Friday came faster than expected, everything was good and they got print outs of the sonogram for themselves as well as Leon’s mother’s, sister and grand parent’s, mostly his grandmother right now. Ethan took a picture with his phone and sent it to his brother and Louis to share his joy. Louis in return shared his engagement ring that James gave him the night before, they were going to wait on having a baby of their own till he was eighteen. For now he was going to live vicariously through Ethan. They went shopping for photo frames and then they picked up a cake for dessert, and one more for home.
Ethan was getting anxious as they were approaching his parents house, Leon couldn’t blame him after the other day. He just put his arm around him and snuggled him in an attempt to calm him as Mark drove. When they arrived Ethan looked up at the large house, or rather small mansion that Leon had grown up in.
“They’ll love you like I do.” Leon whispered soothingly to his mate. “And if for some stupid reason they don’t we’ll just leave.”
“You sure…? I know I’m not the greatest cho-“ Leon kissed him, cutting him off. They’d had this talk several times and each time it ended with the fact he didn’t care about his past, what he cared about was their future.
“We talked about this my love, stop fretting about it.” He told him. “You belong with me.” He smiled and opened the door then slid out, he turned around and held his hand out to help him out. Mark fetched the bags from the back and handed them to Leon before they headed to the door.
“I’ll be back around nine if you need me sooner give me a call.” He told him.
“Running away from my sister?” Leon teased.
“Of course not, I’m just worried the cake might melt and then there’s things to do now that the two of you are out of the house.” He lied.
“We’ve been out all day, and you know you could just bring it inside with you.”
“I was busy and out and about myself, look Madam Naomi and Madam Lorain are already at the door waiting for you.” He said changing the subject.
“You’re not going to be able to run forever, she will catch you.” Leon said letting it go as he looked to his mothers. “Good afternoon Mama’s.” He said with a smile and an arm securely around Ethan as they walked.
“Well look at you both, I’ve never seen you smile so much. It's so nice to meet you Ethan. I'm Leon’s mother Lorain, and this is his mother Naomi.” She introduced them to him.
She was an Omega Black cat with long black hair that hid more greys then she would admit, that tanned skin that was passed to her children and green eyes. She was a typical female Omega, Standing at 5’4” with wide hips and a thick curvy frame and large chest, a seemingly opposing look to her wife Naomi. Naomi stood at the 6’ mark with shoulder length orange hair and amber eyes, she was more built like the Alpha she was, but was clearly putting on a bit more weight in her age, she had more of an ambiguous appearance and was now leaning more towards a male appearance as she aged. To Ethan, they were both beautiful and he could clearly see where Leon got his stunning looks from.
“I’m pleased to meet you both.” Ethan said with a smile as they walked up to them. He held his hand out a bit nervously as Naomi looked him up and down.
“Oh sweetie we don’t shake hands.” Lorain said as she pulled him into a big warm hug. “Now come on inside, Felicia is already here and so is Naomi’s mother Therese. We have some yummy snacks and drinks to have before dinner.” She said pulling him inside. Both Alpha’s watched their Omega’s as they went inside, both wanted their mates to be happy so they let their possessive natures go.
“He is rather adorable, and he does make you happy.” Naomi said to her son as they followed their mates inside.
“Yes he does, I really never thought I’d even like males, but there he is my perfect mate, I take him a million times over.”
“I always thought you’d break that family tradition, maybe it’s why you never settled down till now, I always thought it would be me but when I met your mother I fell quite hard for her.”
“I heard you fell quite hard right into her chest.”
“That was an accident but a glorious one.” She said with a toothy grin, she had met her wife when she had rounded a corner too quickly and tripped and face planted right into her chest and instantly fell in love with boobs and her scent.
“And the start of most of your problems.” He teased his mother. His eyes were on Ethan’s cute ass, he had always been more of an ass guy and not all that interested in breasts like his mother and brother. Maybe that should have been a sign that he might like men more. He was his first though and his only because deep down he was sure that he was made for him.
“Perhaps it’s best you all marry men then, although your idiot brother seems to take after me in preferences.”
“Where is he anyways?”
“Right now? I don’t know, running away from his problems as always, he seemed upset that his big brother was ignoring him and now found his mate so he can’t have you as his wingman.”
“He needs to find something that interests him.”
“You can say that again.”
They walked into the dinning room where Felicia sat next to an elder female Omega tiger, she had golden color hair that may have once been orange her eyes were the same amber as her daughters her face was showing it’s sixty years of age but just a little, she still looked like the refined elegant Omega grandmother she was. She was short from what Ethan could tell, maybe just pushing five foot, but her kind smile made him feel welcomed here.
“This is my mother Threse, she’s been eager to meet you, and to apologize for my father-in-law, not that she has to.” Lorain told him.
“Pleased to finally meet you Ethan, and as Lorain said I’m sorry about my stick in the mud husband.” She told him. “He won’t be showing up tonight so don’t worry, he’s been enjoying sleeping alone on the couch.”
“Oh, Pleased to meet you ma’am.” Ethan said nervously but not as much as he’d been on the ride here.
“Oh, call me Grandmother if you like, I’m used to it, and from what I hear you’re going to be family soon enough.” She told him. “Come sit next to me, I see you brought some things.” She said, eyeing the bags that Leon carried.
“We bought cake and umm gifts.” He looked at Leon a bit nervously. He wasn't sure what to say, Leon had told everyone about how they met, but they were here to announce to his mothers they were expecting.
“Yes, we picked them out today just for you.” Leon said, handing over the bags. There was one for his grandmother, one for his sister and one for both of his mothers, they were custom frames each with a copy picture of their kitten. He stood next to his mate putting his arm around him as they pulled their gifts from the bags.
“What is this?” Naomi said, pulling it out. “‘Hi Grandmas’? Wait! Oh!” She looked at her son, Naomi looked at them both as well in surprise. They had been the only two that didn’t know till now.
Loraine broke into tears and gently hugged Ethan. “This is such beautiful news! Oh you precious boy, they are beautiful.” She said sobbing. He hugged her back and petted her a tad unsure, but glad she was happy.
“I’m going to be an Auntie.” Felicia said proudly.
“And I will be a first time great grandmother, Colliene can stick it in her craw when I see her next week.” Therese said a bit too proudly.
“Look, you can see their little ears and tail.” Felicia pointed out. “Oh grandfather is missing out on this, see these moments are the most precious.”
“I told you they would be happy.” Leon whispered into his ear.
“Do you know what you are having?” Naomi asked. “How about names have you picked out any?”
“Not yet, it is a bit early and someone wasn’t cooperating during the sonogram so we couldn’t tell.” Leon told them.
“We have narrowed down the names, I mean they could change but we were thinking Natalya Louise for a girl and Leon Andrews for a boy.” Ethan answered nervously. He wasn’t sure how they would react.
“Oh I like that, Natalya, is that a family name?” Therese asked.
“My mother’s name was Natalie and I thought it was a nice tribute to her.”
“That’s a beautiful tribute.” Lorain said finally letting him go. “I hope it’s a girl.”
“I hope it’s a boy and you reverse the names,” Felicia said. “Having one tiger named Leon is more than enough in this family.”
“My Grandfather, your great grandfather, was also a Leon.” Naomi told her. “It’s a great family name, he’d be proud to have it passed down.”
“Then why did he name his only son Gerald?”
“That was my Grandmother’s choice, and maybe he doesn’t deserve it.” She added. The three women nodded in mutual agreement after a moment.
“Come on, sit down with both of you and eat.” Lorain said, pulling the chair out for Ethan. “You need to put on more weight, even for an Avian you’re skinny.”
“I keep telling him that.” Leon said as they sat down, he pulled his chair next to Ethan’s so he could protect him and spoil him.
“Doctors said I was at a healthy weight.” He said with a pout.
“He also said it wouldn’t hurt to put on some weight.” Leon told him as he brought over one of the cheese platters for him to pick from. “At least your eating habits are better.” He said as Ethan took some of the apple slices as well as some of the cheese, before he tended to gravitate to just the junk food but recently he had found a craving for fruits.
“Don’t tell a pregnant person what to eat.” Lorain scolded him. “He can eat what he wants, with that said what would you like to drink?” She asked.
“Juice? I like sweet apple juice, well I’ve had cravings for all kinds of fruits recently, apples, blueberries, strawberries, peaches, cherries. I’m glad there’s a store near the apartment. Leon has been great about getting me anything I can think of when the cravings hit.” He admitted.
“Anything for you my little birdy.” Leon told him.
They continued making small talk over snacks and then dinner, Ethan finally felt comfortable and welcomed here. Lorain gave him her cell number if he had any questions, she knew it was nerve wracking when you were expecting your first. The exhaustion finally hit him hard after they had finished their desserts and unfortunately he fell asleep on the couch as they were talking. Leon let him sleep the whole ride home carrying him to and from the car changing him into his Pajamas before tucking him into bed next to him to sleep.
The next week went well, Leon went back to work and called Ethan during lunch where they facetimed as they ate ‘together’. He came home on time as well and the first thing he did was find Ethan and snuggle him up before they had dinner. Most of the time Ethan met him at the door, occasionally he found him in their room reading a book. They spent Friday nights at his mother’s with his sister and his grandmother, it took three more weeks till his grandfather finally came around and apologized to Ethan. Leon found out what they were having but kept it to himself. Things were looking up, he officially proposed to Ethan at dinner one night and now they were talking about their actual wedding.
It was September and Ethan was counting down the days till he and Leon got married, 42 days, he had gone out to the Library with Mark and was looking for a book that he was suggested to read to help him get his HED. He was preoccupied that he didn’t notice the stout figure that came up behind him until he spoke.
“Hello Candy Cane.” He said. Before he could even react there was sudden sharp pain in his head and then everything went fuzzy.
