One of his victims was a man, who was well known in Harghita Village. At home he was a miserable being, he abused his wife and beat his children. One of his daughters, the eldest, always ended up terribly injured.

One night this monster heard her crying from her window. He was always close; his sense of hearing was so developed that he could listen beyond what he wanted. This girl was the first girl he had met that first time, after his awakening.

For some reason, he had stayed close to her when he found her again. At night she used to go for a walk around her house, only to distract herself. In one of her long walks at night, she felt watched and through the bushes near her she heard a growl. A cougar was stalking her, she fell to the ground immobile and then the cougar jumped on her; At that precise moment, he jumped on the cougar, stabbing the fangs into the cougar's neck, killing it.

Her name was Enovi, she was 17 years old at that time. Since he save her, Enovi started to trust in him; after some time been in constant closeness, they finally were able to get the chance to feel comfortable he finally told her his name, since they became closer. Every night they met and walked together. Now Ion already spoke a little English, and she helped him a lot by teaching him more.

There were some days that Enovi didn't leave the house on the days that her father beat her. So, for her, Ion couldn't notice the bumps and bruises. They became friends, that is how Enovi said to him.

After knowing of his father's death, Ion went to his old home every night; he was still trying to remember his past life, but only vague memories came to his mind. That night, Ion was leaving the house, he was very distracted and still got things in his mind. He suddenly heard a voice in the distance, right in the direction of Enovi 's house. It was the girl's voice.

Ion understood that the message was for him. He went in the direction of Enovi 's house.

That night, Enovi 's father arrived drunk; and when he entered his house, he beat his young children. The smell of blood was all around the house and seeing Enovi lying on the floor and his father on her made him furious. He walked towards her dad and took him by the arm. He threw him away and he ran as fast as he could, he grabbed him by the neck, He pounced on him directly to the man's neck and there he nailed his fangs.

Ion's fangs entered so easily into the flesh of Enovi 's father's neck, and blood touched his lips and tongue. It was as if Ion went into a frenzy; he couldn't stop himself. It was as if that inner beast that Ion had been holding back for a while was finally coming out. It’s been a while since Ion drank humans blood, he tried not to consume it so often, only those who deserve it.

Ion stopped and released the man's body once he drank all his blood; he still had the mark over his left eye, this time the mark was no longer bleeding; it was simply a mark in his eye. His fangs still protruded and the blood of Enovi 's father ran down his lips and clothes.

He heard a groan from the kitchen, Enovi was unconscious laying on the floor. Leaving that trance he had entered a few minutes ago, he walked towards Enovi. He picked her up off the floor and placed her on the dining room table. He lowered his dress to cover her.

He walked to the room where Enovi's mother was, and as he approached her, he noticed that Enovi's mother was dead. He covered her with her own sheets and went to the room of Enovi's little brothers. The two little ones were dead too.

Enovi woke up, she sat and with her hands she pulled the dress together and she got off the table and slowly walked to where her little brothers were; crying she hugged them, Ion was just behind her. She stood up and walked in Ion's direction and stood right in front of him.

She had no expression on her face, she pleaded him to help her.

In that precise moment, Ion knew she was asking him to convert her into the same creature as him. Ion has told her that humans can become the same as him, these monsters that suck blood. In one of those conversation, he told her that he did not turn them into monsters because he knew how difficult it was to control oneself, although there were some that escaped from his hands and that is why all those legends that were heard. He also told her that these blood sucker monsters follow his lead, so there was certain control he had over them. That's why he knows what Enovi was referring to.

Ion looked directly into her eyes, and he noticed that the bright and shiny eyes Enovi had were no longer there.

Enovi - I just want to forget and take revenge from all the humans that do the same as my father did to us. He took my mom's life, my little brother's life... and mine as well... I have nothing left here in this house...
