“Entschuldigen Sie, was haben Sie gesagt?” (Excuse me, but what did you say?)
Aiden raised an eyebrow at her and enquired when his phone call finished.
He nodded as she repeated what she had just said to him, and he began to order. For a time, she suppressed her hunger and took careful notes on what he was saying.
She leaned in to get the menu in front of him, but there was a spark when their hands brushed against each other.
Aiden seemed to sense it as well, hissing a bit, breathing heavily, and looking at her. She promptly exited the room and went to the kitchen to inform him of his request.
“Für Tabelle zwei.” (For table two) She murmured, her heart relaxing. She took a big breath and exhaled. This isn't good for her at all. She's well aware of it. But something draws her in, and she longs to see him again.
When the dinner was done, she placed it on his table, and he smiled and thanked her. She nodded and was about to return to the kitchen when she heard an adjacent table's dishes shattering.
“Wo ist Ihr Vorgesetzter? Ich rede mit ihm!” (Where’s your manager? I’ll talk to him!) A consumer yelled vehemently. Agent Isleen approached them and offered her assistance because the waiter servicing the table was trembling. She kindly inquired, “Unser Manager ist im Moment beschäftigt. Was kann ich für Sie tun, Ma'am?” (Our manager is currently unavailable. What can I do for you, ma'am?)
She directed the waitress to summon their boss, leaving her alone with the irate customer. She'd worked here for a week and had dealt with folks like this before.
The customer was a lady in her thirties who had jewelry all over her body, as well as an expensive branded purse, shoes, and clothing. Of course, the individuals that come to the restaurant where she works are either millionaires, children of billionaires, or mistresses of billionaires.
She's thinking this woman is a billionaire's mistress, judging on her flawless makeup.
The woman then shook her head. “Nein, ich verlange Ihren Vorgesetzten zu sehen. Was ist das für ein Fünf-Sterne-Restaurant?”
(No, I insist on meeting with your boss. Is this a five-star establishment?)
She pointed to her plate and said, They were nearly half-full. “Auf meiner Suppe ist ein Haar!” (My soup has a hair in it!)
Agent Isleen gave a curious nod. The restaurant was well-known and well-regarded for its cleanliness... Clearly, this individual is attempting to tarnish their name.
“Ich entschuldige mich, Ma'am, wir geben Ihnen noch eine Suppe. Bitte noch fünf Minuten warten.” (Please accept my apologies, ma'am; we will provide you with another soup. Please wait another five minutes.) Everyone was now watching the uproar. Isleen must resolve this issue or risk losing her job. That is something she must avoid. This has been her sole key to completing her objective and obtaining answers.
“Nein, ich bin ein vielbeschäftigter Mensch. Ich werde jetzt gehen.” (No, I’m a busy person. I’ll leave now.) She stated that she had not even paid for her lunch.
Just then, Isleen noticed Aiden rising up and going towards them. “Was geht hier vor sich?” (Can you tell me what's happening on?) Standing next to her, he inquired. He had a powerful perfume aroma that oozed masculinity.
She bowed to him, recalling her job as a waiter here. “Es tut mir leid für die Bequemlichkeit, Sir. Bitte kehren Sie zu Ihrem Plaz zurück, wir kümmern uns darum. (I apologize for the inconvenience, sir. Please return to your seat; we'll take care of this.)
He gave the woman a knowing look as he peered at her, and she gasped.
“Ich sah deutlich, wie diese Frau ihre Haare auf die Suppe legte. Worüber beschweren Sie sich? Oder haben Sie kein Geld, um Ihr Essen zu bezahlen?”
(I distinctly witnessed this lady putting her hair in the soup. What exactly are you displeased with? Or you don't have enough money to eat?) He enquired of her. Isleen gave him a serious look. Is he assisting me in any way? She pondered this.
The woman gave them a stern look before handing me her credit card and paying for her meal. Aiden then sat back down, putting a stop to the uproar. She then walked to the counter and charged the woman with her credit card.
“Danke dafür, Andrea.” (Thank you so much, Andrea.) According to her coworker. The waitress who had served the irate woman before had been terrified. Andrea. It was a moniker under which she had disguised herself. A name that doesn't really suit her.
She gave her a kind grin, “überhaupt kein Problem.” (No problem at all.)
She then handed back the credit card to the woman, who was sitting in embarrassment while people gossiped about her. When the woman received her card, she promptly departed, and Agent Isleen returned to Aiden, who was eating his steak alone at his table.
She waited for him to complete his lunch before approaching him to express her appreciation, “Vielen Dank für vorhin, Sir. Wenn du etwas brauchst, ruf mich einfach an.” (Thank you for earlier, sir. If you need something, just call me.)
Aiden wiped his lips with a white handkerchief and checked his watch before turning to face her. “Wie heißt du, vermisse?”
(What’s your name miss?)
Isleen paused before revealing her cloaked identity. “Andrea…Mein Name ist Andrea, Sir.” (Andrea…My name is Andrea, sir.)
Aiden nodded, his ocean blue gaze fixed on her.
“Andrea. Schöner Name. Das hast du ganz gut gemeistert.” (Andrea. That's a great name! That was really properly handled by you.) He added his thoughts. As he uttered her name, she felt her heartbeat quicken. Despite the fact that it was a fictitious name, it felt good.
“Und ich will einfach nicht mein Essen verderben, deshalb habe ich dir geholfen.” (And I really don't want to spoil my meal, which is why I assisted you.)
He then gave Agent Isleen his credit card to pay for his dinner, and she left to charge it to him. When she returned, she observed him putting on his coat and rising up. She returned his card to him, and he smiled.
“Danke für das Essen. Ich habe es genossen. Und überprüfe das Gewebe.”
(Thank you for the food. It was entertaining for me. Check the tissue as well.)
She gave a little nod. She went over to his table, curious, to see him leaving a hefty tip and a number scrawled on a tissue for her.
It turned out to be a phone number.
Isleen discovered it was his phone number later on. She has no intention of phoning him and has kept her intentions to herself.
Isleen was forced to serve the CEO for several days after that day. He continued to arrive at the restaurant, constantly requesting that she serve him.
Aiden eventually bought the entire restaurant simply so they could have lunch every day.
“Das Restaurant musste man nicht kaufen.” (You didn’t have to buy the restaurant.) Isleen said.
He placed the steak on her plate after slicing it in front of him. He gave her a kind grin, “Ich will das Beste für mein Mädchen.” (I want the best for my girl.)
