Jack looked at Liam and then over to the girls setting in the corner of the room, he looked back at Liam "so the thing is that I don't have a topic right now" he said as his head dropped "I'm sorry that you have to be in a group with me when you could have been with some of the other girls or boys." Liam looked at Jack with a puzzled look "first of why should I be sorry to be in a group with you, and is there a reason that you don't have a topic yet?"  

Jack looked up from his desk to look at the bord ".... Nobody really likes me here, and now that you are forced to be with me, I may drag you down with me, and the reason I don't have a topic right now is that the girl sitting over in the corner is James fox's girlfriend Sarah Winter and she kind of stole my idea." as Jack talked he turned his head to look at Liam and he seemed to have a look of pity or maybe it's concern on his face.

Liam looked over at Sarah and then back at Jack "Why would she steal your topic?" Liam asked Jack looked at Liam for a second before answering "The day before she did it she bumped into me in the hallway but made it seem like to her boyfriend that I pushed her, he gave me a black eye, and now I think she is out to get me. And I know if I say to the teacher that she stole my topic, she will either tell James or the teacher won't believe me and just tell me to sit down and stop wasting my time."

Liam looked almost disgusted "What is wrong with the people here?" Jack sighed "Let us just find a new topic so we can begin to work on the project."

time skip to after school

Jack and Liam were walking side by side down the hallway on their way home " Hey Jack I was thinking if maybe we could work more on the project together at home or something." Liam asked willed he scratched the back of his head Jack stopped and looked at Liam in disbelief "Do you mean you want to willingly spend time with me?" Liam also stopped and looked at Jack "of course." he said and gave him a big smile Jack looked at Liam and gave him a little smile before looking down at the ground "okay, then we can be at my house I just have to ask my mat- ugh, my mom." Jack said as he began walking again, he almost slipped up calling his mom mater in public that would have been a bad idea, almost as bad as taking Liam with him home.
