A Cold Morning

I opened my eyes, then closed them again,

Bright light penetrated my cozy den.

A voice yells "wake up", I hold warm blankets tight,

They are pulled off anyway, and thrown out of sight.

Cold air hits my skin, and I tell sleep goodbye,

I reluctantly get out of bed, leaving behind night with a sigh.

Ah, sleep is a wonderful thing, but... getting out of bed ... can be ....hard to say the least. XD Sometimes it feels like leaving your safe place for a world of horrors that soon awaits you, but regardless, to move forward, we get up anyway!
