A heartbreaking sound crossed the heavy silence of the forest, the birds settled comfortably in their nest flew away thus breaking the blue of the sky now dotted with black spots disappearing on the horizon. Moans of pain and the sounds of blows echoed in the depths of the woods. The animals hastily escaped their resting place, the anger that filled the surroundings was such that a sane person really wouldn't want to go to this place. Unfortunately, it wasn't my case. I had always been a kinda stupid person and confronting myself with this kind of situation filled me with excitement despite the fact that fear was gradually taking hold of me.
I was running toward the old building to prevent a tragedy from occurring. I had transformed myself again after going quickly at home to put on some old clothes so I didn't find myself naked in front of the strong pack of males. I zigzagged between the trees, taking every path that could bring me as fast as possible to the wooden house. Anxiety was gradually rising in me. I had to protect the young wolf from the anger of my Alpha. It was my duty whether to my wolf consciousness or to the pack of Andy.
I abruptly stopped not to be crushed. A ball of gray hair landed a few steps ahead of me, letting out a squeak of pain by violently touching the ground. I immediately recognized the smell of my old family on his coat. The young wolf had raised a cloud of dust by touching the ground on his left side. I approached calmly, my head down so as not to attract the anger of my leader who might have thought that I wanted to join the fight. The speed of my walk was reflected despite the roar of the beast desperately trying to get up. My heart sank, he didn't trust me. It was logical after all but I couldn't help but feel, once again, this knife sink a little deeper into my heart.
I shoot my head feeling the tension and apprehension take place into the air. I turned my gaze to the old house where the wolves of Raven's pack were swaying on each foot as if they were anxious. Their eyes were turned toward a massive animal with ebony hair, the latter was advancing toward us, his eyes mad and filled with anger. I could see in his eyes that he hadn't noticed me yet, too busy with his new toy. Without thinking, I placed myself between my Alpha and the young werewolf.
I couldn't repress this moment of panic that grew into my blue eyes when the red blood of his eyes was fixed on me. I could see what I had hoped not to see, the anger and the madness had just been replaced by hatred and a desire for dominance worthy of a pack leader. I was in front of Brooke, I could feel that he stared at me without understanding my gesture. Raven growled, opening his mouth and letting me admire his huge fangs from which some tears of blood dripped. My heart pressed into my chest, the target had changed. He preferred to attack me, after all, I was the one who provoked everything by disobeying his orders.
My throat was dry, I finally realized how much my Alpha scared me. I never felt that when I was near Andy, it was scary. I didn't move, my human consciousness was completely paralyzed. No sound came out of my mouth, I followed each of his movements carefully, feeling my wolf rebel in the back of my mind. I, then, made the decision to give him the necessary place to inspire me with his natural courage. I finally felt it, his strength pouring into my veins, a burst of heat overwhelmed me, leaving me trembling in front of the black wolf.
"I want to take Brooke. I'll be more reassured to see him safe at home than here with you and your guard dogs..." I said, casting a disdainful look to the wolves before crossing again the eyes of my Alpha. "You shouldn't touch him, Raven."
My last sentence sounded like a warning in the ears of my pack leader. The latter threw himself on me without any hesitation. He was the dominant and he was planning to make me understand it for once and for all. With an agile gesture, I avoided his mass that was going to fall on my frail body. I was right next to him, with a quick movement he sent me to the ground with a powerful blow. My skin was covered with dust, my nails had been replaced by sharp claws, ready to sink into the flesh of my Alpha.
I straightened myself with agility before a snap rose to my ears, the fangs of Raven had closed into the void a few inches from my neck. He had just been thrown to the ground by Brooke who was now standing right in front of me. He has just avoided me a severe and heavy punishment as a result. A loud sound echoed throughout the clearing and I turned my eyes to the location of this sound, quickly imitated by the young wolf. The rest of the pack was approaching, all part of humanity was gone, only remained the threat they were releasing.
The wolves had refrained from intervening, knowing perfectly well that seeing me fighting with the leader was a normal event but the moment Brooke sent him into the mud, they made the unanimous decision to stop this little game. From now on, their huge paws landed on the ground, the grunts that escaped their throats were meant for Andy's wolf who was trying to keep my Alpha on the ground by putting both legs on his shoulders. I was almost certain to hear a chuckle escape from Raven's mouth.
My eyes went again toward the little troop that was heading toward the pack leader, without worrying about me. My appearance prevented them from attacking me, they could hurt me and accidentally kill me as the black beast had tried a few moments earlier. If the young werewolf hadn't intervened, I wouldn't have got up. Without thinking, I posted myself between Brooke and the pack. Dean and the others stopped, staring at me and observing a dot behind my shoulder.
A cry of surprise escaped my mouth as Castiel sent me on the ground, right into the mud. His sharp claws were brutally stuck in my skin, causing me a surge of adrenaline. My muscles contracted, my breath became faster, my body was giving me the impression of being in a fire. A squeak of pain escaped my lips as the bones of my skeleton began to bend. The suffering that enveloped me was more intense than all of my other transformations so far.
I was still wondering how I was able to survive such a hell. The wind blew on my flesh, still not covered with hairs yet. My throat burned while hairs began to appear on the surface of my body. I twisted in all directions to try to minimize the effects of my mutation. I could feel each of my nerves sending distress signals to my brain because of that excess of sensations. My heart was beating wildly, my blurred vision was becoming clearer as I gently tried to straighten myself by trying to stand on my four snow white paws. I staggered, panting and feeling totally lost. Once fully straightened, I noticed that all the heads were facing me, a worried look on most of their face.
"Ethan, are you sure you're ok?" Dean asked in a nervous voice.
"Are you having trouble transforming yourself?" Sam asked, moving his feet nervously.
"It's the full moon?" Asked Castiel. "Keep your pain for yourself when you transform. We don't need to share it with you." He quickly added.
A growl escaped my throat against the sentence of the last wolf. If I had changed, it was because he had sent me to the ground with violence. As I slowly started to feel better, the three wolves jumped on each other to disagree on the point of view of my suffering. I shook my head before hearing a deep groan from my left. Brooke's body fell into the mud as the black wolf approached me, no more anger or hate into his red eyes.
His calm made me nervous but I didn't move despite my furious desire to step back. I stared into his eyes who stared at me intensely as he circled me, grazing my white fur with his black coat. A shiver ran through my spine as I repressed the desire to get closer to him. My eyes then focused on the gray ball of hair that was desperately trying to get up. Unfortunately, the three males who had stopped fighting where keeping him on the ground. They turned their heads to our direction as if something was going to happen. During this second of inattention, my body was suddenly swung into the dust. Strong fangs had squeezed into the flesh of my neck to maintain a secure grip. Sharp teeth slipped away from my skin, soothing the old pain that had returned fully.
My growl and my desire to get up used the little patience left of my Alpha. One of his paws came to rest on my shoulder to keep me quiet for a few seconds. My pack leader then grabbed my mouth in his, his teeth scraped the skin of my snout, making me tremble with rage. He forced me to remain motionless and, at the same time, he made me submit to him by force. My pride had just taken a blow, my mind rebelled as my body was trying to get up from against the ground.
Seeing my reaction to his gesture, Raven took a step back to leave me a little room to get up. That was what I did after repressing the feelings that had assaulted me. My wolf had taken control of my body, he stubbornly kept his eyes downcast and his head was looking at the ground. I could feel the insistent gaze of the black wolf on me as well as his very badly hidden anger.
"Didn't I order you not to go back to class just to avoid this kind of problem?" Asked the Alpha, turning his head toward the prisoner. "You don't even imagine how big my anger was when Castiel came back to tell me that you had disobeyed a direct order..."
I didn't answer, knowing full well that he wasn't expecting any answer from me and that he hadn't finished speaking yet. My muscles were tense and I could feel the need that my wolf had to come closer to the ebony fur of the dominant male. On the other hand, I was dying to make him bite the dust, especially to the one who denounced me. I hated Castiel so much, if I could I would have killed him a long time ago but I feared the anger of the Alpha if that ever happened.
"But I still have to congratulate you. If you hadn't been, I wouldn't have had the chance to have a member of his pack right in front of me. I'll be able to take care of his wolf and question him for more information..." Said Raven, staring at Brooke then turning to me once again. "I will decide your fate later. I don't have time to dwell on your behavior for the moment."
He turned his body away from mine and walked toward the young werewolf that was still stuck to the ground. He was watching me anxiously, trying to find out if I was going to help him or if I was going to accept the actions of my boss. A pool of blood began to form around the injured male. At that moment, a ferocious battle ensued between the spirit of my wolf and mine. He didn't want to give me the place, being afraid of the consequences I was going to get because of my actions. I knew how to get what I wanted and it was my inner animal that capitulated first under the force of my determination.
I did a small jump in front of me, ignoring the lacerating pain in my neck. I ran alongside Raven, rubbing me to him to finally stop myself at his side. The latter had stopped at the very moment my fur had rubbed against his. He turned his head toward me, wanting to know what had happened so that my resentment would fall so low.
"Let me take care of the questioning.." I started saying, lowering my nose to the ground.
"No..I will take care of it myself."
"He needs some care and he won't talk to you. You are thick brutes and I know he won't talk to people like that." I replied, annoyed at his immediate refusal. "He will trust me more easily than you, so your chances of discovering the secrets of Andy will be higher..."
"What do you have in mind to make such requests?" Questioned the black wolf, staring at me intently. "Don't try to deceive me, little wolf. You could lose a lot..."
"I don't see where you are coming from. I don't intent to deceive you." I said, pretending to be offended. "I just want the truth to come out to allow you to get what you want."
"If I wanted to know the truth, I would have forced you to reveal everything to me." Raven said.
"You know as well as I do that I wouldn't have dropped a single piece of information."
He stared at me with his eyes similar to the color of the underworld. I had the impression that his eyes pierced me from side to side, seeking every flaw. He found nothing as I remained impassive. I had no bad intentions in my mind, after all. My eyes were on the wolf, assaulted by the weight of his assailants and in pain because of the wounds Raven had inflicted on him. A barely audible growl rose in the air, causing the wolves holding the prisoner to jump in surprise, full of incomprehension and not understanding the situation. They parted while I started to walk toward the wounded wolf.
Castiel growled when my nose landed on Brooke's shoulder, asking him to get up. I turned my head toward him, replying with an even greater intensity than his. The wolf showed his fangs before stepping back at Raven's insistence as he was glaring at him. The wounded wolf straightened up hard while I pressed against his fur, trying to help him stay on his feet.
"Sam, Castiel... Go with them to his house." Raven ordered.
"No way. You know for a fact that I refuse to let anyone know where I live." I snapped. "I would be furious to know that one of your subordinate pups came to see me in the middle of the night."
"I wouldn't want you to let him escape." Added my Alpha. "And I must be aware of all the places that my wolves frequent because you all belong to me."
"I don't consider myself a thing that belongs to you. I don't belong to anyone, neither to you nor to Andy nor to anyone..." I said, starting to lead the teenager. "If he escape, you will be allowed to kill me."
"I already have the right. I have the right to life and death on you..." Said the black dominant by lowering the sound of his voice, making it even more impressive. "If you're still alive it's just because I need you for a specific job..."
His words made me suspicious, stirring up a growing doubt in me. He wanted to kill me? While he had used so much effort to bring me into his pack? I didn't understand where he was coming from and I had other concerns that were more urgent to manage. The pain in my neck had resurfaced, leaving me with difficulties to move my neck. Brooke was limping a lot, his body was sore and he was trying to hide the seriousness of his injuries. He didn't look at me and he just kept his eyes down to the ground.
The young wolf was bleeding but I couldn't do anything until I got back to my place. The cuts and deep scratches began to heal but I still had to deal with the most serious bruises. During our walk, my attention was particularly focused on the surrounding sounds, I wanted to make sure that no one followed us. Our progress was slow but we finally managed to reach my place. As a precaution, I always left the door open, for cases similar to this one. I had no valuables and, if a thief broke into my place, I would have no problem finding that person.
