After searching for an hour we finally found the guildmaster. He was trapped inside the guild's basement. Laurence helped him out and we all sat down.

"Luckily you guys found me. I thought I'll stay there for the rest of my life!" The guildmaster laughed softly while looking around the town with a sad expression. 

"Hey Keith do you have a world map?" 

"No, but Jamil has one."

"Ok thanks." I got up and went to where Jamil was sitting. "Hey we haven't intoduced us to each other yet right? I'm Shio, nice to meet you."

Jamil: "Nice to meet you I'm Jamil."

"Keith told me you have a world map could I take a look at it?"

"Sure, wait." He reached into his backpack and pulled out a map. He rolled it out on the floor.

So that's how it looks like? Falaina looks like some kind of fish. Or maybe a whale? I wonder where Daimle is. But I can't read what's writen there. "Hey Hellen where is Daimel?"

"I don't know master. I can't see the map."

"Huh? I thought you can see."

"I'm a sword, I don't have eyes. I can sense my surroundings. You can imagine that for me everything is black with white borders. I can 'see' the map but I don't know what's on the map." That's bad." But if I remember right Daimel was a little country in the middle of Demona." I looked at the map. In the middle of the continent was a big country. It was about three quarters of the whole countinent. In the west were two smaller countries, in southeast another one and between Demona and Carmala was an island.

I pointed on the big country in the middle. "That's Daimel right?" 

"Yes that's right. It's written there."

"Yeah..." I don't know if everyone in this world knows how to read. Maybe it's weird if I can't. For now I'll just pretend like I can. "If I'm correct Daimel was a small country in the past. Do you know how it managed to get so big?"

"Ah yes. It wasn't much bigger than Irahl back then but since the new king ascended to the throne it grew."

"The new king?" This guy that attacked me when I left the Spirit Forest mentioned him.

"His name is Daren D. Daimon and he is one of the five remaining demon kings. As far as I know he killed his brother, the real heir and stole the throne. After that he declared war to the whole continent."

"But how did a little country managed to fight all the bigger ones?"

"It's said that Daren D. Daimon has a special ability, a blessing from the demon god." So he's like me one of these sinners Zhifar talked about. "Nobody ever managed to wound him." Isn't that unfair? Well I'm nearly immortal.

This guy from before said he is Daren's son right? "Does he have any kids with the same powers?" 

"No, blessings are not inherted. He has five kids but none of them has the same power as him." Jamil looked at me. "But why are you so interested Daimel?" Ah did I ask to many questions?

"It's just curiosity." I looked at the map to find something to change the subject. "Can you tell me something about this country?" I pointed at a big country above a little one that seemed to be Irahl.

"You mean the Elgard Empire?"

"Yes I thought about going there next."

"I wouldn't recommend that." Jamil leaned forward and began to whisper. "The current emperor Ferald I. Elgard doesn't really care about his people. He's a lazy asshole who only cares about status. Unlike Irahl Elgard still allows slavery. But that wouldn't be a big problem if they would do it like the other countries. Irahl doesn't enslave humans. They only enslave the other races. They hunt elves, demi-humans and other races to turn them into slaves. For them the other races are nothing more than animals."

"And how do the other countries do it?"

"They turn people into slaves if they can't pay taxes, didn't repay debts or something like this. They treat all races equally, but Elgard doesn't allow other races." How did someone like this manage to become emperor? 

I looked at the map again. Elgard was in the north of Irahl. From the south to the west was a big mountain range and in the east was the Spirit Forest. The spirit forest sorrounded another big country on the edge of the continent. This country must be Luciah. "What about the country behind these mountains?" 

"That's Wylheim a demi-human country." Demi-humans huh? I have to cross the mountains or go through Elgard to reach it. But the undeads came from the mountain, maybe the demon is still there. I think I'll take the way through Elgard. 

"I'll go there next. I'll take the way through Elgard." 

Jamil looke at me. "Then you should go there first." He pointed at a little town in the north of Irahl. "There you can register yourself as an adventurer. The guild building in the capital is destroyed so you can't do it here."

"Now that you mention it how does this ranking system work?"

"It uses the same ranking system that is used for monsters, magic and all the other stuff. Your adventurer rank can be one higher than the rank of your mana heart. You have to take the exam to raise your rank. If your mana heart's rank is 3 star you can take the exam for adventurer rank 4."

"Hey Hellen what is this mana heart?"

"The mana heart or mana core is the place where the mana inside of your mana veins comes from. You have to train in order to raise its rank but a normal being can't break through the 6 star rank. The higher its rank, the stronger your magic becomes."

"And magic uses the same system with the stars?"

"Yes. You can learn 10 star magic with a 1 star mana heart but it would be so weak, you wouldn't even notice you used magic."

"Then what rank was the spell you used? And what is the rank of your mana heart?"

"Godess Dormitory is a 7 star spell and my mana heart's rank was also 7." So an angel can reach 7 star?

I spoke to Jamil again. "Ok thanks for the help."

"You're welcome." I got up and walked to where Keith and the others were sitting. While I walked away Jamil looked at me with a sceptical expression on his face.

Keith: "Ah Shio, good you're here. Could you please help bring this to the front gate? It's to heavy for us and Jamil is wounded." He pointed at a big box. "There are heal potions inside."

"Sure, but where's the fornt gate?"

"I'll show you the way." Eyf got up and smiled at me. I picked up the box and followed her. Man this body is really storng. "Say, where are you from Shio?"

"M-Me? I don't really remember my past." I think that's the best option for now.

"So you don't now where you were born?"

"No."

"Is that so? I'm sorry for asking."

"It's ok. And where are you from?"

"I was born in Himmel. It's the only elven country in Carmala. I knew Feyrith since I was little. He was always like a brother to me. We decided to become adventurers and left Himmel together." She said he was like a brother to her and now she's so calm. Or probably she tries not to cry. "That's it, the front gate." In front of us were many wounded adventurers. I put the box down and the both of us began to hand out the potions.

"That was the last one." Eyf looked at me. "Where do you plan to go next?"

"First I'm heading to the town in the north."

"Oh we wanted to go there to. We can't stay here."

"You're not helping to rebuild the capital?"

"We're adventurers, that's not our job." She looked around the destroyed town.

"Shio!" I heared Rey's voice inside of my head.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"The Wendigo's are attacking again! We're going to open a gate at you're position, please hurry!"

"Wait! I'm in the middle of the town." I looked around the town. "There's a building about ten meters behind me. Open the gate there." I ran to the building behind me.

Eyf: "Shio? Wait where are you going?" Eyf followed me and saw how the gate opened in front of me. 

"I have to go."

"Go? Where?"

"I don't have time to explain. Just wait for me." I entered the gate and Eyf looked at it. 

"A gate? Judging from the mana it was opened by a spirit." Eyf put her hand inside of it and hesitated for a moment. She looked at the gate for a few seconds and then entered it.

When I left the gate I was in some kind of cave. Infront of me were Rey and a black human-like spirit. His body looked like it was made out of fog and his head looked like the one of a bird. "Shio!" I turned around and saw Eyf leaving the gate.

"Eyf? Why did you follow me?"

"What do you mean? You suddenly left and said you don't have time to explain, so I just followed you to see what's going on." ...

Rey: "Shio hurry the other are fighting outside!"

Eyf: "Fighting?" Rey left the room and ran up the stairs. 

Me: "Aren't you coming?" I looked at the spirit that sat on the table.

"I can't fight. Just go without me." I followed rey. Eyf looked at the spirit and the decided to follow me.

Hellen: "Master you should explain her what's going on. If you don't she could die."

Me: "You're right." While we ran up the stairs I explained the situation to Eyf.

Eyf: "T-T-The Wendigo?! And there are multiple? And why do you know the spirit queen?"

Me: "That's not important right now. If you don't want to fight you can go back to Irahl. I think the spirit down there can bring you back." 

Eyf: "How could I just leave after hearing that story? I'll help!" We arrived at the surface and looked at our surrondings. We saw Sylviette and the others fighting the Wendigos. I can't use my ability to control them if Eyf is there. 

Kailan: "Oh Undead King, you arrived! Come and stop these monsters!" ...this idoit.

Eyf: "Undead King?" She looked at me. "Shio are you...?"

Me: "N-No of course not!"

Eyf: "Haaa... I would make sense though. You're mana feels strange like the one of an undead and you said you don't remember your past." So it wasn't the best option.

"Ok yeah, I'm the undead king." I took a few steps and then held out my hand. "Stop!" Nothing happend.

Loyd: "You asshole stop playing around and stop them." Loyd and Lilly fought two Wendigos.

Lilly: "Brother how can you talk like this to the undead king!?"

Sylviette: "Shio, what's the problem?" Sylviette pierced one of the Wendigos with a wind spear and looked at me.

Me: "I don't know I can't use my powers."

Hellen: "Master if you can't use your powers you should fight them normal for the time being."

Eyf: "D-Did the sword just talk?" Eyf looked like she saw a ghost. Wait I think a ghost isn't that weird in this world. I looked at Sylviette who fought four of them at the same time and went to help her.

Uppa: "Young lady you shouldn't just stand there." Uppa shot a stream of hot water at one of the Wendigos.

Eyf: "R-Right!" *What's going on?* Eyf was completely confused. She held out her hand and tendrils came out of the ground. They pulled one of the Wendigos down and I stabbed it's heart. The Wendigo screamed and then black fog came out of it. The Wendigo stopped moving.

Kailan: "How the hell did you destroy its heart? They're extremly hard."

Me: "I-I don't know."

Hellen: "Maybe because I'm a holy sword?"

Sylviette: "Of course! Shio was able to contol them that means they must be undeads!"
