They bolted to their house; hoping that their parents weren’t as worried as they thought they were. They hurried to see their parents. Finally, they saw their parents nearby talking to some police officers. While talking to the police officers, their mother turned around. She saw Ryan and Rosa. She ran to the two of them and wrapped them in her arms.

      “Where were you two,” she asked in a worried yet stern tone, “I thought you guys had gotten kidnapped.”

     Ryan and Rosa knew they couldn’t lie and say they were trick-or-treating the whole time because it was so late. But telling her the truth wouldn’t be the best option either. She’d probably think they were crazy if they told her what had happened. 

    Rosa being more honest then her brother Ryan told their mother the entire truth of what happened. Their mother didn’t believe her at first but eventually Rosa convinced their mom that what she said had really happened to them.

     Their mother alerted the police officer who she was talking to before about what Rosa and Ryan had said. The police officer then went up to the children and asked them what the house looked like. They told the police officer what it looked like. The police officer alerted his fellow police officers on what the house looked like. 

      After that him and the other policemen got into their cars and left saying they’d be back later. The policeman came back the next day and told Rosa and Ryan’s parents that they were unable to find a single house in town that fit that description. Their parents scolded them for lying about being in the house. Rosa and Ryan were obviously shocked because the house they had been in didn’t look like any of the other houses in town so you would be able to find it fairly easily. 

      When the police officer had left Rosa and Ryan left their house to go back to the house they were in the night before so they could prove the officer and their parents wrong. They followed the exact route they had last night when trick-or-treating. When they came to where the house should be it wasn’t there, instead in it’s place there was a empty plot of land. 

      The two of them decided to never tell another soul about what happened because they didn’t want anymore people to think that they’re crazy. As time went on their parents and anyone else who had been told about what happened that night forgot. Rosa and Ryan never forgot that night though. It still scares them to think about what happened to that house they were in that night and where it went.
