As Alex reached the door, everyone stared. "You're alright?" James said, astonished. Alex looked at him. "Uh, Yeah-"

Everyone made odd movements at the same time. Nathan stared at his shoelaces and noticed they we're untied. James just stared at his feet and rocked backward and forward. Esme just stood there with her ears twitching, and Alex's mom stared at the boring and bland ceiling. Now, Alex noticed that both the spoons James and Nathan were  holding looked like they were covered in a liquidy sort of chocolate pudding. The nurse that was standing with everyone left. Nobody looked up. After a couple more minutes in silence, the other nurse finally spoke. "Well. . ."

       Everyone jumped with fright. They all forgot the nurse was there. "Alex, you need to spend a few more days in the hospital. You inhaled a lot of the smoke from the fire." The nurse said boredly. "Meh, okay." Alex said, picking at her fingernails. The hospital was kind of boring, the food was okay, and you got to hear the cringey sympathy from your friends and family. Alex sighed dramatically. "When will I be able to get out of the hospital miss?" She asked the nurse.

"In about 6 days I'd say," She said. "Also, you can call me Mrs. Lemon."
