Sahar is in shock. She couldn’t believe what she just heard.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT’S GONE!”

Amani responds in tears. “I bW aNT BW Ind iT!”

“Tch, those muscle heads must’ve taken advantage of the chaos and took your fedora.”

Mick is running with a bunch of the other members of his dojo.

‘One second things are exploding, and the next I have a hat of money in my hands!’

Angel is also running from the explosion site. He has a pouch in his hand

“Maybe I was a bit too generous, I should’ve given Mick a smaller cut.”

Angel observes the building that he was admiring not even an hour ago get burnt down by the fire. He decides to head towards Arbie’s shop to retrieve his and Ren’s bags.

Angel arrives at Arbie’s place which had also been engulfed in flames. He notices Arbie off to the side carrying buckets of water back and forth from a nearby well to put out the fire. He runs up to Arbie and asks him for a bucket. Skeptical, Arbie hands him the bucket, but to his dismay, Angel dumps the bucket unto himself and runs into the burning building. He retrieves the bags from the second floor and leaps from the window. Arbie was upset that Angel broke his windows but was too busy worrying about stopping the building from burning down to address it. Angel turns to Arbie.

“Where are Akira and Rashid?”

“Oh those fools? Those kids are crazy if they want to fight demons that can cause instant fires.”

This makes Angel stop to think; could the demons always create fires? He thought that they were very discreet about their kidnappings, in fact, nobody has vanished. The town was just as packed as before, something wasn’t right. This may have been done by something else. Angel wishes Arbie luck in putting out the fire and heads towards the inn. On his way he ponders on what’s going on.

‘Who started this fire?’

Akira and Rashid are wandering through the burning town looking for the demons. Akira is confused since he never heard anything about them having fire based abilities. He makes an attempt to sound heroic and claims that he will stop the villainy at hand. He begins to run but is soon shut down by Rashid.

“Where are you running master?”

“To save these townspeople from the demons terrorizing this place! [Though I didn’t expect them to do this on our first night here.]”

“But master, nobody has disappeared, nobody is on fire, and there is no sight of the skull creatures those mercenaries talked about in the bar.”

Akira stops in his tracks and looks around. Everything that Rashid said was true.

“What’s going on right now?”

Amani continues to panic about the money while Sahar tries to assess the situation. Suddenly, Sahar feels an otherworldly aura coming from the direction of the explosion site.

“Amani, we’ve got company!”

The girls start to see the shadow of a horned figure approach them from behind the fire. They ready their guard.
