What am I doing? I'm freaking stupid.

"What are you thinking about love?" Malikai says while running his hands up and down my side. 

"Hmm? Oh nothing." I look at him and give a slight smile. Maybe he isn't so bad. At least he makes sure I'm okay. Jesse never does that.

"What the fuck is this, Max? Are you seriously cheating on me with this fucking idiot? Wow I knew your standards were low but not that low. When did you become such a fucking whore? Are you selling yourself to him?" 

Jesse starts yelling as soon as he walks into the house and sees us on the couch.

4 hours prior

I've been staring at his number for a while now. I haven't finished my report on the scene, finished my lunch, or actually broke up with Jesse.

Jesse. I've wanted to break up with him for a while. I was happy with him for a long time. Quite a few years. Then everything changed within a few days. He started to talk down on me, shame me for what I wore, then told me that he was the only person who loved me. I was manipulated by him to cut all of my friends off. I only had him and my family. I only have my family because I refuse to not talk to them.

Then Malikai came along. Although he is quite… different, He seems like a good person and actually treats me well. Then again, Jesse did that at first too.

Wait….

WHY AM I COMPARING THEM? I DON'T LIKE MALIKAI. NOT LIKE THAT. Oh my God. I'm so stupid. 

Y'know what. I'll text him.

I finished everything I needed to and clocked out of work. Before I could even put my hand on the doorknob, someone shouted my name.

“MAX!”

I turn around and I see Oliver run towards me. 

“Hey man. I was wondering if you’d like to come hang out with the guys and me. Of course you don’t have to though.” 

“Oliver, as much as I would love to, you know all of your friends don’t like me because I’m gay, an omega, and not into any of them.” 

“I told them to behave because you need a night out to relax. If you don’t want to go, that's fine, honestly. I don’t mind!” 

“Okay I’ll go. But you’re paying if anything goes wrong.” 

“YES! Let’s go!”

We all went to an extremely loud bar and by we I mean Oliver, James, Danny(who’s new apparently), Ross, and Evan. It really wasn’t that bad. I talked to Danny quite a bit and found out that he knew my sister, Sakura, in high school. Danny is also the same age as me, 20. He is currently engaged to a girl named Alex. I also found out that Alex is non binary and when being introduced to people, doesn’t mind being referred to as he or she.

James and everyone else was trying to get me to sleep with them all night. 

I told Oliver about Malikai and he told me to text him and “he’s so much better then Jesse.” I know Jesse isn’t the best but he can change. I’m trying to help him.

Our night out soon came to an end and we all were going home. I decided to walk. Mainly so I could decide if I wanted to text Malikai. I eventually gave in.

We decided that we were going to go to my house and just talk for a bit. Get to know each other.
