The alpha let out a gutteral snarl and bared her fangs, stepping closer to Kiel, eyes narrowed and pupils thinned. When her emerald eyes met Kiel’s violet purple ones however she paused and sniffed the air, her lips fell and now that she was no longer snarling Kiel offered a small awkward smile, he wasn’t keen on alphas but he appreciated female alphas control and sensibility. “Uh hi… I’m Kiel… I’m an omega…”
“I can see that now, how come you don’t have a collar?… Or even clothes?” She asked in a voice deeper than a typical females, with an accent that Kiel found a little strange but still understandable.
“I don’t know, but your lovely Omega pair offered to lend me some clothes… if that’s alright?” Kiel asked, he didn’t know much about alpha and omega customs in this time period but he could determine that alphas were still possessive of their omegas and so he didn’t want to overstep any boundaries.
“Yeah it’s alright.” She nodded and looked him up and down, “wouldn’t want you walking around like that, especially with no collar on either. I almost mistook you for an alpha though, there ain’t many male omegas let these days any more, and there certainly ain’t any omegas left that smell like fresh woodland rain and morning dew.”
“It’s alright, sorry for barging into your home and frightening you.” He bowed his head a little and looked up when the smaller omega woman came scuttling out with a pair of jeans, a pair of underwear, a plain grey shirt and a white collar as well as a black one. “Are these for me?”
She nodded and placed them in his arms, “I didn’t look to see if you were claimed or not so I just brought a collar of each colour.”
“Forgive me if I’m being rude but what is this fascination with collars? Do they have some sort of significance?” He asked as he got dressed, the clothes must belong to the alpha since she was the closest in height to him and the shirt faintly smelled of leather and sandalwood.
The alpha cocked her brow and tilted her head, “are you shitting me right now or do you truly have no idea?” When Kiel shrugged she sighed and leaned back against the bench top counter, “well many, many years ago a law was instated in most countries of the world, unbonded omegas must wear black collars and bonded omegas must wear white collars. It was so that alphas didn’t start fights over bonded omegas, and so that bonded omegas couldn’t cheat on their alphas or try and con money off of another alpha. They also say the collar prevents unbonded omegas from being marked against their will, but that’s a load of bullshit said by the government just to keep omegas feeling safe when in fact they’re being controlled by horny ass alphas.”
“You seem against the idea of collars,” Kiel murmured softly, “yet its to basically benefit you alphas.”
“I’m not like those other alphas! I love my omega! She’s the best thing that ever happened to me and she’s not just an object that I want to prissy up and control! No human being should ever be treated like that.” The alpha yelled, brows furrowed and fangs bared once more. “I hate all the unfair laws against omegas, they’re people just like us but alphas thing that they’re just objects for pleasure, breeding and showing off. It’s disgusting.”
“I’m glad to see some alphas are still respectable these days,” Kiel smiled a broad, toothy grin and the alpha flinched back and growled, eyes widened in surprise.
“Y-you have fangs!” She snarled baring her own fangs in a cautious manner.
Kiel let his smile fall and he stepped back, giving the alpha her space, “my fangs? What about them?”
“H-how do you possibly have fangs? All Omegas have them removed as soon as they present, people stop presenting at the age of 15, you’re at least 22. H-how is it still possible for you to have fangs?!” She snarled, her eyes darted around the room and Kiel could see the cogs in her head moving, trying to come up with a feasible solution. “You… you’re the spirit aren’t you?”
Kiel felt the world freeze around him as he met the alpha’s deep green eyes, “h-how did you come to a conclusion such as that?”
