He's all blue. Glowing blue extravagantly, rather.
Eyes closed, hands hugging his body, embracing himself in that infinite space.
He's unconscious in a dream.
Suddenly, a tiny rock fell from above and eventually hit his head.
He's floating so there's likely no gravity at all. But a tiny rock fell from atop.
A mystery he won't even be aware of as he's still senseless.
Immediately.
The boy finally opened his eyes and rubbed them as well as blinked them to wipe off some tears on their sides.
Consciousness growing until its normal point, he, at last, became fully aware of his current situation.
But instead, to be full of surprises, he only realized one thing. One simple thing.
"... Even dreams can be passionless, I see."
He said as he decided to close his eyes so to try and sleep... again.
No wonder... he doesn't even have a story, to begin with.
Coincidentally.
*Bzzzttt* *Beep*
It's 7 in the morning, and so the alarm clock that's set on this time woke the boy up.
Yet again, rather than feeling kinda blurry and half-asleep, so as to be annoyed by the buzzing sounds of the alarm clock, he rather stood his upper body up and gets off the bed first.
"A passionless sound, I see."
Then again, he keeps bringing the word "passionless".
How pitiful.
Finally, he stopped the alarm clock from buzzing. Seems like he doesn't care for the things around him, much like caring for nothing at all.
Stared at it with such 'grieving' eyes, he then wondered.
'If only this alarm clock is not with me, then it would have a glimpse of passion. It would be excited to wake up its person. It would feel alive, not regretting being there every day to wake up its master.'
... Unnecessarily pitiful. Deep thoughts. How could someone become this destressing?
He's still staring at it. Yet unlike earlier, it's empty. His eyes, to be specific, were passionlessly empty.
He can't stop staring. Because in the first place, he can't even stop himself from being passionless.
In other words, he already decided to stop trying to find meaning in his life.
He thought. He thought to himself for almost every single day in the past.
'Goal...? Devotion...? Love...? Meaning... in life? What are they? It seems that I can't know of its meaning.'
He's been helped since then.
He's not depressed and sad. He's not, ever since he was little, a dejected boy.
And yet again, why so?
Why can't he find the meaning of those treasured things... even one?
And there he finally realized, that he's just... born to be empty.
Until now, even in his current situation. While staring at the alarm clock, he's still empty.
'Maybe I will eventually be fully empty, like... dying.'
He thought so. No matter how empty he is, he can still decide things.
Dying... for sure, will make him fully empty like he hasn't even existed in the first place.
If he can't fill at least a single drop of his empty soul, then being fully empty makes it stop being empty because it will surely be then out of existence.
Like an empty glass. If the one who drinks it will be out of sight, then not just itself will be empty but its meaning will be empty too.
Much more like it hadn't even existed in the first place... and he thought about this as well too.
'Hah... then if it's to decide about the last thing I'll ever think of, then I want it to be a passionless death.'
Deeping his thoughts even more and more, it then felt like his mind is out of his body.
No wonder... he is smart, but lacks the reason to be alive. If only...
Suddenly.
*BANG!!!*
A teenage girl slams the door of his room open.
"Kuya Valentin!! What the hell are you still doing in your room huh!?"
"... Ahh... Sorry, bunso Matea."
"Hmph!! Seems like you're daydreaming again."
"Haha... ha-."
"Stop staring at the alarm clock and let's ready for school!! Mateo's already ready to go ahead!! If he can't wait for you, then I can't too!!"
"... Haha, because obviously, you're twins."
"Hah!? Why bring that up!! Go down already!!"
"... Yeah yeah."
"Hmph!!"
*BANG!!*
His sister, Matea Nobez, a freshman in his school, slams the door again and went down as well,
That was literally a tsun...dere, right?
She has jet-black pony-tailed hair, decent-looking breasts, thick eyebrows as well as a facial-feature combination that fits her entirety to the extent.
Seems fun to be around with such a cute sister. With such a twisted personality; a caring-on-the-inside character that doesn't show it even a single drop of hint, no one can resist having a sister complex if it weren't even hidden from him, like me.
It's known for sure that she is a bitter-sweet black tipsy rose.
It could be a reason to be alive. To be with her sister and do everything he can to the very best until he dies. To be a siscon until death does him apart, not bad, not bad.
Siscon? What siscon? This boy doesn't even seem to look at her sister as a sister. Rather, she's just like a stranger to him that he sees almost every day.
Who's famous for car accidents again? Oh, yeah. Truck-kun.
Would he care if she accidentally crashed with Truck-kun? Would he cry? Would he be angry? Would he want to turn back time? Would he die as well for her sister to not be alone from her resentments?
...Does... he even love his own family?
Well, he doesn't even know either. He could only just then realize it if such things will happen.
But as for now, because he feels empty, he doesn't know what to do.
Although he can decide on something in the future, he can't decide a reason to live for the future. Since in the first place, he's born to not have a future.
Of course, he has a future, a second ahead is already the future of the current present time. But for him, well, he's not aware of this, so that's why he doesn't have a future.
He's empty inside. Born to be an empty bottle. Abandoned by no one. Not others nor himself, but his existence.
And as he walks down the stairs, he told to himself.
"And yet another passionless day, I see."
Well, no matter how he tries to say to himself that a reason to live will be born inside the empty bottle of his own soul.
No matter how he convinces himself that everything will be okay.
No matter how he forced himself to stop thinking about his current situation.
No matter... how hard he tried to be happy.
No matter how... He keeps bringing the word "passionless".
It was the first day of the third-year high school student Valentin Nobez, but for him, is just a standard, typical, passionless day. Lack of interest in things. Love? Passion? Goal? What about them? They are just nothing in his mind, not even a single wondering moment about his future. Everything just seems average for him, "normal" grades, "normal" family, "normal" looks, "normal" life. Everything just seems... normal, that’s it- is what he usually tapes himself with as he walks on the street towards the school.
He seems fine with it though, not even asking for something fun. A Diety, Vessel, and friend of god of Earth, coincidentally looks upon him below, sighed as he finally figured out that the boy is another one that wasn’t given a story in life by his lazy friend. Being interested and feeling sorry for the boy, he then granted the boy something that will give him a story that he hadn’t even wished to have. Something fun, something great, and something worth living for. The thing; the key to unlocking the story; the power to see anything beyond what humans thought was a limited reality. This is the story of a boy that can see the other side of the world already, gifted by an unknown being passing through the cosmos faster than the speed of light, the gift… is none other than the Unliving Eyes.
