Chapter 12: Demons, real or myth?

In the school, I’m fixing my stuff at my locker and I heard some students talking about the news earlier and I just ignore them.

I go at the classroom and I stared out the window thinking a plan to protect calix from the guardian.

The first period star and Sir Pedro Domingez enter the class, “Good morning class.”

“Morning.” “Goodmorning Sir” “Welcome sir” some of my classmate said.

The teacher disscussings about Geometry and he called me.

“Mr. Francesco?” Sir Domingez called me.

I’m still staring out the window, I didn’t hear him.

“Mr. Francesco?” He repeated, “Mr.Francesco are you okay?”

I snapped, “Yes sir, sorry for didn't answer right away, what is question?”

He point at the board and said, “ If the line m is parallel to the side AB of ?ABC, what is angle a?”

I answered, “Two parallel lines(m & side AB) intersected by side AC so the answer is a= 50o (interior angles).”

“Good.” He smiled.

After the disscusion we have a remaining time, “Class we have a 20 minutes remaining time so I will show you something.” He turn on the tv on the classroom. “We’ll watch some news earlier.”

[Breaking news]

“This is Balitanews you’re morning news, I'm Mikey Enriques reporting on last night's killing of 15 people in different parts of Caloocan.” He stop for a while, “The PNP is still investigating killings in various parts of Caloocan-.” Sir Domungez turn off the TV

“What can you say about this news.” Sir Domingez asked.

Zeki raised his hand and Sir domingez nod, “Sir, all I can say is i think only one person did that, that all.”

“Good, know you have a conspiracy theory about this I just read a while ago, it said a demon killed those people.” He sit on the top of the table, “Here is my question, do you believe in Myths? Superstition? God? or in unexplained circumstances?”

The one student said, “Of course not I don’t believe in those thing exepct God.”

“And how do you expalained why did God exist, aren't they almost the same.” I rebucked.

The one student silenced.

“Let me change my question.” Sir domingez breathed, the student were thrilled by the topic, “Demons, real or myth?” he smiled.

“Myth!” I smiled and my eyes met and Sir Domingez eyes, he’s smirking.

“Hmmm... Interesting.” He looked at his watch, “Ohh it’s my class already finished... Class dismiss.” He leaving the classroom and he remember something, “Ohh... I forgot to say, this is my last meeting you guys, Mrs. Dela-cruz will return... Bye guys...” Sir domgigez said.

“Bye sir we’ll miss you.” Some student said.

*Breaktime at the school ground with Jayen*

“Jayen.” I said looking at the sky.

“Yes?” he said without looking at me.

“Are you ready to fight some Guardian or Human?” Spinning my pen at my hand.

“Humans?” he look at me.

“Yes human.”

“Why Human? I thought Guardian is the sworn enemies of the demon.” He titled his head.

“Not because the guardian is our enemy, we are no longer fighting humans ... They also hired people so that their actions would not be detected immediately”

“Ohh.. Okay...” he look away.

“So? Are you ready?” I said looking at him.

“I dont know.”

“Later we’ll train again.” I walk away.

After school we go home.

[Calix’s P.O.V.]

*After school At my room*

I watch some TV series at my room and eating some snacks, ehile eating snacks a notification pop-up on my phone, it was a groupchat.

“Guys? Wanna Hangout?” Trixie sent a text.

“It’s already late you still want to hangout.” Abel texted.

“I’m in!” Analyn replies to Trixie.

“How about Jayen and Calix?” Trixie asked.

“I’m in!” I replied.

“Me too, I’ll invite Luca!” Jayen texted.

“That good.” Trixie texted.

“How about me?” Abel asked.

“You said you didn't want to.” Analyn replied.

“Haa? When did I said that? I said ‘It’s already late you still want to hangout.’ I didn’y mean that I dont want to!” Abel text.

“Why are you angry?” trixie texted.

“I’m not!” Abel replied.

“Okay...” “Let’s meet at the front of the school.”

“Okay.” We sent a texted.

I wash my face and get undress to change clothes. I whore a pink skirt and pink blouse. I finding my purse. I spot a black and white polkadots purse under my bed. I put my wallet and my phone on the purse.Going downstairs, I hear my mom talking on phone.

“ -hree days from now?... Okay I’ll give it to you sir.... Thank you.” Her mom said on the phone.

“Mom, I'm leaving.” I said.

“Where are you going.” My mom asked.

“My friends invited me.” I replies while puting my sandals.

“Okay, take care.”

Before leaving I asked my Mom, “By the way, who were you talking to earlier?”

My Mom mumbles nervously, “It’s is my Boss, he said he want the paperwork to finish in three days.”

“If you say so.” I leave the house.

I checked my wallet to see how many my money, I see only 20 pesos on my wallet I rush back to my house to borrow some money to my mother.

I open the door of my house and I’m shocked that bumped my mother with the door.

“I’m sorry...” helping her to stand up.

“Next be careful.” Said mom

“By the way can I borrow some money?” I said

“Okay..” Her face shows dissapointment. She take out her wallet and handed a 1000 and 500 peso bill.

“Thank you.” My corners of his mouth turned up
