Chapter 15: Road Trip (Part 3)

Jayen sent me a text, “Embutido for me, Chicken Barbeque For Trixie, two Ground Prok Menudo for Analyn And Abel, Filipino-Style Beef Steak with Onion and Bay Leaves for Calix, And 10 Extra rice for all of us.”

“10 extra rice?” I asked.

“Yes, 10.” Jayen replied.

“Can you eat all of the rice?” I texted.

“Of course we can.”

“If you say so.”

I line up in the Order section to order, While waiting in the line Jayen Tested me. “We forgot to order dessert: Mais con Yelo for me, Leche Flan for Trixie, Halo-halo for Analyn, Buko pandan salad for Abel and Turon for Calix. The Mais con Yelo, Halo-halo, and  Buko pandan salad are large.” He texted.

“Okay.” I texted

The man infront of me leave, “Next please.” A lady wearing a restaurant uniform said.

“Two order of Embutido, One Chicken Barbeque, Two order of Ground Prok Menudo, One Filipino-Style Beef Steak with Onion Bay Leaves for Calix, Two Order Shrimp in Achiote Oil, 10 Extra rice, and in deserts, One Mais con Yelo, One Leche Flan, One Halo-halo, One Buko pandan salad, Two order of Turon. The Mais con Yelo, Halo-halo, and  Buko pandan salad are large.” I ordered.

“Let me Repeat sir, Two Order of Embutido, One Chicken Barbeque, Two order of Ground Prok Menudo, One Filipino-Style Beef Steak with Onion Bay Leaves for Calix, Two Shrimp in Achiote Oil, 10 Extra rice, and in deserts, , One Leche Flan, One Halo-halo, One Buko pandan salad, Two order of Turon. The Mais con Yelo, Halo-halo, and  Buko pandan salad are large” She repeated.

“You Forgot the Mais con Yelo.” I corrected her.

“Apology sir.” She apologize, typing on the computer. “ Your total is 845 pesos.”

I get my wallet in my pocket and I get a 1000 peso-bill and give it to her.

“Is this your reciept,  please wait on the waiting corner.” Pointing on the left corner of the restaurant.

I go to the Waiting Corner and sit, while waiting I get my earphone on my pocket and listen to music.

Listening to music two girls like in their twenty’s in a casual clothes approach me.

“Hi.” The first girl said with a Softly Spoken voice.

“Huh?” Titling my head, I remove the right earphone.

“Can we get your number?” The second girl said with a honeyed voice

“hmmm... Of course.” I replied.

They Give their phone and I put Jayen’s number, “It’s that Okay.”

“Last thing, may I get your name.” The First girl said.

“You first, what's your name.” I said, staring at the girl.

“Alex.” She said, flustered

“You?” Looking at the second girl.

“Mauricio.” The dark-skinned girl said, looking away to hide that hers blushing.

I saw the waiter waving at me.

“Luca, if you need anything just text me, later Alex and Maurico, sorry My food is here..” I go to the waiter.

“Sir, here is your order.” Looking and the plastic bag, “let me repeat your order, Two order of Embutido, One Chicken Barbeque, Two order of Ground Prok Menudo, One Filipino-Style Beef Steak with Onion Bay Leaves for Calix, Two Shrimp in Achiote Oil, 10 Extra rice, and in deserts, One Mais con Yelo, One Leche Flan, One Halo-halo, One Buko pandan salad, Two order of Turon. The Mais con Yelo, Halo-halo, and  Buko pandan salad are large.” He said in a casual tone.

“It's okay.” I get the Platic bag and leave.

I enter the car I saw Jayen and Analyn scrolling on there phone while Calix, Trixie and Abel were sleeping.

“Here is the food.” I said.

“Let me see.” Jayen said, looking the food on the plastic bag.

“The Mais con Yelo, Halo-halo, and  Buko pandan salad are melting.” Jayen said

“I think there is a cooler on the trunk.” I said.

Jayen check the trunk, “there is.” He said with a big smile on his face.

He put the  The Mais con Yelo, Halo-halo, and  Buko pandan salad on the cooler and he put the food on the trunk.

I sit on the driver seat and I wait jayen to finish puting the food on the trunk.

It’s alreadlt 8:45 p.m. and we have a 15 minutes of driving to the park. When jayen finish arranging, he go back at his seat.

Driving and still listening to music at the Santa Rosa – Tagaytay road and taking a left turn near a hospital, I speed up the car to to get there quickly.

“Hey! Slow down, we might go on accident.” Jayen warn me.

“Don’t worry, I’ve gor this.” I said, confindently.

I turn right to Nuvali Boulevard, A few minutes of driving I saw a mansion at our right. We are only the one who’s in this road, there is some houses, store and cafetiria in this area that are close. Just 5 minutes of driving to the mountain.

“Wake up all of you, were close.” Jayen said without looking

After they wake up, they talked about what we’ll do in the People’s park in the sky.

A minute later, we saw the gate in front of our car.

“It closes?” Trixie said.

They all exit the car to see if it's true. I park the car in the closed restaurant on the left side of the road.
