By the time I got to my room, I was a mess. My heart couldn’t take it, I had been rejected once again and began to question what was so wrong with me that no one wanted me. So what if I am weak, why should that matter? It doesn’t make me any different to any other guy, sure others are stronger than me but that doesn’t mean I will be a bad mate. I would cherish my mate and give her anything she desires to make her happy. She would be loved and I’d make her feel like she was special because that’s what she deserves. I can’t believe rank matters so much to she wolves, why should it matter? We’re all wolves at the end of the day.

I was whimpering so much that I didn’t hear my bedroom door open and close.

“Toby, what the hell is going on?” a familiar voice demanded loudly and snapped me out of my misery for a second before I burst into tears. Alpha Drew’s eyes widened before he said softly

“Oh Toby,” the Alpha came closer and ended up sitting beside me on the bed. “What happened?”

It took me a while to calm down and reply.

“I found my second chance mate but she rejected me,” I sobbed.

“You got rejected again?” Alpha Drew became angry again before muttering. “What is wrong with these girls, don’t they have eyes?”

“I’m sorry Alpha,” I spologised.

“Your mate will be the one who is sorry when I get my hands on her,”

“But then she’ll hate me even more,”

“I won’t condone this again, who is she Toby?”

“Tell me,” Alpha Drew ordered.

“But-”

“No buts, I didn’t get to punish the mate who rejected you first but this one won’t get away. I won’t allow anyone to get rejected, she needs to be punished and made an example of so this never happens again. Mates should be cherished not rejected because you only get one chance with them,” Alpha Drew disagreed. His words made the tears fall out of my eyes. If only he was right, then I wouldn’t have been rejected by two mates. How did I even get two mates? You only get one. I got two yet they both didn’t want me. “Who is she? Give me a name,”

“I don’t know her name,” I admitted. I didn’t even get the priveledge to know the one who rejected me second. I wasn’t worthy enough in her eyes to know her name. “She didn’t tell me, she rejected me as soon as we met,”

I sniffled.

“But you do know what she looks like?” Alpha Drew smirked. “Show me who she is,”

“I don’t want her to get hurt,”

“Why are you protecting her Toby? She hurt you, she rejected you. She shouldn’t have dared to mess with one of my pack members, she will pay. Show me to her now Toby. If you don’t then I will have to punish you,”

I gulped before agreeing. “Yes Alpha,”

I wiped my tears before leading the Alpha to my mate’s room which I found from following her scent. Her parents were there with her and looked really surprised to get a visit from the Alpha. My mate however, was glaring daggers at me. She really hates me doesn’t she? But why? Why couldn’t she have just accepted me? I know I am not the best looking guy but I am her mate. Our souls were joined together for a reason, we would be happy together but she chose not to be and now Alpha Drew is going to punish her. There is nothing I can do for her, once the Alpha’s mind is made up there is no swaying it especially not from a low ranking wolf such as myself no matter how hard I plead.

“Alpha,” my mate’s Dad greeted respectfully. “To what do we owe this pleasure?”

“You haven’t been on my territory 5 minutes and your daughter has already committed a crime which must be punished,” Alpha Drew said angrily. “Or I will have to ask you to leave,”

“What?” my mate’s parents looked at their daughter in confusion before demanding angrily. “What the hell have you done?”

“She found her mate among my pack members and rejected him. Rejection is not tolerated in my pack, as you are aware it was agreed with your Alpha that your pack will follow our rules while you stay with us,”

“I apologise on behalf of my daughter Alpha Drew. I did not expect this of her and taught her better than this. She will take whatever punishment you see fit for her crime,” my mate’s dad apologised.

My mate gulped.

“Excellent,” Alpha Drew smirked at my mate who gulped even more, good she should be scared. “Enjoy the rest of your evening, I will let you know once I have decided her punishment,”

“Of course Alpha and again we are very sorry this has happened,”

Although my mate would be punished, it did nothing to help with my broken heart. I couldn’t get my head around the fact that I had been rejected by two girls in a short amount of time and my self esteem was very low. I already felt as though the whole world was against me with being an omega. I thought that once I met my mate that would all change. I’d finally have someone who loved me and would feel like I mattered like I was a part of wolf society despite having the lowest rank. I thought I’d be equal with my mate and she’d accept me no matter who I am but I thought wrong. Two mates and both don’t want me. I feel useless, I can’t stay here I decided before getting a bag ready with all my belongings. I didn’t have much, it all fit in a back pack.

I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed what food I could to keep me going until I found a place to stay.

I sighed once I was done. How did it come to this? I never thought I’d ever be leaving my pack but I have no reason to stay, my mate doesn’t want me and this pack treats me like I am the dirt on the floor. I have no choice but to leave.

I grabbed the handle of the back door and turned it but before I could pull the door open, a voice growled

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?”
