"Welcome to the team Scott" Graham said, patting me on the back. 

"Glad to be here!" I excitedly replied.

"Now, I want you to know Scott, you're a cop. There's a certain level of dedication you need to have if you want to do this job. Sometimes you will have to make sacrifices, just remember. If a time ever comes where it's you or innocent civilians. Put the people first, no matter what".

"I understand, don't worry. I know what it means to be a cop. My father was one and he taught me a lot" I replied. "I see, anyway. Welcome again, and good luck". 

Present day:

I gripped the power supply as hard as I could, and I got ready to pull it out. But as I was about to do so, memories just came flowing back in my head all at once. 

Memories of being on the force, with Liam, and everything else I ever did. It was like watching a movie about myself, all in the matter of milliseconds. 

"Scott!" I heard Liam yell. 

I looked over to see he was on his feet, and he was staring right at me. Without doing anything else, he nodded. And I nodded back before a smile formed. That was because I knew what those nods were, they meant a lot. It was us saying thank you, goodbye and good luck.
