Severalian strode softly several steps before coming to an abrupt halt. A ship was landing near him and he was intent upon it. Scores of other bounty hunters had come for him, but none had been successful. The bounty hunters' ship was not a cheap hunk of scrap, rather it was an interstellar warship capable of carrying a small crew through wormholes, to a planet's surface, and then back again. The men on the ship would be a potentially rough batch to handle, but if he could eliminate them all he would have their ship. As several Bounty Hunters stepped down from their ship, Severalian activated his power suit. With precious little energy left, metal molded over his skin and plasma energy hummed as the suit covered his body. The Bounty Hunters noticed him and opened fire with armor piercing railguns. Bolts projectiles sped through the air at near sonic speed. However, Severalian was moving too fast and they could not get a weapon's lock on him. Severalian on the other hand activated his weaponry and beams of energy speared two men through the heart. The living Hunters disregarded their ashen brethren as they continued their relentless assault. Severalian could not avoid the projectiles as they rained upon him. A bolt struck his armor in the faceplate and completely shattered his helmet, with pieces of metal stuck in various areas of his face, Severalian made a reckless decision. He activated his suit's energy surge protocol. This weapon program completely drained the suit of all power, but targeted and eliminated each opponent in a flash of light. As the Bounty Hunters fell to the ground in piles of ash, Severalian lost all control of the suit and fell like a rock. Severalian ungracefully impacted the ground in a heap. Several pieces of his armor shattered upon impact causing even more injuries on various areas of his body. Severalian picked himself off the ground slowly, as the adrenaline from the battle still coursed through his body. However, when Severalian stood up, his knees buckled and he fell flat on the gravel, even further lacerating his face. After painstakingly discarding his troublesome power armor, Severalian picked up a corpse's rail gun and entered the ship. As he walked into the ship, the ramp rose and shut thereby sealing him in the ship. After carefully approaching the deck, Severalian activated the control panel. A voice resonated from the ship and it said "you are not welcome here intruder, prepare to be terminated"
Without waiting for further invitation Severalian blasted the panel with his railgun. Fire spurted from the explosion, completely consumed the terminal. The projectile had passed through the control panel and buried itself harmlessly into the deck. Severalian would have to manually fly the ship, but he knew how. Despite his injuries, Severalian quickly routed a course and blasted off from the planet he'd been stranded on. As Severalian's newly acquired ship hurtled through the vacuum of space towards a predetermined location, he applied regenerative agents and injected a stim pack into his arm. Regardless of his slowly healing injuries, he remained conscious.
