I ran home. When Li saw me, he ran to me to put his arms around me but I stopped him. He looked hurt and confused. He reached out to me again and I stepped back.

“What’s wrong beautiful?” Li asked with concern on his face, such a handsome face.

“Why didn’t you tell me that you don’t want me?” I asked while feeling hurt.

“What are you saying?” Li asked in confusion. “That’s not true, I so want you, you’re mine,”

“No you’re lying, don’t lie to me,” I was in tears by then.

“I’m not lying, I swear I love you,” Li said and looked so hurt, I couldn’t take it so I started to run but he grabbed my arm.

“What’s going on? Where are you going?” Li demanded.

“Home,” I replied.

“This is your home,” Li disagreed.

“Not anymore,” I looked to the ground with great sadness. I can’t believe things have come to this. I’m leaving my husband.

“Why are you being like this? What happened? Did someone say something to you?” Li asked and I nodded my head.

“What did they say? Who was it? I’ll kill them. Give me a name,” Li raged.

“Jeff Daniels,” I said, Li froze like something clicked in his mind.

“I’m gonna kill him,” Li said and without another word ran out of the door. I followed him into the car. Li drove and stopped outside Jeff’s house. He broke down the front door and into the house. I ran in too.

“Jeff where the hell are you? I know you’re here, show yourself,” Li yelled and Jeff appeared out of nowhere.

“What do you want?” Jeff asked with a bored tone of voice.

“What did you say to Sage?” Li demanded.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jeff replied cockily. Li punched his jaw without warning and Jeff fell to the floor.

“Don’t play dumb with me Daniels, you said something and now she thinks I don’t want her, I’ll kill you,” Li fumed.

“No Li, you can’t kill him,” I tried to stop Li as I stepped in front of him so he couldn’t get to Jeff.

“I can, he tried to take my wife away from me,” Li disagreed.

“Please don’t,” I pleaded.

“Ok only if he tells you the truth that he lied,” Li agreed.

“Jeff tell the truth,” I said as I glanced at Jeff who nodded his head and said

“I lied,” Jeff admitted. I was shocked, he lied to me. I can’t believe I didn’t believe my mate but believed Jeff, how could I? Li will never forgive me.

“See? Now do you believe me?” Li asked. “I love you so much, I wouldn’t have married you if I felt nothing for you,”

“I believe you, I’m sorry,” I said with my head down in shame.

“I forgive you,” Li said and put his arms around me to kiss me softly. I can’t believe he has forgiven me and that quick but I’m glad were my final thoughts before we left and Li drove us back home.

“I can’t believe I almost lost you,” Li said as he held me close once we were home. I rested my head against Li’s chest and his arms tightened around me. I felt safe and relieved thinking I almost lost him, my mate. I think everything’s going to be fine from now on but little did I know that the incident today was a small taste of what was yet to come.
