I step out of my car at the old church that was listed. Sam was no help on getting directions. I swear turn left at Denny’s isn’t a direction. As I start heading to the church doors I lock my car. The beep actually makes me jump. Why the fuck am I so scared right now? Yet my hand is still trembling as I reach for the knob.
It’s locked.
I look at the paper in my hands and see that it says I need to knock three times. As soon as my knuckles leave the door it swings open without a sound. So fucking creepy. My head is screaming at me to leave, but my gut tells me to take the step forward. I should have listened to my head.
I walk into the very dusty church leaving footprints of my shoes behind me. At least the ghosts can tell I have good taste in shoes by those prints. I look behind me at the thought of ghosts though to see that the door had shut.
Fuck.
I turn back around to see that someone is now sitting in the very front. Long black hair hanging down began to tell me who it was.
“Where the fuck are we?”
“Keep your mouth clean in this place.” That’s all she said as she waited for me to join her.
“I have a lot of questions.”
“I know.” She looked up at me and those eyes seemed to pierce right through me keeping me in place. “Are you ready to find out who you are?”
“What do you know about me? How did you disappear last time?”
“I used magic. Just like you can. You are the son of Kal, the Elven watcher to the human race. You are his half elven heir.”
