Chapter Seven
Later the next morning amidst the gloom of the White City dungeons Dealbata and Shinargi began to stir. Dealbata opened his eyes and looked around the cell, sitting up after about a minute or so.
“Eurgh my head. Where the hell are we?” he asked, sounding kinda stuffy and bunged up.
Shinargi lifted his head and looked around, his weary eyes slowly roaming the shadows.
“Well by the looks of things… AH CHOO!!!… I’d say we were in the White City dungeons.” he sneezed, shooting a wad full of snot drenched leaves across the room.
“The White City dungeons! EEEURGH!!! What the! How the hell did we get here?” Dealbata almost choked, foaming at the mouth, shooting a cluster of bogey soaked foliage across the bed.
“Well how do you think?”
Dealbata looked confused.
“After those fart weeds smacked us over the noggin, they must’ve gone ahead and dragged us back here.” growled Shinargi, drawing to what had to be the obvious conclusion.
“When did we get smacked over the noggin? I don’t remember getting smacked over the noggin.”
“Well we did! I’ve got a lump the size of Mount Arora to prove it.” Shinargi assured him.
“Yeah me too.” said Dealbata, rubbing the back of his skull.
“How long do you think they’re gonna keep us here.”
“Who knows?”
“We’d better get used to it though. We could be stuck here for a while.”
“Not if I’ve got anything to do with it.”
“Yeah. Why? What you gonna do?”
“Pound the first sucker dumb enough to get close to that door with a key. Then I’ll get us out of here.”
“Yeah well good luck with that. They‘ll probably put us to work you know. Slave labour I‘ll bet.”
“Oh well woopee doo!!! Ain’t that just bloody marvellous! Why if I ever get my hands on those stink popping little fart weeds again, I’ll. I‘ll.” stuttered Dealbata.
“You’ll what?” said Shinargi.
“I’LL RIP THEIR BLOODY HEADS OFF! THAT’S WHAT I’LL DO!!!” he bellowed at the top of his lungs, startling the sleeping Dokra down the hall and just about everybody else in a one mile radius as well. Not that he cared. They could all suffer insomnia for the rest of their lives for all he cared.
