Enen Makki, a poor 9 year old orphan left stranded in the rubble of his destroyed hometown Bham.
His soulless eyes looking no where but one direction... the direction of what once used to be his home.
Makki barely clings onto his fragile life, waiting...waiting.... for death to reach upon him.
The nightless sky filled with nothing but darkness.
His silent cries reached only the empty void of his own mind never to be heard by anyone.
"he....l.....p....." he barely muttered in his dying voice.
He extended out his malnourished hand slowly with all the energy he had left into the ominous night sky... waiting... waiting for what seemed an eternity for something to happen.
His arm dropped and his head lowered. His life now what seemed like finally coming to an end, closed his eyes slowly, dropped to the floor completely and layed there.
'The time has finally come'
That was the only thought occupied in his empty mind.
'The time has finally come...'
All of a sudden, from the depths of darkness, appeared a strong light piercing through, reaching even the corners of what seemed like a black hole admists the colossal size debris and rubble, shun across to the position where Makki layed for what seemed like certain death.
"Hello?"
"Is anyone there?" yelled a voice
Makki tried to reply back but had no energy to do so.
Then the light slowly started getting closer and closer, flashing brightly at all directions like a frantic lighthouse.
Distant yells turned to audible footsteps as the figure grew closer towards Makki.
And now stood before Makki, the light was shun at his face.
The figure of a young boy who looked about the same age stood before him.
"Hey, are you alright!?" the boy asked
"I'm....o.....k...."
Suddenly Makki passed out completely.
"Oh No! I need to save him!" exclaimed the figure as he frantically picked up Makki and put him on his back.
He used all his strength and might and ran as fast as his child legs could carry him.
The night grew darker and darker to the point where it seemed like an endless void.
But this did not stop this new figure from stopping.
Huffing and puffing, he strengethed his grip around Makki and carried him as far as safety was located.
The night was cold, empty and silently scary.
Slowly but steadily, he carried on into the distance further and further away from where Makki was found and faded into the night.
....
Next morning:
Makki slowly opened his eyes to come across what seemed like a roof of a home.
He directed his gaze to the right then left, pondering about his current whereabouts.
"oh, ur finally awake"
Makki looked over to the direction of the voice.
He finnaly witnessed before him the face of the boy who saved him last night.
He was a bit taller than Makki, less boney and had a healthy looking body compared to Makki.
But it was still evident that we was also a child.
His hair was brown, brushed neatly into two curtains.
His eyes ocean blue and face reflecting the good health he possessed, grabbed a chair placing it next to the bed where Makki lay.
He then sat down and asked politely:
"How are you feeling?"
But there was only one question in Makki's mind which now finally relayed to his mouth to mutter:
"wh....er...e.....a..m.....I...?"
"Oh wait, my bad I'm sorry, you shouldn't really be talking right now"
"But to answer your question, you're currently at my house"
"oh yes and I think it would be best if I introduce myself first, my name is Loyd...
