The parents of the child kept prying the cat from the child. Once they finally succeeded, the child would start to throw his signature tantrum.
‘He just won’t let go of the damn cat. He throws a fit or the cat starts to scratch anyone who touches it. My Sweet Plum, we can’t bring that thing with us back home. We don’t know where it’s been. What it can possibly be carrying right now.’
The father of the boy looks at the child, resting in the hospital bed. Seeing him petting the cat or what he’s calling it, ‘that thing.’ He was getting agitated, just thinking how the hospital bills will be eating out his wallet, because of that cat.
‘Look, I know he wants a cat, but we can always buy one from the shelter, a cleaner one than that thing, or a fish at least. What about a dog like the one that lady rescuer had when we found Damion. Here’s a better idea, what if I call her group right now, and I give her a number for her dog.’
While the parents bickered behind the opened curtain about the pet situation, the demon cat couldn’t help but finally be relieved from the mysterious child’s name. He rolled onto his back to reveal his belly, letting the kid give him belly rubs as well as feeding him food, that the human nurse brought in. He kept thinking to himself how glorious, it is to be treated like a king once again.
After a few weeks of running some tests and monitoring the child, the doctor was finally able to let him go safely home. That is to say if the child was even living in a home. One look at the place, and he knew he made the wrong choice on keeping this human as a servant and his blood power energy drink. Entering the place was just cruel to be in.
The hospital room was captivating as well as the food they provided for the child, so how the hell did all of this turn into a shabby run-down box with one wall dividing everything between the home and the bathroom. He turned to look at the child, who couldn’t stop smiling once he saw a present wrapped in newspaper on top of a very short kid's size table.
The demon cat couldn’t help, but have his mouth gaping wide enough that his soul can escape at any moment. He sat near a corner and quietly cried that the fact of him living a comfortable lifestyle isn’t part of this journey. Looking back at the family with the information he was able to gather so far, the little one is named ‘Damion’ and the lady acts like his mother, her name at the moment is ‘Sweet Plum’ and the other male is just an ass to everything they do together.
He pondered on how they were able to afford that nice room and food. As the child really doesn’t quite remember anything that had happened. During the relief, and tears of joy of the reunion. He doesn’t seem to be fazed by the fact that he needed to fight off some wolves, either. The demon cat looked straight up towards the corner of the walls, and the only thing that seems reasonable is that he might have some power for human manipulation.
He walked towards the family leaped up the pathetic child height table and sat in front of Damion. Looking him dead in the eyes, trying to sense any form of magic he might have. Although Damion wanted to do was play and pet around.
While both got distracted with one another, Sweet Plum grabbed an old yellow leather collar from the bookshelf and wrapped it around the demon cat’s neck. It did startle him at first, but he knew it was just another gift from a human, there was no reason to show his true intentions quite yet. He didn’t feel any negative threat from both of them besides the ass of a father, who has already declared on separating him from Damion.
