Old nightmares

Why does it always hurt,

When you look my way

Feel like I'm covered in dirt

Soon as you enter the fray

And suddenly I'm worthless

Don't deserve any repose

And suddenly that means less

And I'm taken by old foes

Old nightmares are returning,

Knocking at my door,

I feel like I'm falling,

Can't take it anymore,

Have you entered the room and suddenly it feels like you've been thrown back into a pit you've long climbed out of? or have you been emotionally just yeeted back to a dark place for whatever reason? then this is written in honor of you. keeping in mind the dark places we also gotta remember that there is always a solution and if we did it once we can do it again!

Let me write up the tale,
Whether hero's glory,
Or villains prevail.

Perhaps its a poem,
Perhaps its just words,
Perhaps its just ho-hum,
Or twiddling of birds.

But perhaps you will read it,
And then may you say,
Perhaps I may read this,
If just one more day.
