My heart was racing, and I was freaking out I can’t believe that he did that to me. He promised not to be rough and not to hurt me, but he did. Pain shot from inside my stomach, I just needed to get home and explain what happened to drew.
I was sitting at a red light waiting when somebody rammed into the back of my red Lexus. The bump forced me into the middle of the intersection. My heart was racing. I didn’t even think of the damage, the only thing I thought about was the incoming traffic! The horns honked and headlights flashed why was everybody going so damn fast.
I had to get the hell out of this car I didn’t think anybody could see me. So, I hopped out of the car and dodged cars. I ran over to the sidewalk and sat down. “My fucking car!” I was pissed now that I was safe. I didn’t want to deal with this.
Somebody ran over to me to check and see if I was okay. “What the hell, lady!” Some man yelled at me “how could you stop in the middle of the street?” I looked at him confused I didn’t I said, looking at him.
“Yes, you did he insisted.” You were driving in 100 a 60 then you hit your brakes out of nowhere!” he fussed.
Was that true? I didn’t even know for sure I was so tired I probably fell asleep at the wheel again. Damn! I didn’t want to go through this! “How bad is the damage?” I asked. I wobbled over to the car to check on the car.
“Madam, you can’t walk out on the highway like that somebody said grabbing me.” It was him. He was going to hurt me again.
“Don’t touch me I will call the police,” I screamed. Running to my car.
“What are you talking about,” he asked. I felt something running down my face as the person looked at me in horror. “Madam, are you okay?” I tried to break free and walk to my car, but my vision became blurry. I held my head and walked to my car, as I walked toward the car the further it got. “What the hell? What’s happening?”
“Miss, are you okay?” People stepped out of their cars to look at me. So many concerned eyes. The wind blew my hair into my face as I continued towards my car. When I reached it, it didn’t start
What the hell! Police lights flashed behind me. Then everything was upside down, me and the car just randomly flipped.
Damn! I don’t need this. The officer ran up to the car and pulled me out! “What are you doing let me go” I kicked and screamed. What was happening? My lungs got tight. I couldn’t breathe.
“Miss! Are you okay?” The officer picked me up on his shoulder. “Why do you have me?” “Is someone hurt?”
“Oh, shit Did I hurt someone,” I asked the paramedics pulled up. “Here!” The officer waved. “She right here!” they yelled. I was on the ground and my car was balled up and upside down everything was warping around me.
“What was happening?” “Miss don’t move.” I closed my eyes, and I was on the ground and people were looking at me.
Oh god no, not another blackout my head hurt. “Miss don’t move!” The paramedics put me on a stretcher. “What’s going on?” I screamed! “I’m not hurt let me walk,” I screamed.
“Miss stay with me!” He yelled! “Do you know your name?” the paramedic asked me I was about to tell him, but my words became jumbled. “Britt…” I can’t speak I slurred my words. “brrrtty”
I looked over to my car and it was different the car looked like a stepped-on can. “She keeps blacking out,” the paramedic said. “Ma’am you drove in the middle of the highway”. “Ma’am, can you hear me?”
The voices went in and out. I could feel blood filling my mouth, I could taste the iron Where is this blood coming from? “Ma'am you are on the way to the hospital,” they said. I felt hands on my head and neck. “Her neck seems to be broken.” “she has a large piece of metal sticking out of her side.”
“Ma’am, can you feel my hand?” Ma'am, can you feel me touching your legs?”
Ma'am stay with us.” They flashed a bright light into my eyes. I was speaking, but they couldn’t hear me. I felt my shirt get ripped off and cold gel placed on me. “Clear!” They yelled! A hard jolt shot through my body. “Clear!” My body felt icy and I couldn’t feel anything.
“Can you hear us?” I can hear! You just can’t hear me…. The voice echoed.
I was in a room all-white room with no windows, only mirrors. “Ma’am, can you hear us?” The men on the other side of the mirror spoke to me. “Yes, I can hear you hello!” I banged on the mirror.
“We are losing her!” “Clear!” I felt pumping on my chest and something in my throat. “Miss!” “blood pressure 50/40
“150 bpm and dropping “I’m here” I yelled louder! I banged my fist on the mirror! I continued to bang and scream until it shattered. Everything was blurry.
The blur left my eyes. I could finally see, and sound flowed into the white room. The mirrors in the room shattered. The men finally looked at me. “Welcome back!” I was in a hospital room surrounded by my loved ones.
“Oh, no not again! Was I in a coma?” it didn’t feel real.
“Bear, we were so worried about you,” my great-grandma grabbed me. “Granny you can’t be here right now!” It was freezing standing near her, “how are you here?” I asked her. “I’m not bear, and neither are you it’s too early bear,” she said. “Come with me Bear”.
“It’s too soon for you to be here bear!” “Come here!” I tried to grab her hand, but she disappeared. “Granny!” I screamed I was back in the room with mirrors what did this mean? I didn’t see anybody when I looked into the mirror. I didn’t see anybody, or a reflection of myself.
I tried breaking the mirrors again but after I did this time. The white walls turned red. The walls were leaking on the floor the white room turned red. “Bear, you aren’t here!” I heard my granny’s voice. “I’m not here?” I asked. “What does that mean?” I looked around I was about to drown in red. Was this not really the room had no doors or windows? Just a red room with mirrors. How were there even lights There weren’t any light switches or bulbs where this light come from.
How did I get into this room I know it isn’t real am I dead “No! bear don’t have those thoughts!” “What am I?” I looked down at my feet, but I didn’t have any.
“What!” I grabbed my stomach, but I didn’t have one. I didn’t have a body. I touched my face and again nothing I was fading away. Was I dead “No!” I heard my granny crying.
The room filled with darkness, a dark sludge, and it was coming after me. “What! Is that?” I tried to run away. It injected into me I felt myself being drained so I freaked out! “No!” I fought. I felt a pain in my chest. And I felt my heart beating fast. I touched my chest, and it was back I looked at my feet and there they were.
“Wake up, bear!” echoed in the room, and the mirrors appeared again. This time I didn’t break them I stood and look at them my reflection appeared.
I was naked, and I was wrapped in bandages. My face was wrapped up, but I noticed splotches of blood leaking through. I stood there in horror I only had one eye and no legs. What?
“Live bear!” A tear rolled out my eye, and I accepted the vision of myself and walked through the mirror. Beeping noises filled the room. And machines all over my body. I was weak, but I was here. I touched my face, and it was swollen. I felt for my eye, but it was gone. So, I knew what that meant: I had no legs.
What happened What did I do to deserve this?
I couldn’t talk because I had tubes in my mouth I just laid in bed until the doctors came. I took people’s husbands okay I got my ass beat by that random chick I've been good since.
