The announcement earlier said to press the button on the podium twice when I was ready, I guess I'll do that. She presses the button twice. The hologram turns on except this time it is white and not light blue like it has been before.
"Are you sure you are ready to leave?"
"Yes"
The hologram then turned off. Then there was a small pop noise-"OWW!". She turns around and pulls the dart out her leg, then she gets dizzy, and tired.
“Why?”
She blacks out.
Where am I? ... A box? She pushes up on the top of the box popping it open, and instantly regrets it. It's freezing and there is a strong wind, even so she looks around to find out where she is. A snowy mountain? She finds that there is a parachute on the snow connected to the box. Did they really drop the box from a plane or something? Do I at least have the stuff? She curls back inside the box to check. A couple of things fell off the belt and the box with food got a little smushed but nothing was broken. She reattaches the stuff to her belt and puts the bow, which fell off, back on her shoulder. Then she noticed that there was a small bucket of salt, she paused for a second before grabbing it by the handle. They gave it to me so I should use it, I guess I can make some jerky with it. She was probably very lucky that the knives had covers on them otherwise she could have ended up with a slashed leg. While in the box she tips it over in the direction the wind is blowing which was also facing down the mountain. It should be easier to find food down there and find shelter.
She crawls out the box and starts walking with the wind and cold pounding at her back. A couple of times the wind pushed her flat on her face, other times the snow simply wasn't strong enough to carry her weight and she slid down a few feet. Thankfully she wasn't too far up the mountain and when she was approaching the treeline she noticed a pack of wolves in the distance. There were eight of them and they too were walking down the mountain. As long as they aren't starving I could get a lot closer and still be safe. Right now I need to warm up and fast. Only my boots are waterproof, and I could go into hyperthermic shock if I wander around too long. Hey that a pretty big word I know. No, that's not important right now. She walks to the treeline opposite to the wolves and finds a steep hill thing that has tons of snow on it. She starts to dig out the snow and creates something similar to a large rabbit hole or a mini igloo. Thankfully because of the way the hill was the snow was already very compact, so it didn't collapse. She puts down the bucket. She now has protection from the wind, but is still cold. She crawls out the snow hole and looks for some sticks, the only ones she will find here are going to be wet, but they'll have to work. She comes back with a small pile of sticks and drops them in the center of the hole she dug out. She then moves the sticks so they make a cone shape. I wonder if I can start a fire with electricity? I guess there is only one way to find out. She puts her hands on either side of the sticks and small sparks start coming out of her hand. She is soon able to get the sparks to go from one hand to another. This electricity gives both heat and energy to the sticks that suddenly light on fire. She stops and the fire weakens due to the wet wood. Air! I can make a breeze on the sticks to help it grow. She then shifts the air around her so that it all move in a clockwise direction, and the fire kicks back up again. It's a good thing that I made the inside of this like an igloo so it keeps the heat inside and I don't have to worry about it melting.
"GRooowl~. I guess I should eat then".
She then takes out a piece of the jerky that was in the box and begins to eat it. It doesn't take long for the room to heat up, and because of the fire and the air that was moving around, her clothes were drying pretty quickly. The sun wasn't particularly high when she was in the box and it was clear that the sun will set soon. I guess I'm not going outside to scour the area for food sources. She finishes eating the jerky which she enjoyed and took a sip of the water. I guess I'm also going to need to find a river or creek tomorrow. I also want to eat more but I know I should save it. The sun reached a point low enough in the sky that it could be seen inside the small den and made a beautiful orange glow inside and the trees that were in front of the sun also made it pretty. I haven't been awake for that long, why am I so tired? I should have brought a blanket... Maybe I can use my wings as one. She sits the bow and quiver down and pulls out her wings. I thought they might be cold because my body temperature is still a little down, but they are quite warm, why have I not noticed that they are soft too. She sits in a gargoyle like stance with her wings wrapped around her and goes to sleep.
(computer room from before)
"Give me a report on the subjects, did any of them die today?"
"No mam, subject 1 and 3 landed perfectly, and subject 2 had a rough landing, however because of his abilities he was fine."
"Good. Did any of them fight?"
"No mam, none of the subjects have encountered any sort of conflict."
"Very good, we do need to get as much information as possible to see if this is worthwhile since there is so few of them."
"Um,I know we are doing something different and I don't mean to question your authority, but why are there so few subjects?"
"Well we expected casualties, but not to the scale that it was. We struggled just to get them and keep them alive."
