Tossing one of the men into the door it falls to the floor with ease. Lucy stretches before stepping into the room anger written all over her face as she shouts.
“Hand over my husband and no one’s head will be crushed!” Three of the five men in the room turn to look at her giving each other a hearty laugh.
“Ma’am you might want to calm down and explain. What did your husband do? Who has him?” This response makes her raise a brow in confusion.
“You have no idea who I am do you?” She questions, most of them shrug before the last man closest to the back shouts.
“You idiots that’s the Ring Masters Wife! Capture her!” He shouts making Lucy chuckle and with a wave of her hand she announces.
“Now that’s what I expected!”
With that one of the men steps forward, raising his gun to her before the large boa constrict flies into his neck taking him down as Henry kicks the other guy between the legs.
“HA! Take that dickhead!”
“Language Henry.”
“Really? I didn’t even say anything that bad this time!” Henry retorts turning to look at Lucy as she passes him, and over to the last two guards that stand frozen. Cracking her knuckles both men drop their weapons.
“That was easy… a bit to easy.” Morris mumbles striding passed Lucy and over to the courtroom door.
“You little traitor! The Will shall have your head for this!” a man with dirty blonde hair leaps forward arms outstretched. Only to be stopped in his tracks by a soft voice. “Huh? What is-“ He crumbles to the floor as Henry who at the time they hadn’t noticed stepped from the room to grab Lilith. His eyes set on the fish tank against the wall.
“Thanks.” Morris looks between her and the man on the floor.
“You two stay out here. If anyone else tries to come in knock them dead.” Both nod as she turns to Morris. “Lead the way.”
“Alright, should be just up ahead.” Leading her down the hall the eerie silence becomes apparent almost immediately.
“This doesn’t feel right…” She mumbles as Morris cautiously opens the door in front of him. Taking his hand he stops, letting go of the handle and giving her a confused expression.
“What’s wrong?” She leans down to whisper in his ear. Only to be thrown back by a loud bang. Back hitting the wall, the ringing in her ears becoming unbearable as she pushes up off the floor. Feeling the cold of steel against the back of her head, she reluctantly stops. Punching the concrete below her as a deep voice reaches her ears.
“See, no one shall oppose the Will and all its might.” Looking up her heart stops, being held up by two men is Rico busted and bruised as though he had just lost a bar fight.
“Get up.” The figure behind her juts the barrel into the back of her head.
“Fine. Fine…” She grumbles getting up. “What are you going to do with us?” She snaps, glaring the who she could only assume to be the major down.
“First, I believe I shall deal with the problem involving your people posthaste.” He mumbles turning away, turning back a second later with a gun pointed towards her. “Starting with the lifeline.”
“LUCY!”
The thud against the floor made it so real, raising his head his tired eyes. For a moment he doesn’t believe what he sees, for a moment this could just be one big bad dream concocted by his stupid imagination. That is before one of the men kicked her in an attempt to check.
“…mi amor?” his voice barely breaks a whisper as his head is tugged backwards to look at the man who with a smug smile waving the gun inches from his face.
“Now that, that is out of the way. Let us begin the process. You shall all praise the Will as we have.” Just as those words dropped a shaky voice breaks out.
“Ma?” The mayor doesn’t hold back the laughter that bounces off the walls.
“This is just perfect!” He shouts, “Let the viewing begin!” He continues throwing his hands out. Turning around he comes face to face with the shadowy figure its robes tethered to the ground as it’s clawed hands grabs the mans face. “What?”
The figure tilts its head, looking passed him to the ground before throwing the man down the hall. The two men hold Rico up suddenly freeze as blood slips from their lips. Dropping Rico to the ground who without a word reaches forward pulling Lucy up onto his lap. Mumble incoherently as each man in the room drops blood slipping from their parted lips in silent screams.
Pulling away from Remy’s arms Alex drops to the floor tears rushing down his face as he runs over, shaking his mother’s shoulder.
“You all shall fall! All of you!” Looking over the man dives into one of the rooms, the door denting with deep fists as Remy curses.
“Metal…” He grumbles, Rico just sits their holding her until a sharp pain hits his arm and mumbled curses fall from within his lap. Sitting up shock runs through them all, Lucy lays her hand on her head a deep scar running against from where the bullet had seemed to lodge itself. Blood drips from the wound onto her tank top.
“How?”
“MAMA!!” Alex jumps up wrapping his arms around her neck as she blinks a few times.
“Man can’t shoot for the life of him.” She mumbles pointing to the wall where a bullet hole sits a small plum of smoke having poured from within. “Hit the side of my head and nearly knocked me out.”
“That’s going to last for a while.” Milo says a small blob with beady white eyes against Remy’s shoulder. Keeping her hand over the wound she looks back to Rico who stares his dark eyes on her, a matching set to Alex’s as he tries in vain to stop the tears.
“You scared me mi amor… I- I actually lost control of the mirage.” He chuckles as each eye in a wave blink at her.
“Well next town we go to well make sure there is no crazy cultist in the area.”
“What are we going to do about this place? We can’t just leave the town like this.” Katie pipes in watching her footing as she steps over to them. Rico lays his hand under his chin in thought before punching his balled fist into his palm.
“We do what we do best. Give them a show!”
