Chapter 8: You have lost

(Tomorrow is the last date.)

Licht-" We will need to cross that road, tomorrow. If we kill someone from this area it's simple to understand that the killer is from someone in this area."

Koi-" But that place is closed and it's being guarded by the police. The quarantine is strict this time. They won't allow us to cross."

Licht-" We will need to wait. There are police officers appointed to patrol this area and each area has this which means the remaining police officers are here to rest, so they will take turns to rest. "

Ken-" They are switching ever three hours which means 8 times a day. So once we enter we have 8 chances to comeback within a day."

Licht-" Yeah, but we cannot take so many chances. We need to get back here before anyone starts looking for us. So we will enter when they switch turns and within the next turn we will have to finish our task."

"But what if they find us. We are obviously suspicious."

"No there are some people who goes around like the transporters and some people since the post said father and son so if the son is hidden, we will fail that's why fathers still move out for buying emergency stuff. If we are caught we are suspicious but if we enter a random house it would mean that we are that house members. There is not much info on those who live anyways."

Ken-" But we are still 19. Not a father."

Licht-"Try to hide yourself completely. You just need to avoid four police officers. People won't look out of house exposing themselves and give a chance for the killer. Looking outside the house is dangerous. Even by mistake we catch both father and son they are dead so they won't. So hide yourself instead of asking doubts."

Koi-"So you have found a plan to kill them alone?"

Licht-" Well yeah you can say that."

Ken-" Damn the place offered by them is so cool. You can keep eye on them anytime from here and it's luxurious too. What is Ain doing?"

Licht-" yeah that helps a lot and Ain is watching her animes. She would say what if we die, I have to finish my watchlist. She is like this from morning-binge watching."

(Next day after crossing the road.)

"Someone please come for help. Someone just broke all my windows glass. Please help. I need to protect my children"

Kai( A police officer with strong sense of justice)- " We will leave right now. Please give your address."

Kai-"Guys, we have an emergency we need to go there immediately someone has broken Mrs. Hanza's windows. It could be the killers."

(Rushes towards them in a car.)

Kai-"Hello sir, we have found a suspicious behaviour and are heading towards them."

Mahiro-" You guys are in four or more in number right?"

Kai-"Yes we are four."

Mahiro-"Good. Never leave a chance for a solo kill. He doesn't have an option of multiple kills. So throughout your investigation never leave anyone alone."

Kai-"Ok sir."

(The mobile rings.)

Police 1-"This is a social media call? Who is trying to call like this."

(Attends the call.)

"Can you see me?"-unknown

Police 1-"How can I see you? you are wearing a mask."

"Do you want to see my face?"

Police 1-"Can you stop your pranks? We are busy at the moment."

"Ohh, you must be heading towards the place where I broke the glasses."

Police 1-"Are you the one who did it?"

"Idiot. Just now I said I broke them. "

Police 1-"Are you the serial killer?"

"Perhaps. So do you want to see my face now?"

Police 1-(whispers)"Hey guys, the killer is on the call. He is ready to reveal his face. "

Police 2-"Most probably a trap. He would have demands."

"Yup, I have my demands. As I remove my mask I want you to remove your mask as well and don't try to oversmart me I shall not reveal until you reveal yourself and can you say the guy who is trying to make a call to shut down his phone?"

Police 1- " let's play safe and cut this call here."

Kai-" No. We will show our face and have his face seen and end this case here."

Police 1-"No...I am cutting the call-"

(Kai grabs the phone and tell others to switch of the phone)

(The other police officer shut down his phones continuing with the rest.)

Kai-"On what basis should I beleive you?"

"Well I am a man of my word. If I have to lie that means I am misfit to be a serial killer."

"Don't agree to him. He is just asking for the victims face. He will kill you once he gets your face picture."

After muting the call.

Kai-"But if show my face and reveal his face to you guys we can stop the serial killing here."

Police 2-"You do have a point but....."

Kai-"Don't worry. I am ready to die for this case to end."

(Unmuting..)

Kai-"I accept your demand"

(Removes his mask.)

Kai-" Now it's time to reveal yourself."

"Yeah, yeah I am keeping my word."

Kai-"Everyone look, look it's the killer."

(Removes his mask)

Licht-"Woah, woah cooldown. There is no use in showing my face to them."

Kai-"Haha. What do you mean? There is no way you can win now. Even if you have my picture it doesn't mean that you can kill me. Since we know who the victim is. I just need to stay in this group without leaving their side. Will you kill all four of us here? But sadly, you dont have place their pictures. Aren't you missing some slots and some pictures. You have lost."

Licht-"Well, I am not here for one life. You four will die here."
