience. You will begin to go on missions.” As Abdul continues to talk about the program of the course. After 75 minutes of class, the bell rings and Abdul dismisses the class. As the class leaves room, Abdul stops Diric after class. Waiting until the rest of the class leaves, Abdul busts out the question. “Where is Malek?” Diric hands quickly turns into fist and is visible angry. “Diric, what happened.” Abdul says in a serious tone. “He’s in the school jail.” He responded hesitantly. ‘It’s better to tell Abdul.’ After a pause, Abdul takes a deep breath in and lets out a long exhale. “Don’t worry, Diric. Go to your class. I’ll go see him during lunch.” Diric nods his head but does not agree to not worry. He will soon seek out Malek on his own during lunch.

Deep in the basement of the school, underground there lies a jail cell. Sitting with cuffs connected to chains sat Malek. Being locked against the wall, his blood dripping from his face onto his lap. Sounds of footsteps, one pair are sounds of heels. Coming from the shadows of this dark cell in the basement stood Margaret, the principal of the school and her two guards. “Now kid… How should I punish you?” She says. Malek does not respond. “Kid, I got a report that you initiated a fight with Brandon. After losing the battle, the guards walked in and arrested you. What were you thinking?” She says with a deep sigh. Her story was obviously twisted to keep the reputation of Brandon’s family. “You know you couldn’t beat him. You should know your place!” After a moment of silence, Malek breaks it. “Know my place? Are you really an absolute dog?” “Watch your mouth kid! Do you know who you’re talking to! I’ll kill you for saying such thing!” The officer says as both become visibly angry. The principal who stood silent orders the officer to open the gate. Margaret proceeds to walk in and squats to the meet eyes with Malek. She takes her two fingers as her fingernails start to glow with her flow. “I might be a dog, but.” She whispers then stabs his shoulder with her fingernails putting a poison in his body. “I am not a secter. Survive or you die.” She says walking away as Malek’s body started to burn before excruciating pain is felt all over his body. The cells doors are closed and locked once more before they all leave, leaving Malek screaming in pain, his veins popping all over his body.

Back to Diric, nearing the end of science class with Mr. Launders. Diric is unsettled and anxiously looks at the time multiple times. Suddenly Heather stands up and persuades the teacher to allow her to leave early. Walking towards the principal office, she sends a simple text msg to an unknown person, the contact is labeled “Father”. Moments later the bell rings and Diric makes his way out of the class and heads towards where Malek is kept. The place isn’t a secret, they showed during the tour before the opening ceremony, if Malek was able to ride the bus, he would have gotten a tour. Diric rushing through the hallways of the school going through then down the stairs continuously running. Turning the corner, Diric sees something very confusing. There stood Abdul, Heather and an officer opening the cell. Diric walks up the situation slowly as the enter the cell. Hearing the sound of chains ruffling around, Diric stays patient. Then after a moment of silent, Abdul comes out carrying the limp body of Malek. Diric eyes open widely, “Malek!” he yells running towards the group. Abdul turns around to see Diric and with a soft smile. He walks over towards Diric and whispers in his ear “He’s alive.” Then exits the area and heads straight to the infirmary of the academy. Diric stunned in place sees Heather. Saying nothing she tries to walk past Diric as well. “Hey you, wait.” Diric says. Heather stopping in her tracks turns around putting one hand on her hip. “What is with you two huh?! It has only been 1 day and you guys have already caused this much trouble. Do you guys not understand a single thing in this city?!” She continues her rant showing her true colors. Diric walks in front of her. “Thank you.” He says and walks past her to catch up to Abdul. Heather stunned not expecting this response. ‘What is with those two? Secter people are so weird.’ She says to herself.

The day carries on with Malek in the infirmary through day and night fighting the poison, as there is no antidote, the principal Margaret only placed a timer on the poison. It acted as a poison yet it did not kill him. It was purely to induce pain. It is based on will, the stronger the will the person has, the more painful it becomes. Therefore to reduce the pain, normally opponents will lose their will to live.

While treating his other wounds from the beating, the doctor, a short old man with long white sideburns noted. ‘What is with this boy’s body… its full of scars.’ The pain Malek was feeling was the furthest this poison was ever taken, “His will to live is too strong, he is going to kill himself trying to live against this flow ability, Abdul. Or is Captain Abdul now.” The doctor says turning around looking over at Abdul. “Thank you for treating his wounds. And if he can breathe. He will definitely live.”

The day passes as Malek sleeps and rapidly heals. But he will not wake up until the very next day. The next morning, he awakens and in his room he finds Abdul sitting on the bedside, he sat their the entire night awaiting his awake. Looking around, Malek sits up feeling better. His body fought through the poison for 24 hours straight and his other injuries has rapidly healed on their own occurred. “Ah Malek, looks like you’re alive.” Abdul breaks the silence, “… Where am I.” Malek reponds. “Where the hell do you think, in the infirmary.” “But how did I get out here, wasn’t I in that cell?” “Well that, you have to thank Heather for that one. I don’t really understand it but she was already trying to set you free. You missed the first day, and it there is 30 minutes left before last period.” “FOOD!” Malek randomly yells out as his nose started to twitch. The doctor walks into the room carrying a food of plate for Abdul. “I got you a meal Abdul- HUH WHY ARE YOU AWAKE?!” The doctor yells shocked but before he could react, Malek jumps and grabs the plate and starts to rapidly eat it. “Boyo! That’s not for you! Come back here!” The doctor says chasing Malek around as he is eating it. Abdul lets out a chuckle “Leave him be, he must be hungry for not eating all day.” The doctor out of breath stops and watches Malek. ‘What is up with this Secter kid.’ He thinks to himself.

Moments later, the bell rings and Abdul stands up. “Rest up Malek, your day starts tomorrow.” “Whats the next class anyways?” Malek asks “Hm, it should be Physical Activity and Combat in the arena where the ceremony happened… Wait why?” It was already too late, Malek runs out the infirmary putting on his uniform shirt and an excited smile. Abdul sighs facepalming. “Abdul boyo! Go stop him, he isn’t fully healed!” “He’ll be fine. That boy is stubborn, he’ll probably fight me to death if he I tried to stop him.”

Malek opens the doors to the arena that drew the attention of the entire class. Scanning the room with a confused look, Malek looks at the class lined up in front of a giant, Mr. Armstrong. “Ah the ditcher has finally arrived.” The man’s deep and loud voice traveled across the arena. “Come forth and state your name.” Malek puts his hands in his pockets and walks over to Mr. Armstrong. Looking up at him “Who are you, you giant.” Malek responds looking at him directly at him. Diric who was attending the class sighs ‘This idiot, you just got out of the infirmary.’ Mr. Armstrong stood proud with his chest sticking out. “Kid, you made a grave mistake.” He says softly before lifting up his arm and making a fist. ‘He got himself in trouble to moment he walked in. What is with these secter kids!’ Heather says to herself. “Oh Diric!” Malek says with a large smile and waves at him. Diric gets secondhand embarrassment but that giant fist that Mr. Armstrong lifted comes crashing down towards Malek. “Malek watch out!” A large puff of smoke comes from the impact as the ground below was crushed. When the smoke cleared out, Malek stood there unharmed, and the fist was missed and hit the ground next to him. Mr. Armstrong was stunned for a second then smiled slightly. “Kid, how did you know I wasn’t going to hit you.” Mr. Armstrong speaks. “Hm, you looked me like you weren’t trynna hit me.” Malek replies with a simple answer. “Malek was it, I like you kid!” Mr. Armstrong yells then bursts out laughing. “Now line up, we are about to start class.” Mr. Armstrong instructs Malek. Malek runs over to Diric and puts out a fist bump, “Haha! Told you, I’ll be alright!” Diric sighs then matches his fist with Malek. “Yeah right, you got beat up and had poison through your body for 24 hours! You could have died.” “But I didn’t hehe” Malek says with a large smile. ‘Captain Abdul, now I understand what you mean. He didn’t even flinch. Such confidence, its scary.’ Mr. Armstrong thought to himself.

The whole class once again was stunned by what just had transpired. A boy with bandages all over his face stood up to the teacher, but the teacher ended up liking him for it. In two days, the entire academy grade knew of Malek, rather those people are friends or foes is a mystery. ‘Malek! Why is he here! He should be in the cell!’ Brandon thinks to himself angered once more.

“Alright class, we have done the physical tests yesterday, today we are doing combat training! Pick a sparing partner!” Mr. Armstrong announces. Malek cracks his knuckles with a smirk on his face. “Except for you!” Mr. Armstrong points at Malek. “Waaaaaaaat!!!!!” Malek responds. “You are coming with me outside to your physical testing outdoors. Officer Cortaje will be overlooking your combat training.” A slim male walk into the room, out of breath he runs up to the front. His glasses dangling off his face. “M-m-Mr. Coltaje here for duty!” He says putting up salute. The class looked confused as they couldn’t believe this guy was going to supervise the sparring. ‘Who’s that weak looking guy.’ ‘How is he going to stop anything.’ ‘How is he an officer?!’ the class mumbled around. The officer looked saddened by the whispers floating around. “Wow that guy looks strong! Haha! Fight me!” Malek expresses out loud. The officer looks up at Malek, only being a few years older he couldn’t help to smile when someone compliments him. “No! You’re coming with me!” Mr. Armstrong yells breaking Malek’s smile. He then walks over to Malek and picks him up physically and starts to head outdoors. “Why am I being carried! I can walk you know!” Their arguing faded into the distance.

Outdoors now, Mr. Armstrong puts Malek down and points at the oval track. “The test is simple. Run 5 kilometers and we are timing it, how many pullups you can do in a minute, same with push ups and sit ups. That’s it, got it!” Mr. Armstrong explains. “And when I’m done I can fight right?” Malek responds making his way to the course. “Yes, then you can join them kid!” “Then you better watch closely giant, I am bout to go fast.” With that, Malek starts the examination.

Back to the class, 3 minute battles are starting. Diric VS Marcoon, one of Brandon’s followers are about to go at it. “We are allowed to use our flow abilities right, Mr. Coltaje” Diric asks “Yes you are allowed, but at any moment I b-b-believe it is unsafe, I will s-s-stop the match.” The two boys get ready in their position. ‘Marcoon end him.’ Brandon thinks to himself. “So what you can use flow abilities, you’re just a secter, I’ll definitely get you back for what you and that other kid did to Brandon” Marcoon expresses. A beep sound commences the match. Flow: Speed, Marcoon activates his flow ability as he charges forward. The match lasted only a few seconds. As Marcoon got in front of Diric who has yet to move a muscle, Marcoon believed he would win this match at ease. Lifting his right hand, steel bars come out the arm of Diric and wraps around Marcoon inches from his face. A short blade comes out of his left hand and places it at the neck of Marcoon and turns towards the assistant teacher. “S-s-s-stop! Winner Diric!” Coltaje says out loud. The class once again gasp out of surprise and Brandon’s anger only increases. The one verses one continues with some matches ending quickly with Heather and Brandon, the rest lasted longer.
