The next week, the week before the final exams of this semester, will be a very peaceful week. Miyo, who mostly studies from books, doesn't seen the point in going to the last few lectures before the exam, especially since they aren't compulsory.

That is why the only day of the week Miyo goes to the university this week is Monday, since he has to hand in his assignment. The lecture on Monday starts at 11:15 AM, so Miyo doesn't have to wake up early. When Miyo walks to the university, he sometimes sees a 'lost' poster with his birds picture on it. Unfortunately no one has called him yet.

Once he arrives at the lecture hall, he sees Haru is already there, so he goes sit next to him. They discuss their finished projects. Just before the lecture starts, GoGo rushes in. Almost late as usual. After he sits down next to Miyo, the lecture starts. The lecture is just about exam preparation, so Miyo doesn't listen and falls asleep.

At the end of the lecture, GoGo slaps Haru to wake him up. It's time to hand in the assignment. When Miyo stands up to walk to the front of the classroom, he notices Dai is sitting in the row behind him. Miyo looks away, and he wonders how he made the mistake of sitting so close to Dai, who he wants to avoid as much as possible.

When Miyo hands in his assignment, the professor looks at him, slightly disappointed. He must have caught Miyo sleeping. As soon as he flips through Miyo's assignment his eyes brighten again. Miyo is a top student, and his projects always look fresh and neat. The professor gives Miyo a compliment, wishes him luck on the exam and then Miyo walks away.

Haru and GoGo are going to  study together now, but Miyo refuses to go with them, this time for good reason. He knows he won't be able to study seriously if he goes with them. 

So Miyo goes to study on his own. He usually studies at home, but his home feels a little too empty, so he goes to the library instead. There are seats in the windows, and Miyo likes those. Miyo climbs into a window, puts on headphones, and starts flipping through the exam material. He also makes a lot of physics exercises. When he finishes reviewing everything, it's already dark outside. He decides to go home before he accidentally falls asleep in the library. 

Just when he is about to leave, he gets a call from Juro. Juro asks whether he wants to walk home together and maybe get dinner on their way home. Since Miyo doesn't have any other plans and prefers not going home by himself, he agrees. They decide to meet in front of the library.

Stepping into the fresh air outside Miyo feels awake again. Soon he sees Juro and together they go get dinner at a small cafe. Walking home, there's almost no one around and he feels calm, forgetting his problems. He also feels like Juro's cheerfulness affects him. When they get to their building they walk up the stairs and part ways after saying good night.

Reaching home Miyo suddenly doesn't want to do anything anymore. When he walks through his door the loneliness hits him once again. He walks straight to his bed and falls onto it. He feels like his life isn't bad, but once you start overthinking, stopping it is hard. With his eyes closed he lies on the bed. Will this ever stop? the whole previous year has been going downhill. A tear rolls down the corner of his eye, but he is already asleep. Since he is asleep, he misses an unknown number calling him.

Next morning Miyo wakes up to 15 missed calls from an unknown number. Miyo doesn't recognize the number, but decides to call it. The phone is picked immediately and he hears a female voice: 'Why didn't you pick up? What the hell were you doing?' Miyo recognizes the voice now. It's his sister.

'Sorry, I was sleeping and I didn't recognize your number.'

The voice on the other side is still slightly annoyed: 'First of all, who goes to sleep at 8 PM?! Is this really my brother? Second of all, did you just forget my existence? I haven't texted you in over a week, but you didn't wonder if something was wrong? Also I sent you an email, saying i lost my phone and I even sent you my new number. Of course you never read my emails.'

Miyo feels guilty, since it's true he never checks his mail unless it's about school, so he apologizes, and quickly creates a new contact called 'Nao'.

Nao continues: 'Anyway, I wanted to tell you something. In one or two months I'll be visiting you. I'll have some time to finally see your apartment for about a week. Also don't tell our parents.'

Miyo's eyes sparkle. He hasn't seen Nao in about three years. After this they continue talking for a while until Nao has to go.

After knowing his sister will visit him in a month or two he feels happier. For the rest of the week he still checks whether anyone has found DaiDai and mostly studies for the upcoming exams.

Nothing too special happens and Miyo feels calm before the exams. He also talks to Haru and GoGo more again, and he even has become pretty close with his neighbor, Juro.
