Zou Yue hugged manager Mu tightly. "Manager, you should leave this city. Go to a remote area far far away. Better yet, don't stay in any cities."
"Because six months from now, the world we came to know of will end."
"Okay, okay," manger urgently whispered.
Zou glanced up with hope. 'He believed me.. I didn't even have to explain myself, but he believed me.' his eyes sparked unintended.
"Sigh, this is going to be troublesome but I can ask for six months break for you. The company might allow it thanks to your recent popularity with miller. But before your new ad is being showcased, I can't assure you of anything," he said with a small smile.
Manager mu gently wiped his tears away. "Stop crying like a kid. If you want to see your mother you should have said so earlier.... I should have noticed it earlier as well. I'm sorry for letting you suffer for so long."
Zou Yue's bright eyes dulled a little. 'What was I expecting? No one would believe me even if I shout it out loud or broadcast it to the world.' He sighed and nodded. "Yes, I would like six months break. I wish to be with my parents."
"I shall arrange for it then," manger mu stood up and cleared his throat a little. "Don't cry, it doesn't suit you. Next time if you need something just ask for it okay?"
"hmm, thank you so much manager Mu,"
Zou Yue sent his manger and his stylist off for the night and firmly locked the doors after him. It was just a small latch on top foot eh door. He pulled the door a little and it actually moved. "This can't even hold a level one zombie. I guess I should get new locks," he mumbled to himself, and went to the kitchen.
His manager had already cleaned up everything, even washed the dished for him. There was slight pang in his heart. "If no one believes about the apocalypse, how can I help them prepare?"
That entire night he stayed up thinking of ideas to save the world.
It's not about saving them from the virus but how to survive against the level one zombie.
When the apocalypse hit, his parents passed on way earlier, before it became worse. After their passing he was devastated and heartbroken and even thought of dying a little.
But fate didn't allow him, and so didn't his guilty consciousness. He once again thought of his beautiful mother, who always coddled him and gave up on killing himself. Instead he survived.
It was tough, but he managed.
With only three rules, he was able to make it out of the zombie apocalypse before he reached any safe human settlement.
Zou Yue swiftly noted everything down in a small diary of his.
"How to survive the initial stages of zombie apocalypse:
Topic: Comrades
One, don't trust weak people, especially ones who cry and wail. Not trust them and don't even get close to them. They are the one who are most likely to push or pull you back when chased as a group.
Two, stay away from strong people. Especially the newly manifested ability user. Stay away from them as much as you can. It is a benefit to have them in your team but the team would consider that person as their strength and would do anything to get in their good graces. Even kill you or push you to a horde of zombies."
Three, travel solo or as a small group with humans you trust. Don't trust new faces, don't trust selfish old faces. They are only a liability and a potential risk for your survival."
His stomach started growling loudly again. He went to his kitchen and rummaged through the fridge, but he was not able to find anything he wanted to eat.
"I really want to eat some rose cake....."
Just the thought of the jam like sweet tart rose filing and the crunchy but flaky out later made him salivate.
"Fine, I'm going to get some! Who cares about diets when an apocalypse is upcoming. I need to bulk up like a bear to survive this harsh starvation." he wore his coat and ran out the house.
It was almost ten now and the nearby convenient stores would close by ten thirty. "I only have twenty minutes, shit," he dashed into the empty roads.
Since he lived in a smaller part of the residential area almost all the convenient stores were at least thirty minutes away from his place.
He took off like a wind and ran cheerfully. The fresh and chilly night air slightly froze his lips, but he welcomed this happily.
After just a few minutes of running, he started panting. His legs burned from over working. Walking over to the side path, he squatted down tiredly. "ah... what... the....hell.... my stamina....is bullshit,"
Suddenly his eyes started going black, the most common sign of losing consciousness. 'Just a few kilometers and I'm panting and fainting! What kind of physical routine did I maintain!!' then he remembered that he did not even have a physical routine or any kind of workout.
His body's metabolism was awesome, leading to him having a lanky body without any effort.
"I... really..... Should have worked... out," he mumbled and leaned his head against the cold ground. Suddenly, he felt a small tap on his shoulder.
He pushed it away, but the tapping returned.
"Excuse me? Are you okay? Why are you on the ground?" a magnetic voice said softly.
Through his blurry eyes he saw a man in black shades looking at him intently. He was wearing a face mask and a hat as well.
"kid...napper~!!!" he lost his consciousness.
