Meanwhile back at the cafe. Derek and Kyle are holding hands and across the table again. Kyle  hasn’t answered the question and Derek is getting impatient.

“So, are you going to answer me,” Derek asks, pouting.

“I didn’t want to.  I was hoping Marie would,” Kyle answers with a nervous chuckle.

“Then I’ll call her,” Derek says and pulls out his phone. He then calls Marie. It rings for a good while then she picks up.

“Derek? What’s up,” Marie asks curiously.

“Marie, can you meet my boyfriend and answer some questions,” Derek answers while looking at Kyle.

“Uhh, okay,” Marie comments confused, “ Why don’t you bring him to the house. I’ll be in the back.”

“Okay. I’ll bring him there. Also please don’t hurt him,” Derek says almost pleading.

“Okay,” Marie questions, “I’ll see you when you get here,”

“See you then,” Derek says cheerfully as he hangs up the phone.

“You will be meeting my sister today,” Derek comments with a smile and Kyle goes wide eyed. Derek motions for Kyle to follow him. Kyle follows Derek in shock. Derek leaves the cafe and goes to the car. He gets in and waits for Kyle to get in. Kyle slowly gets in with a nervous smile on his face. Derek then starts the car. Kyle watches out the window as Derek drives back to the house. Kyle starts to look more nervous the closer they get to the house. Derek smiles at Kyle to reassure him. They pull into the driveway and get out. Sarah, Derek’s mom, leaves quickly as soon as they get out of the car. They walk to the back of the house. They see Marie standing in the middle of the field. She is wearing a light blue tank top, black leggings, black tennis shoes, and her hair is back into a ponytail. Derek also sees Josiph and 2 new people. Derek grabs Kyle’s hand and walks up to Marie.

“Marie,” Derek calls out when they get closer. Marie turned around and frowned.

“Derek, why are you with Kyle,” Marie asks with a slight glare at Kyle.

“You know him, I know. Just talk to him and hear him out please,”  Derek answers with puppy dog eyes.

“Why should I when he and his family tried to hurt or kill me,” Marie asks, holding back a growl. Derek goes wide eyed in shock.

“Please Marie, I want to apologize for what I did and bring peace to the wolves and hunters,” Kyle answers quickly.

“So, a treaty,” Marie asks with a cocked eyebrow.

“Yes,” Kyle answers and Marie looks at Josiph. Josiph is on the phone and is very intently focused on it. He seems a little irritated as well.

“It will be done soon,” Josiph growls quietly.

“Before she turns 19,” The female says on the other side, “We also got some information on the illegals. A dragon in the area seems linked to them. His name is Cadmus. You should start there. I wish you and her luck, my son.”

Josiph turn to Marie and Marie sighs. He hangs up as he does.

“Who was that,” Marie asks curiously.

“My mom. She got a lead. A dragon by the name of Cadmus,” He answers and she frowns.

“Did she say what kind of dragon,” Marie asks with a sigh.

“Sadly no,” He sighs out and looks at the sky.

“Then we have our work cut out for us,” Marie says with irritation.

“I guess we do,” Josiph says with a smirk, ‘And I will have you by the year’s end’
