Alex
I woke up, gasping for air from the painful throbbing feeling that seemed to be subsided the moment I opened my eyes. I turned to the side, using my slightly trembling arms as leverage to move into a sitting position. I gave myself time to shake off whatever effect the pain had on me.
I glanced at the clock for the time. 06:00 AM.
I’ve never wok – I stopped my thought and realized that I was still in my new room.
‘What happened?’ I asked myself, then I suddenly remembered. The clock, my blurry vision, my throbbing head, the book, the lights, everything.
‘Aren’t you hungry?’
I looked up and found the window guy staring at me.
It felt like we had some kind of staring contest. His face, he had the sort of face you would forget even if you looked at it for a long damn time or maybe it was just me. I mean, he looked just like those guys in your crazy fantasies. Big miscle, big ego, and tiny heart but well liked by women.
‘Are you hungry, missy?’ he asked again with a frustrated tone.
‘Where is he? What did he do to me?. How long have you been here?’
The silence was between us before he let out a sigh ‘Leave it. He isn’t here and won’t have the time for someone like you.’ He said, watching me with a mean-looking smile on his face.
I was about to protest but this loud growl restrained me from doing so. I looked at the bowl on the tray table. What if this time they put something in?
‘Your life doesn’t worth xxx, so there’s nothing in it, missy’
‘I have a name and it’s Alex.’
‘Hn’
‘Nice to meet you too, John. So, when will I meet your master again?’I asked before he made a move to leave this room.
‘Instead of getting yourself into trouble, why don’t you just sit here and be a good little wife he wants.’ He said.
“Whose wife to who?’ I sneered in disgust ‘I will leave this rathole sooner or later and that’s a promise.’ I added.
‘Better shut your stupid mouth before it got yourself killed, missy. He is not someone you invite to your tea party.’ He said with a serious look on his face, but he had to take a small pause when I laughed at his word. ‘Take this as a warning.’
He stared at me a bit longer before he left the room and not to forget the lock. I stared at the door and that was the moment I remembered my situation. I was a prisoner and I needed to get out of this crap house soon.
I looked around this dim room. The more I saw it the more I thought it was just some next-level rathole.
‘and here I thought, I was about to be royalty if I got some rich man.’
The jingling key from the door
What is it this time?
Elena got in
‘Sorry to disturb. Alex, you have appointment at noon.’ My name still sounded a bit different when she called me that way, but it was a lot better than what she used to call me.
‘Appoinment for what?’
‘Your nail and hair to done and fitting.’ This was not real.
‘Where am I going?’ I asked ‘What if I don’t want to?’
‘I don’t want anything to do with that.’
‘But he want you to.’
‘The hell with him.’
‘I afraid it happen whether you like it or no.’
Awesome.
