River my dear I would show you what my heart looks like at the moment but it no longer exists in a solid form because it is a puddle now and I don’t think it will ever recover. You have no idea how precious this kind of chapter is for me. Seeing Aiden’s view of their relationship being able to pinpoint places where Jamie’s and Aiden’s experience was the same or different is like infinite joy for me. The metaphors you use for Aiden’s love for Jamie (the forest) that would later become so vital to their relationship (the tree and Jamie rescuing/caring for it) and is such a vital part of Jamie’s personality with his love of plants is just beautiful. This snapshot in Aiden’s perspective being early on in their romantic relationship just adds to the already amounting sugar sweetness because we the readers know that soon Aiden will be able to walk Jamie through his forest of love (I swooned) and that in return he will be given the same love and adoration in return. To go so long without affection is so detrimental but we know that he is in good nurturing hands and like Mrs. Callahan said, Aiden needed a soft touch and Jamie is just the person to treat him with kindness love respect and gentleness. Just beautiful and I fall in love with this story again every day! This will definitely be on my weekend reread list! Sending all my love you!
