April P.O.V

Hi, I'm April. I was born in a small village called. Brit's cotton, weird name, but that funny enough how my village is famous for selling and growing cotton. Anyway, my family is poor. I was taken from my home when I was three and sold by my father, to Miss Lean who is like my stepmother (and we all know how stepmothers are like) she is the head maid in the Ross family which you will learn about the little bit later on. She is the one who told me about my past and how I was sold.

Miss Lean taught me to behave, eat and even walk. By the time I turn 18, everyone thought I was her child that is how good she is. She says I should always be prepared to be a maid and follow her steps. Anyways, it's been a week since I started working for the Ross family now, and never have I seen the owner of this house, only the ex-husband. Some say the madam is sick or the ex-husband killed his wife. I don't know the truth, but one thing I know is that there is a door in the house that is always closed (not locked) but that's it.

When I ask about it, they just say I should ask, Sir Nick [ex-husband]. To be honest with all the rumors about him, I just have to find my way to get in that room. They just a weird family, no kids but they live in a mansion and now the wife is nowhere and sir Nick is the one who is always in the house, telling us what to do and even act like he is happy but even a fly can see, that man is unhappy. I once walked in him knocking on that door and he just smiled at me when I asked him if he needed anything, you can tell he was on edge, by the way, he was acting and he even said I remind him of someone (creepy right).

Today was the day I am going to find a way to get in that room. I got out of my small bed, went to take a bath in the tub, that a thing about this house is like 100 years old it has no shower and the clothing is like we in the 1600s. Even my nightwear is just a plain white long dress, with the sleeve on it. I brush my teeth, hair after my bath and wear my maid black and white clothes. I heard that Miss Lean is be going to town today, so it's my chance that I can do my exploring. I head downstairs and look to see if she was gone already and I can see, in the front door she is going out and closed the door.

I try to keep my cool but my excitement is was on the show caused it made others around me look at me like they know my plan. Sir Nick has a new family now which I think maybe that why he got separated but anyway I should stay focused. He is not going to come today as it Sunday and he is with his family and with no one to watch me, I think I am going to have my way in this house (doing my happy dance).

I ate my breakfast, went to do my chores, and done for the day. They are just laundry and mopping the kitchen floor. I went upstairs, look around if other maids were there, knocked, and went inside. I was surprised by what I saw. It was a baby's room. Which now you can guess why my confused face is like, because I know they don't have a child, so why is this room decorated with pink and purple, also have baby things in it? What are you doing here? To my shock, I turn around and show this beautiful woman and then I turn pale when I return to reality. Baby girl, I said what are you doing in here? Her voice was calm [me blushing by the nickname] but you can see she was tired and been crying by the bags on her under eyes were on show. I lost my voice, the more I look at her I got scared and fall into headspace on the sport. I said mommy by my scared baby voice and fainted.

I am back if you have thought I was gone... well things happened, anyway guys this is a new book and genre so I am trying new things to see what is my best genre that suits me. Call me crazy but I like a lot of things especially when they make me entertain. Don't worry I'm still going to finish my first book.
