Tristan growled as the chair bounced off the window; not a single crack could be seen on the bulletproof glass. Ira could turn it into a spider web with a shout, but when it come to his punches or hits from whatever he object, he could find in this god forsaken dungeon, the window stood strong.
He could swear it was mocking him; letting the sun flutter in and shine on the blood marks and catches along the wooden floor.
"Fuck. Fuck!" He slid down the wall next to the vanity, scratching his collarbone as he watched the refractured light split into a rainbow. He flinched as his skin split open from his nails, the bottom of his eye twitching as he looked at the blood congealing under his fingernails.
Red; nothing but pure scarlet.
Bright scarlet eyes staring at him in the abyss.
Watching passively as he twisted and scream.
The inky blackness suspended him
Frozen in time.
While he screamed futilely for release,
The hands no longer had to restrain him.
Mouths no longer had to bite off his flesh.
He was exactly where they wanted him.
There was no hope here.
"I can't stay here. I can't do this." He hadn't slept since that horrific night. How could he sleep? It didn't matter that, once again, Ira was hiding from him; those bright eyes against her dark, blank stare haunted him. Even after the bruises healed and his joints were back in place, those eyes remained in his psyche.
There was something twisted and broken inside of Ira. Something so irreversibly damaged inside of her. Even as she slept, she had to destroy something.
It was in her nature.
You knew that.
You just wanted to ignore it.
Your dick got you into trouble again.
Christ, shut up!
He punched the floor, grimacing at the wood cracked under his knuckles. He looked over to the damage, appraising it.
At least something she did is paying off…
He touched his neck, counting each little divot. It's ironic; what she did out of cruelty is helping him stay grounded. Stay focused.
"I…I wanted to say yes. I wanted everything she would give me. This nightmare…was becoming a dream."
When she promised you everything, didn't you consider that her pain would be parts of it? Did you really think it was going to be luxury baths, expensive food, and endless fucking?
He had no response to that; a part of him knew she would fail. That it was only a matter of time. It was a part that he emboldened when he tried to bring out the beast through insults, spite, even raping her as often as his arousal and fury wanted. It was a part that receded into the back of his mind when she rebuffed every single attempt, held back the beast through sheer will alone.
Because she loved him.
So, of course, the beast would wait until she was unconscious of its rampage. It waited until she was nestled against his body, eyes closed, and the illusion of ethereal peace coaxed the two of them to sleep.
Before it awakened him with bludgeoning punches and suffocating knees; breaking his wrists and pinning him down with those bright crimson eyes.
Then ended its rampage with one fist to his jaw.
She was awake for that one too…
Then she left.
Just like before.
She ran away, leaving him in this cell, using useless pieces of furniture to break the bulletproof window.
He traced over the misshapen cracks on the floorboard. Clenching his teeth, he marched back to the window, shoving the bed with his foot away from his path. He reared his hand back and slammed into the glass.
Sweat dripped down his forehead, down from his chin, and onto the floor. He kept pummeling the window, each punch coming faster than the last. He hissed as the skin over his knuckles bruised, then broke. His lungs heaved with exertion as he kept going, going from one bruised, bleeding hand to the next.
Break! Please break!
His hands were screaming in pain; they have been through so much agony already. Yet he didn't stop. He lifted his arms over his head, slamming the side of his fists against the window.
Blood painted the window, bright, red blood that glittered in the sun.
His fingers were back to a sickening purple, red, and blue. The bones creaked, possibly brittle from all the damage he was causing them. All the damage that Ira had put him through.
"Ira…Let me go. Please let me go. I can't do this, I can't stay here! I can't!"
Just something was irreparably broken in her, something was shattered in him and he didn't know how to put the pieces back together and Ira…what she was turning him into…?
If I had said yes…I would have to through more nightmares. I would never be safe. EIther she would've killed me…or…
When he pulled her against him, forcing her to touch his scars, to feel the wreckage left on his body, there was something else he wanted to do to her and her exposed, sweaty, blood matted body. When he slid across the floor and curled up, he was not only protecting himself from the books and shelves.
He was hiding his full, trembling erection.
When the door buzzed and the three locks clicked into place, he jacked off, sobbing as pain and pleasure wracked through him.
When he stared at the mess coating his hands and the floor, he screamed until his voice went hoarse and practically knocked himself unconscious, slamming his head against the floor.
He was relieved when the beast escaped from Ira. When Wrath returned, because then…he could feel pain again.
She had held that part of her from him for so long…and he saw it in those bright, burning, ruby eyes.
Either she would've killed you…or you would be damned.
"I can't stay here…" His bloodied hands slide down the impenetrable window, dark clouds coloring his eyes, "If I stay here…" His words trailed off the cliff as he gazed at his blood coated reflection.
She was so beautiful in every way.
Even when tearing him apart.
He jumped as one click made his hair stand on ends. He bit his lip hard as the second jerked through spine. When the third followed, he turned his head, tense.
The door buzzed and slowly opened.
