Heirra arrived at the condominium and spotted the four officers blending in the crowds. They weren't wearing their uniforms since Heirra ordered them not to. Wearing uniforms may hinder their job today. After an hour, seeing that there might not be a threat today, Heirra went to the convenience store to buy milk. She suddenly bumped into someone, and that someone was actually Grace.
"Fancy seeing you here Heirra."
"Want me to help you carry those." Heirra offered.
Grace gave one of the plastic bags to Heirra.
"Mind telling what you are doing? I also saw Darwen on my way here."
"We are patrolling just in case something happens."
Just as they were crossing the street, the streetlight turned red. Heirra and Grace were at the front. Suddenly, someone pushed Grace. As Grace stumbled almost falling, the cars were already driving fast and getting nearer. Luckily, Heirra has quick reflexes and pulls Grace towards her. The culprit suddenly left quickly just as Heirra was about to follow the culprit, but with Grace being so frightened that her legs gave away. She informs the other three officers on patrol to check the CCTV, and trace the culprit. Heirra supported Grace until they reached Darwen's condominium.
"What happened?" unexpectedly the worried voice came from Chrisia.
So she can be this thoughtful too huh? Heirra thought.
"Someone tried to kill her by causing a car accident. Luckily, I was there with her." Heirra answered.
"Can you place her on the sofa? " Jenny asked.
Heirra proceeds to the sofa while carrying Grace and the food Grace had bought.
"Thank you. Sorry for the trouble. I just can't believe it." Grace said softly.
"Be careful. Next time don't leave without an officer around. They'll be more cautious for now. Besides, they won't try anything to an officer's home. It's best to stay in either of our home if the officers aren't around."
The four noded. Understanding that it's for their safety.
"By the way, we found out that the culprit would most-likely strike during weekends so be careful. They won't strike inside the company anymore since the police are already involved. We also suspect that someone with a high position whom the CEO can't touch may be the culprit or at least involved in this case." Heirra explained, causing the four to be shocked but unlike the three, Heirr saw one who wasn't as shocked as the others.

Heirra was outside on the terrace while the others were watching a movie. Grace seems to have recovered; moreover, Darwen informed Heirra that the culprit had been locked in a prison cell, but was unwilling to say anything unless the captain or the person in charge of the investigation was the one to interrogate her since it was already almost evening, Heirra decided to interrogate the person tomorrow. The rest of the officers were on their way here. Heirra's mind had been out of this world.
"Hi." someone said to Heirra.
It seems you decided to talk to me huh. Heirra thought.
"Hey yourself, princess. Mind telling me why you weren't as shocked as the others?" Heirra said.
It seems Chrisia knows something. Don't tell me that.
"You have been collecting information haven't you?" Heirra asked, her face saddened.
"I am. I noticed a pattern although I didn't tell the others. I was afraid that they'd freak out."
"Since when?"
"Even before the victim died."
Heirra was surprised by what Chrisia said.
What does she mean by even before? We never received reports about this kind of incident.
"What do you mean by that? Does that mean that you guys were targeted since before?
Doesn't that mean that this is well-planned out?"
Chrisia nodded.
"There have been many accidents, to tell you the truth. The others might not have noticed. The ones before were more harmless compared to what happened to Grace and I. Actually there's a pattern. Those incidents only happen once a week; however, unlike last week and today, all of us was the victim."
Heirra was all ears for this matter. She wondered why Chrisia never said anything about those incidents before.
"I believe that Jen might be the next target for next week or maybe even tomorrow."
"Can you explain? Wait, before that, let's have a meeting. Let's wait for the other officers. I'm sure they're almost here."
Chrisia nodded and followed Heirra back to the living room. A minute later, Darwen and the others have arrived. They explained what happened to the culprit to the other four. This made Grace feel at ease.
"Let's gather everyone. Chrisia and I have something to say." Heirra said.
"What? Are you guys dating now?" Darwen said.
"You beat us into it," Jenny said, feeling disappointed.
Trying to compose herself, Heirra glared at Darwen and Jenny.
"Let's be serious. As we all have known, the incident with Grace."
"Sorry for keeping quiet but I've been theorizing that there may have been a pattern,"
"A pattern?" Grace asked.
"Yes, a pattern. I've noticed that these accidents have been happening even since Mark was alive. Remember a month before he died? Grace, you were spilled hot coffee by one of the interns who suddenly quit after a few days. Jenny, one of your files was suddenly deleted. Gwenny, you suddenly tripped. You were sure someone bumped into you but saw none and many more. Do you remember that those incidents happened to us all only once a week altogether?"
"Now that you mentioned it."
"I remember."
"Oh my gosh, I never did pay any mind to those."
Grace, Gweeny, and Jenny said respectively.
"I believe that we have been targeted since before, but last week's and today's were much more dangerous than before. Also, we were only targeted individually." Chrisia continued.
"One more thing. The pattern of the execution of the attacks is Chrisia, Grace, Jenny, and lastly Gwenny. All according to the closeness we have to the victim."
Everyone was surprised and shocked, even Heirra.
It's amazing how she can see through these.
"How can you be sure Chrisia?" Blake asked.
"I mean so far, the pattern is correct." Darwen said.
"I figured it out a while ago after Grace came back with Heirra. Then, I remembered that I was the first one targeted. I didn't think too deep into it, but I suddenly remembered that I was the closest to Mark, and that's why Heirra was assigned to me. This means out of all of us, I am their main target. Also, since Grace was the second targeted as well as the second closest to Mark. It made sense."
"I'd like to add that it might be difficult for them to be alone outside during weekends without an officer accompanying them. Officers in charge, always be with your partner alright?"
The other officers answered yes. As for the four 'suspects', they understood that their situation is getting dangerous already.
"Since it's late we'll be leaving already." Chrisia said while pulling the arm of Heirra towards the door.
"I'll see the officers tomorrow. Girls don't leave the condo tomorrow alright?" Heirra shouted while being dragged.
Unknown to those two who were already inside the elevator. The others were gossiping about them.
"Looks like Heirra has a thing for Chrisia huh?" Darwen said.
"We can't say any for Chrisia's side though." Jenny replied.
"Yeah. She's really hard to read especially when involving love." Grace added.
" So, when are you going to ask me out?" Jenny asked Darwen while hugging one of his arms, causing him to blush.
Heirra and Chrisia decided to have dinner at a noodle house near Heirra's place. After dinner, they went back to the condominium and did some chores. At ten in the evening, Chrisia was already sleepy so is Heirra. They went to bed early; however, at two in the morning, Heirra heard a loud shout coming from Chrisia's room.
"Chris, you alright?"
"I had a nightmare."
"I see. It's alright. I'm here."
"Can you sleep with me?"
How can she be so cute???! There's no way I can refuse that can I? Heirra thought.
"Alright," Heirra answered.
Heirra slept beside Chrisia while hugging her.
"You don't have to hug me."
"Don't worry. With this, you fall asleep in no time."
"Thank you."
As Heirra said, Chrisia fell asleep right away. However, Heirra was unable to sleep in return. She was blushing red as a tomato. Since they were facing face-to-face, Heirra really did try her hardest not to kiss Chrisia only to fail. She gave in to her desire and gave a kiss on Chrisia's forehead. In return, Chrisia while asleep smiled. It may seem that she was having a good dream.
How can I stop myself from doing all those things when your reaction is like that???!
Oh yeah. I wonder what will happen to our bet. Heirra's last thought before she herself also fell into a deep sleep.
