He was already gone, which meant that I could now take the things he left me behind the door to survive, these ranged from food to books so I wouldn't get bored. However, I had to do it fast, he only gave me thirty seconds to pick up everything, if I missed even a millisecond I had to assume that it would be his.
When I finished picking up the things I closed the door as fast as I could, just at that moment I heard how his heavy footsteps started to approach my position. His disgusting aura became more noticeable as he approached, I had to admit, he scared the hell out of me.
—Olivia —the demon whispered behind my door. —I hope you like all the things I brought you today, I really went out of my way to get all that stuff. —He admitted, laughing a little. You know, you're lucky I'm very noble, otherwise you'd have been by my side long ago. —He said in a somber voice that made my skin crawl.
—Better said: I'm lucky that you value your life so much. —I reminded him as I summoned up all the courage I had in me, even so, I kept looking at the door, trembling.
—YOU THINK YOU'RE SO SMART, DON'T YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT, YOU FUCKING BITCH? —I jumped in my place to hear him so furious as he pounded on the door, but after a few seconds he stopped and let out a sigh. —I hate my son-in-law, not only did he put you in a room I can't enter, but he raised you to be a stubborn girl who doesn't know her place... Luckily I've already killed him. —Hearing this, I could not help but cry and feel a great rage eating away at me.
—If I had known who you were, I wouldn't have done anything for you that day. —I sputtered, feeling silent tears running down my cheeks.
—But you did and now you're here. —He mocked with laughter. —And when you least expect it, you'll be right next to me.
