Morning, October 2nd.
Damian woke up in his bed and looked out the window. He saw that the campus was smothered in a looming blanket of shadow. “Probably has to do with the crap from yesterday”, he muttered.
Damian stepped out of his dorm room and saw several people walking down the hall. The moment they noticed him, screams of horror, and the sound of quick footsteps filled the hallway. Damian returned to his room, slammed the door shut, and looked in the mirror on his dresser. There was a black skeleton looking back at him.
“Even though that bitch is gone I still have to deal with her crap”. Damian looked at the clock in his room and saw 10am. “I’ll find her later”. Damian threw on a scarf to cover his mouth, a beanie, sunglasses, gloves and a jacket. “There, now no one can see my bones”.
He left his dorm building and made his way over to the coffee shop. He sat down at his usual table and a few moments later Joanna joined him. “You cold or something?”, she said, raising a brow.
Damian rubbed his hands together pretending to be cold. “Some coffee might warm me up”. Joanna stuck a hand in her pocket. “Alright I can take a hint”.
She took a coin out of her pocket. Damian declared heads and Joanna chose tails. She flipped the coin. She muttered a swear after it landed and Damian smirked under his disguise. “Lucky”, said Damian as he leaned back in his chair.
Joanna put her stuff down and smiled at him. “Yeah, for you”. She left to get their coffee and a guy walked by Damian’s table. He was wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans, had short black hair, and black eyes. He had his face buried in his phone, got distracted and bumped into Damian.
“Oh, sorry about that”, said the guy. Damian quickly stood up and knocked his own chair on the floor in the process. “Sorry’s not good enough, Jasper”. The guy’s eyes widened when he saw Damian. “Are you...Oh crap it’s Damian?!”
Damian picked him up by his collar. “You’re really getting on my nerves.” Jasper gave Damian a pleading look. “I said I was sorry man. Can’t you just leave me alone for once?!”
Damian hesitated for a moment. “Just get out of here!”. Damian pushed Jasper away. Jasper smashed his arm into a nearby column and a loud cracking noise echoed through the room, Jasper let loose a wail of pain. Tears began streaming down his face and Joanna rushed over.
She gave Damian an enraged look. “What the hell did you do to him?” Damian looked around the room and saw an ocean of concern and disgust. He took a step towards them. “It’s not that bad…”.
Jasper quickly crawled away from him with fear in his eyes. Joanna hesitated for a moment before turning back to Damian. “You need to leave...Now.”
Damian heard a random student yell something about calling security. He hesitated for a moment before running away.

Morgan woke up next to the garbage cans near the coffee place. A moment of confusion filled her mind as she looked at her unfamiliar surroundings. “I almost forgot where I am...Going off Damian’s reactions I doubt I can get any other humans to help me...I truly am on my own....”
She let the feeling sink in for a moment before looking around once again. This time with an even greater sense of discomfort. She crossed her arms and began walking off into the distance.
After exploring the section of campus she was in for a while, Morgan came across some shades influencing some students inside of a dorm building. They all noticed Morgan getting ready to capture them and surrounded her with torches.
Morgan managed to capture the soul of one while the rest threw their torches at her. She jumped out of a nearby window while getting covered in glass shards, burn marks, and blood. She smacked into a tree branch then landed on a bush.
She groaned as her vision began to blur and a shadowy figure began to approach her. “P-Please...I don’t want to die”, she whispered. The shadowy figure placed a hand on her shoulder as she passed out.

Damian was sitting on the rooftop of his dorm building. He began punching a wall repeatedly and with each punch the wall became more coated in ice. He pictured himself as a child walking by many empty beds at an orphanage, he pictured himself fist bumping Jasper as 6 year olds, he pictured himself trying to fist bump Jasper as 10 year olds, but he walked away with two adults (a man and woman both with matching wedding rings). With each image his punching intensifies. After the last one he punched a hole in the wall.
“Damn asshole ruined everything! He already got everything and couldn’t even leave the scraps for me!”. Damian gave the coffee place an enraged look. “I’ll…!”, he began, but quickly stopped himself. He recalled Joanna telling him to leave.
“I didn’t try to break him...This damn power is hard to control…”. Damian fell back onto the wall and began looking at the sky. “Why am I here…? Why do I exist if no one wanted me around to begin with?”.
White smoke began to radiate from Damian’s body and a shiver went down his spine. He let out a sigh. “I feel dead inside”. Damian saw a ball of fire shot across the sky. “That’s the flaming ghost head!”. He hesitated for a moment before throwing aside his disguise and jumping off of the roof. He chased after it by parkouring off trees and buildings.
Damian’s hunt led to a building labeled, “Health Department”. He entered a hallway and saw a girl crying in the corner of a nearby room filled with medical supplies off to the side. She had pale white skin, a patient’s gown, light blue hair and yellow eyes. Damian continued walking and saw the girl suddenly appear in front of him.
“Oh shit!”, he exclaimed. The girl looked annoyed by him. “You see someone crying, and ignore them?!” Many scalpels suddenly began floating around her. “This is specifically why I ignored you!”, yelled Damian as he broke into a run.
Damian constantly jumped side to side while slamming into the walls in order to avoid being dissected by a scalpel. Things didn’t look too bad until the hallway led to several intersections where he was ambushed by ghost boys and girls. The guys tried to tie him down by manipulating gauze with telekinesis and the girls tried to stab him multiple times with scalpels.
After many narrow escapes and using his white fog ability to act as a smokescreen several times, he managed to get past all of them.
Damian entered a large room with beds and medicine cabinets everywhere along with various hospital equipment. He saw Joanna and a nurse looking down at Jasper in a bed and Morgan in another bed. The nurse had blond hair tied back in a ponytail, blue eyes, a doctor’s lab coat and a surgeon mask that hid the lower half of her face. They both turned their attention towards the entrance and saw no one. Damian was standing on the other side of the door. He looked down at his bony fingers and guilt spread across his face.
The Nurse spoke first. “The sedative should keep them asleep for a while. It’s a shame what happened to these two, but don’t worry I’ll get them back on their feet in no time”. Joanna placed a hand on Jasper’s shoulder before looking up at the Nurse. “Thank you”.
She turned her attention to Morgan. “I can’t believe something so bad could happen to two people on the same day (this is bringing back some things I would rather forget…).”
The nurse gave the patients a confused look. “Realistically this is unlikely, but life can surprise you sometimes. For now you should return to your studies”. Joanna nodded and turned her attention to Jasper one last time. “I’m sorry that you had to suffer (again)”.
Joanna walked out of the room, but she didn’t notice Damian standing off to the side, hiding behind the door. Damian watched her leave and reached out a hand to her, but pulled it back when white mist began radiating from it. He sat back against the door and hugged himself as frost spread out from his body covering the little corner he was in.
The nurse stepped away from her patients and went into another room. A shadowy figure appeared near the two beds and grabbed Jasper.

Jasper woke up in a laboratory filled with cages containing various types of ghosts, and shelves filled with books along with some test tubes. He saw a man standing in front of him with a hunched back, lab coat, messy long black hair, and glasses.
The man smiled at Jasper. “Hello, you’re probably wondering where you are right now. This is the lab of Dr.Frankenstein who is me.”
“This is a dream?”, said Jasper in a daze. Dr. Frankenstein shook his head. “No, this is actually where your story begins. You see I am a lover of stories, and once I noticed you in the nurse's office I saw an opportunity to write a glorious tale!”
“Wha?”, said Jasper, still coming out of his daze. Dr. Frankenstein began to walk around Jasper’s bed. “You will obtain power and become magnificent, but first I need to make your character. Power is one thing, but your perception and drive is another.”
Jasper gave him a bewildered look. “What kind of drugs did the nurse give me?” Dr. Frankenstein took out a scalpel and stabbed it into Jasper’s broken arm. He let loose a pain filled scream as a drop of blood landed on the floor. “What the hell are you doing?!”
Dr. Frankenstein gave him an amused smile, like he just thought of a good idea. “I thought it would be interesting for you to have phantom pains. Now, hold still!” He stabbed him again and blood splattered on the floor.

Morgan woke up in the nurse's office bandaged up. She noticed a purple see-through skeleton without a lower half floating in the air on the other side of the room. She crawled out of her bed and collapsed on the floor.
She groaned as she tried to crawl across the ground to gain some distance. She held up her hand and a crystal ball appeared in it. “Record...Message…[coughing]”, she said, struggling to get the words out.
“This is...Morgan...HeKatherine...Irene...I took your place...By mistake…If I knew...This would...Happen to you...I would’ve...taken your place...Anyway...Cause that’s...All I’m...good for…”.
Tears began going down her face and her heart began beating loudly. Damian opened the door and saw Morgan on the floor. “Hel…”. She couldn’t get the word to escape her throat and started coughing. Damian slung her on his shoulder. “Can’t...stay…Wraith”, she managed to force out.
Damian nodded and broke into a run. He sprinted at full speed in a massive white cloud of mist. He charged past all of the previous dangers while parkouring off of the walls several times and almost getting the two of them stabbed.
Damian burst out of the building and saw the full moon in the sky. “I was...out...almost...a day?”, choked out Morgan in surprise. Damian looked annoyed. “Either say something useful or shut up and nap”. Damian noticed Joanna nearby, staring at them in horror. She turned pale and took a nervous step back. The wraith appeared behind Joanna and went into her body.
“No!”, cried out Damian. Joanna felt her own face, smiled and threw her head back. “At last! I’m free! I have a body again!”. Damian put Morgan on the floor and began marching up to Joanna. White fog began gushing out of his body. “Get out right now!”.
Joanna smiled at him. “You’ll have to catch me first!”. Joanna flew into the air and shot off like a rocket.
Damian ran over to a nearby tree and jumped up to the top using the branches for footholds. White fog gathered around his fists in a spiraling motion then fired out and propelled him through the air.
He shot through the air and ended up several feet above Joanna. She turned her attention to him and fired out several purple spheres of ectoplasmic energy. Damian countered by firing several beams of white fog. The collisons created purple explosions in the air.
She smirked at him and made a chain appear in her hands. She quickly spun around once, threw the chain and wrapped one end of it around Damian. While he struggled to break free she started gaining momentum.
“Here comes the best part!”, she shouted. She spun him around once and threw him high up into the air. She suddenly faded away.
“Get back here!”, shouted Damian getting more frustrated by the minute. She suddenly appeared face to face with him. Damian’s eyes got wide as she wrapped him up in a hug. They suddenly flipped upside down and began plummeting towards the ground.
“Goodbye.”, she whispered as she released him. “Quit screwing around!”, he shouted as white fog burst out of his body and shattered the chain. He fired continuous beams of white mist to slow down his fall.
Damian and Joanna both safely landed on the ground. Onna made an entrance by jumping off of a nearby building and landing next to Joanna. “Crossbones, how are you on this fine day?”
“I’m gonna break your skull!” yelled Damian as his blood began to boil. Joanna looked annoyed. “Watch your tongue! That is the queen of the underworld!”.
Onna smiled. “Now, now my pet. No need to get so defensive”. Joanna gave Onna a guilty look. “My apologies”.
Damian lunged at them and tried to punch Onna, but she caught his fist. A massive burst of white mist exploded out of his fist. She didn’t even flinch, but instead looked amused.
“If you want to see the girl again then be drawn to the flames like a moth on October 5th at night. I shall look forward to the continuation of your story”.
Onna and Joanna faded away in the fog that Damian had created. Damian looked defeated and fell to his knees. Snow began to rain down around him.
“Get back here!”, he hopelessly cried out.
