Enjo was in his planning Room, trying to come up with a plan to make quite a bit more money, but he couldn’t seem to concentrate...something was distracting him, and he couldn’t tell what. He figured he was stressed and decided to take a walk around the base. Everyone had gone Home by now, except for him and Gomu, as Gomu didn’t really have a Home, and Enjo barely ever went to his apartment. Gomu was sitting on the Couch, playing around with her powers. She had stretched out her index finger and was twirling it around like a jump rope. Seemed...entertaining. Enjo looked at her for a second then went to the Kitchen. He couldn’t help but realise he felt a bit Nervous when around her, as if a lot of pressure was building in his chest. He then realized something...he might have more feelings for Gomu than he originally thought. He decided he needed to try something...something drastic. Something so crazy it just MIGHT work!
“...Hey Gomu?” Enjo said.
“Hm?” She responded, turning to him. “Yeah?”
“...Wanna go out on a walk for the Night?” Enjo asked, hoping Gomu was still too oblivious to realise he’s asking her out on a date.
“Yeah sure!” She responded, getting up. Score.
After they got ready, they headed away from the Dock, making sure to lock the base up, and went for a stroll around Tokyo. Gomu clung to him the entire time. Enjo had kind of forgotten that Gomu hadn’t seen much of the outside world, and what she had seen wasn’t enjoyable. As they were walking, they passed by a group of Yakuza thugs. They started to approach, but Enjo just turned and glared at them and they backed off. The flames appearing on his hair helped. They kept walking around.
“S-so...what’re we gonna do?” Gomu asked, all but hugging Enjo’s arm.
“Hm. We could go to Narisawa.” Enjo said.
Enjo knew that Narisawa was the most expensive Restaurant in Tokyo, but he didn’t mind. Thanks to the support from the Kaminokaze Family, they have more than enough money. They stopped by the restaurant and had a nice meal. Teppanyaki, Okonomiyaki, Yakiniku, Yakitori, they had plenty to eat. Enjo was silently kind of jealous that Gomu’s power let her eat all she wanted. She could transfer fat throughout her body, or completely reduce it all together. Plus she can increase the size of her stomach if she needed to. She could eat endlessly and not have to worry about a single health risk. Enjo paid the, admittedly massive, tab, and they went on a walk through the Shinjuku Gyoen National Park.
“Hmm...you having fun so far, Gomu?” Enjo asked.
“Yeah but…” Gomu thought for a second. “I wonder what the City would look like from above...oh! I have an idea!”
Gomu focused hard and tried to grow wings from her back. It...didn’t work too well. She made the wings but had no idea how to fly.
“...I’ll get you a book.” Enjo said, and lifted her bridal style. “Let’s try my idea.”
Enjo shot flames from his feet, rocketing himself into the air. Once they were high up enough, he used his flames to make them hover over to a nearby building. As they sat on the ledge, looking over Tokyo, they felt very peaceful together. Gomu glanced at Enjo.
“...Hey...what do you look like under your Mask?” Gomu asked, curiously. “I wanna see…”
“...Well…” Enjo was hesitant. “Fine...but don’t laugh.”
Enjo grabbed his Mask, pulling it down. His mouth looked normal but...a few seconds after it was removed, he started to grin widely. It was...kinda creepy. It shocked Gomu a little bit seeing it.
“W-woah...are you...doing that on purpose?” Gomu asked.
“No.” Enjo responded, putting his mask back on. “It’s a condition. I despise it, that’s why I hide it.”
“W-well...I don’t think it’s that bad…” Gomu said, trying to comfort him. “I mean, I could do THIS-”
Gomu grabbed her cheeks and stretched her mouth out, making a grin that literally went above her ears.
“PFT-” Enjo snorted, having to turn away to keep himself from laughing. “Jesus christ-”
Gomu snickered a bit, letting her mouth return to normal.
“I guess...we can both be weirdos!” Gomu said. “I mean how many people could relate to the stuff WE’VE seen.”
“You’d be surprised.” Enjo responded. “I heard about this kid named BANCHO. who-”
Enjo suddenly sensed something behind them and grabbed Gomu, using his flames to rocket out of the way. Kona Tetsu was there, with Iron Dust surrounding her.
“Th-that’s the weird Yakuza Girl I saw the other day!” Gomu exclaimed, forming iron-like armour around her hands.”
“My offer is no longer optional.” Kona stated, aiming her hand at them. “You are coming with me.”
Enjo prepared a fire attack, but he noticed the Iron Dust was slowly starting to move...and the metal around her was starting to bend as well…
“GOMU” Enjo exclaimed. “GLIDE!”
“HUH-” Gomu started to question him.
Enjo pushed her over the edge of the building as Iron ball bearings flew at them. Enjo was hit in the torso, legs, and arms, with the bearings punching holes into his body. As Gomu fell she panicked, not knowing what to do, when a flying squirrel fell past her.
“OH GOD I’M GONNA DIE NEXT TO A-” Gomu started to say, when she saw the squirrel glide. “Oh hey, that gives me an idea!”
Gomu copied the squirrel, making nets between her arms and legs to safely glide down to the building below her. She heard a loud explosion and looked back up to see a large blast of flames. She quickly made large air jets from her back that sucked in large amounts of air and rocketed her up to the building. When she got onto the roof, Kona and Enjo were nowhere to be found...just scorched air. She saw something on the ground...it was a piece of paper with a symbol on it. A Pink Rose. The same that was on the card Kona had given her before. Gomu fell over, initially devastated. Her sorrow was then quickly replaced by a new emotion...one she hadn’t felt before...it was not anger...not rage...no. This...was BLOODLUST. She quickly sent a text to the other members, explaining what happened. She then compressed her legs and leaped into the sky. She was going to get Enjo back, hell or high water.
