They eagerly stared at me. Well, at least I thought that they were looking at me. Having no eyeballs was quite a nuisance.
I pointed at the carcass that was collecting flies and bleeding out on the ground. “It pains me to say this but I wasn’t able to properly cut the meat. Your task is to do it for me. Make sure the fur isn’t too damaged when you separate it from its main body. Give them all to me once you are done Now, go.”
I was proud of myself for speaking like that. I didn’t know whether it was authority-like but at least it didn’t sound like how I usually spoke back in my world.
They all took a knee in front of me and nodded before moving straight to the carcass. I watched as the long-haired man scratched his head in confusion before he made a gesture like he had an idea. The rest stared at him and watched as he pointed at the carcass. He didn’t say anything but they all nodded anyway.
I was still creeped out in some way. That old elf didn’t lie when he said that they were similar to intelligent creatures. The hamster moved away from my hands and perched itself on my shoulder.
“Kyu. Kyu.” It squeaked. Okay then.
I was still staring at them intently when I heard a sizzling sound from the fire. I turned my head and checked whether the meat was done or not. I didn’t have any knowledge regarding whether a lump of meat was cooked or not in the center but I had an idea.
I grabbed a long stick on the ground and using the Nature Element, I willed it so that it became as thin as a toothpick. It took a little bit of concentration but after a minute or so, the perfect shape was created.
I poked the meat using the stick and it went through with ease. I guessed this meant it was done? I shrugged and put it away from the fire. Since I impaled the meat using a stick, I just grabbed both ends and blew on it.
I didn’t like hot food since it would make my tongue numb. Once it got cold enough for me to take a bite, I took a huge chunk off.
What could I say about the meat? Hmm, it was extremely juicy. The meat was tender, enough for it to fall from the stick and landed on the ground. The moment that I bit into the meat, it melted in my mouth. Since I was fairly big, the size of the meat also sufficed. The main problem was not having salt to bring out more flavor to the meat.
Nevertheless, I was fully satisfied after getting lost in trying to consume the meat. I gave it 7/10.
After rubbing my stomach, I looked over to my summoned creatures again. They were still working diligently to take apart the deer. Two of them had a knife in each hand. I took a guess that it was the same principle as me altering my skills. They could alter their own body to conjure up weapons.
One was working on the fur while two more were in charge of cutting and storing the meat. Satisfied that my experiment on summoned creatures ended with a success, I began to fiddle with my status screen again.
Not much had changed but I knew that Elemental Magic had new information to give me. I didn’t need to click on the screen anymore and simply thought about accessing the Elemental Magic interface. It brought me there like I hoped.

Once again, I was faced with something new. I sighed.
This will happen a lot, isn’t it?
There seemed to be a total of 20 elements that existed in this world. I had opened around three while there were two new elements that I noticed.
Light was clearly inaccessible since I was a monster species. I didn’t know what “Rooted” meant for the illusion though. Did it mean that I used it so much that it became something that was natural for me to use? I had it as a main skill amongst the other five skills that I already unlocked.
This gave me an idea of what skill I was going to play around with next.
Whatever, let’s just move on.
I brought up the Nature Element screen and the overall spells that I had used up until now were present. I read through all of them.
NATURE ELEMENT
You have keen information regarding soils, seeds, and trees. You are one with nature. Even though the nature element prefers peace, it can cause an extreme amount of devastation if fallen under the wrong hand.
RAPID GROWTH
You can manipulate the trees and seeds all around, causing them to grow at a very fast pace. They are able to be controlled by you however you want. Can be altered. Damage differs from the caster’s ability to strengthen it to the fullest.
Current alteration:
Grow poisonous thorns all over the vines.
LIVING EARTH
Give life to the seeds that you imbued mana into. This will create summoned creatures made out of plants. Intelligent can be Altered. Summoned creatures can be Evolved.

[SPELL LOCKED]
There were so many spells being locked that I was quite surprised how strong this Demon King was. The fact that it was only Nature Element and not the rest made me question the last fight between Kannech and Erazor had. He didn’t use a lot of spells related to Nature Element when he fought Erazor.
Why was that?
I wasn’t satisfied with the ending fight too. A lot of readers wrote their dissatisfaction, saying that it was too abrupt or rushed. It made it seem like the Demon King was too weak to be the last boss.
However, the author never tried to revise the last fight. He even announced that the last fight was what really happened and he couldn’t change the fact. It sounded like he himself had witnessed that fight in the first place which made me laugh. The author was too attached to his characters.
Now that I was stuck here, maybe he did witness the fight between Erazor and Kannech. He just decided to write a novel about it and made a profit in my world.
It begged the question of whether Kannech really was distracted during the last fight.
I heard a rustling sound next to me and noticed one of my summoned creatures was coming over. From the way it looked, it was a woman. Her body was curved like an hourglass and her hair was long enough to reach her waist. She was carrying a bunch of meat in her hand.
She knelt in front of me and presented those meats to me as a royalty would. I rolled my eyes. I didn’t know whether this was yet again my subconscious demanding to be worshipped or Kannech just had that godlike effect on summoned creatures too.
I took it away from her hand while the rest of them were also coming this way. I stood up as they knelt in the same position as that woman. Each of them had either meat or fur in their hands. I let out a hum of approval.
“This will suffice. Excellent work,” I said.
I was taking away everything on their hands when a thought occurred to me.
Can I see their status?
It was a gift given to me by the author, meaning that it was my one and only innate ability of sort in this world. He said that I could access information regarding myself and this world. However, to what extent was that information? Was I able to see someone else’s status as if it was a video game?
I decided to test it out. I looked closely at the leader man minion and imagine being able to see his information. My vision glitched for a few seconds like static disrupting my view before something popped up.
It was the same status when I looked at my information but this time, it was filled with knowledge about the summoned creature in front of me.
[Character Information]
Name: Unknown
Race: Corrupted Servant (Nature)
Skills:
?????
Description:
A summoned creature made from the seed of the Howling Jungle. It will follow your command and will never betray you for as long as it lives. Proficient at nature-based skills. Able to be Revised and Evolved. Turns into seeds again when dispersed. Will permanently change when Evolved.
Evolution Credibility: None
Oh? This was new. They all had the same description. They didn’t possess any names. Should I give one? Maybe later when I decided whether I needed their help again.
Another thing that caught my attention was their race. I guessed it was due to them originating from this forest. I read a little trivia about the Howling Jungle. It mentioned how the soil on this place was so corrupted that new and mysterious plants existed regularly.
This was a goldmine for alchemists or people that dealt with medicine and such but due to the monsters, nobody wanted to do any research. Plus, even the plants themselves were fatal, either by them having a life on their own or they were too poisonous.
I just got myself a bunch of weird servants made out of corrupted seeds. Plus, there was that “Revised” and “Evolved” again. I tried digging for information about what that was but it only showed me an interface filled with errors.
I sighed. Error after error. I was going to plunge that error up the author’s ass if this went on more. Nevertheless, I looked at the last new thing that I found today.
Evolution Credibility.
It was marked as “None” meaning that my summoned creatures couldn’t undergo this so-called evolution. I didn’t know what it meant no matter how hard I tried to think. I didn’t want to waste time turning on my phone.
I closed the screen after done fiddling around with it. I began to address my summoned creatures again.
“You have done very well. You will be of use by me again in the near future. Until then…”
I immediately dispersed of the skill and all of the sudden, a bright green light illuminated my view, causing me to block my eyes with my hand. When it subsided, I looked in front of me and they were gone. There were only a few seeds left on the ground. Five to be exact.
Wait…five?
I looked over to my shoulder and noticed the green hamster was sleeping soundly. It was actually cute. Who knew that it didn’t get affected by my spell??
I was about to disperse the skill on it when I made a decision to leave it there. It didn’t disturb me. Plus, it could be my new companion. I didn’t know how it didn’t fell off my shoulder yet so I could only guess it could also use a few spells to latch onto me.
It was laying on its back, with no care in the world and about its safety. I had to chuckle. I observed the hamster and realized that it was a male. It was a little bit tricky to know but he didn’t have nipples that female hamsters usually possessed. I checked its information.

Name: Unknown
Race: Corrupted Summon (Otherworldly Animal)
Skills:
Elemental Magic, ??? ERROR ???
Evolution Credibility: None
Unlike the others, this little guy had an actual skill. Interesting. He was even marked as Otherworldly Animal. This world apparently didn’t have animals like hamsters. It was logical.
In a world where demons and monsters were out to kill you, hamsters were bound to be extinct. Cats might not be domesticated here too.
I was beginning to feel annoyed at my summoned creatures were unnamed constantly. I hummed in thought.
“I’ll name you…Mocha,”
I was craving some coffee and my favorite would be mocha. I was about to sit down when another bright green light shone on my shoulder. The source came from the little guy, it seemed. But he didn’t move at all. He was still sleeping like a little baby.
I decided to ignore it. Maybe it was some kind of new information added to his character screen. I did give it a name after all.
With a sigh, I sat down on the rock, staring silently at the fire.
I was once again…lonely.
