A bright yellow light roared from around the sunwolves body, Ligneo wincing as they covered their eyes from the intense glare. The incredible brightness faded, starting at Fenris’s dagger-like nail, extending down his now orange-coloured furry finger. As the light disappeared completely, every single one of his grey hairs had turned to one of orange, standing on end like being blown by the wind. His entire coat of fur looked like that of a flame, with real orange blazes flowing across every portion of his body simultaneously.
Ligneo crossed his arms across his chest to block, and within two seconds Fenris had moved right in front of the demigod, slamming his fist into the half-treant’s guard. Ligneo’s wooden gauntlets cracked as he was launched to the other edge of the clearing, unable to even blink before Fenris had followed him the entire way. The sunwolves blazing orange fist came like a hammer from Ligneo’s right, slamming into the side of his head and sending him on an arc around the edge of the glade until he had arrived at the northern side, gasping for air as blood dripped down the side of his head. He stumbled to his feet as he raised his arms close to his face as he had seen Fenris do, tightening his guard as he looked to where the beastman stood.
But the beastman was gone. Bringing his sight upwards, the demigod watched as Fenrisolace fell on Ligneo from above, the treant bringing his guard upwards to block the strike from above, with the sunwolf not attacking, simply landing on the ground inches ahead of the treant. Ligneo looked in fear as before he could adjust his defenses, the sunwolves right fist blasted into his stomach, causing blood to spout from his mouth, his knees beginning to buckle.
Ligneo roared, as best he could, causing branches to emerge from his palms like serpents, attempting to pierce the sunwolf who simply dashed backwards, flames chasing after him as he looked back up to the sun. About twenty seconds had passed since noon began, Fenris bringing his gaze back to Ligneo, the branches he produced dropping off of his hand, immediately rotting.
The crushed wooden gauntlets fell off of Ligneo’s arms, thumping on the ground like hollow logs. He began screaming, blood dripping down his chin from his mouth as his arms began cracking, both wooden and flesh. His body was covered in black patches, of burns, as well as scarlet trickling down his head and his chin.
His arms began to crumble, blood pouring from the growing cavities, as lime green vines with a wood-like texture emerged from the wounds, wrapping and tightening around the pair of limbs. The sunwolf sighed as he seemingly vanished, appearing behind the boy in a matter of seconds, slamming his fist into the back of the treant’s head, launching him through the air towards the centre of the clearing, Ligneo on his stomach.
Screams continued to leave the child of Crann as he gasped for air, raising himself from the ground with now a pair of lime-wood gauntlets, crimson dripping from them, the cracks still present along his newer armaments. He stood, a cherry liquid leaking from even his eyes as Fenris slowly walked towards his opponent. Ligneo struggled to make a pair of fists, but he did, holding both of his quaking arms in front of himself as Fenris leapt forward, the grass beneath the sunwolfs feet turning to a circle of ash.
A right hook flew into Ligneo’s defenses, blocked with his lime gauntlets, pushing the demigod back but holding his guard firm. Fenris exhaled in shock, and anger, flames around his body slightly increasing in intensity as Ligneo reeled his quaking left arm back. The treant thrust the fist into the right side of Fenris’s face, causing cherry liquid to spew from the beastmans mouth as he was sent flying through the air.
Gore spouted from the inside of the beastman’s cheek, as he slid across the ground, leaking from his jaw like a fountain. The grass he skid across was scorched black, before he came to a halt, struggling to his feet and cupping the outside of his completely torn cheek. Fenris looked on at Ligneo, whose arms continued to quake, as the sunwolf’s very cheek fell into his hand, completely ruptured, a gaping hole now present, as he dropped the chunk of flesh from his palm, dumbfounded. The sunwolf’s tongue was visible from his right hand side, as blood began to expel from the gaping wound, Fenris slamming his hand back on the injury, scarlet leaking through the gaps of his orange, furry digits.
Steam rolled around Fenris’s eyes before he leapt towards Ligneo again, bringing his right arm to his side as the demigod reeled back his left arm, striking forward. The sunwolf came to a halt, digging his heels into the ground just out of the demigod’s range, side stepping like a bullet to the left before launching himself past the treant, turning on his heels and dashing towards his targets back after passing him.
A swing to the back of Ligneo’s head caused his skull to crack as he ate the dirt in the exact same fashion as Fenris, blood continuing to roll out of the gaping crater in the beastman’s face. The demigod planted his palms on the ground below, collapsing as his green arms struggled to stay steady, his fingers digging into the ash covered dirt as he was able to successfully bring himself to his feet, wavering from side to side as he faced the Godhunter.
Fenris looked to the sky, as fifty seconds had passed since his transformation began, his fur vaguely beginning to lose its orange hue as time went on. He leapt forward, his head tucked low with his arms tucked tight, Ligneo bringing his lime limbs to either side.
With cracking sounds, both of the demigod’s extended palms opened wide, blood spouting from the fissures across his arms, roars of pain mixed with rage on his face, before planting both of the arms straight ahead towards Fenris.
“Yggdrasil!” The boy bellowed, unable to even make fists, as his palms stayed open, the sunwolf making his final approach. Fenris approached just in front of the demigod, stumbling as he brought his right fist down from above, the half-treant extending his arms a short distance into the beastman’s exposed chest. A massive burst of air passed through the other side of the godhunter’s torso, before stumbled, and ultimately fell backwards, his eyes turning completely blank as the colour from his fur left completely. His chest became bruised, blood beginning to coagulate at his throat as he began to choke, lying on his back, no longer conscious.
Ligneo stood over his opponent, legs continuing to quake as his arms fell to his sides, blood pouring from them like a well, the wooden coating barely visible at this point. “I avenged you mother.” He commented softly, tears welling up in his eyes, mixed with blood, slowly rolling down his flesh and wooden cheeks.
Coughing, echoed throughout the clearing, as Ligneo looked to the ground with fear in his eyes. Fenris sat up, completely grey, blood vomiting from his cheek-hole and mouth, vague purple colours being visible beyond his fur around his chest. He stood, Ligneo stumbling backwards in shock, as Fenris actually stood, his eyes completely absent of pupils.
“How!” Ligneo screams, his arms still shaking, as Fenris swayed from side to side, his eyes rolling downwards from the back of his head, blinking as his sight adjusted. The sunwolf's breath was weak, his entire body shaking as he barely stood straight, yet he continued to approach.
The demigod meekly raised his arms, gritting his teeth as another mound of blood spouted from his limbs. Fenris brought both of his hands to the right side of his hip, the inside of both of his wrists touching one another, flames engulfing both of his palms. The demigod stepped forward, stumbling and falling over onto his hands and feet, yelling in pain as his palms touched the ground. He looked up in fear as flames continued to engulf the beastmans hands, but even more terrifying was the smile. A toothy grin rest upon Fenris’s face, looking down at the Demigod, eyes like a monster ready to consume a lesser beast. The smile wasn’t malicious, or evil, it was pure ecstasy, and that was what scared Ligneo the most.
The treant brought himself to his feet once again, bringing both arms across his chest to guard, not even able to make fists, arms shaking out of pain, and terror.
“Solar-!” The beastman roared, both of his arms now swimming with orange blazes, snaking and roaring, the fire itself making a growling noise as Fenris stepped forward with his right foot, a strong stomp without any fear or pain.
“Lupus-!” The sunwolf continued to bellow, Ligneo quaking, as he began gasping for air, Fenris’s arms moving forward from his hip, upwards to his side then forward, both hands now separated inches from each other as roaring flames bit and snapped at one another amidst his furry, clawed, grey hands. His eyes glimmered with joy, his smile one of pure bliss as his palms were both right in front of the demigod’s arms.
“Fang!” And with the final roar, Fenrisolace took a deep step with his left foot, slamming both of his palms forward into Ligneo’s cross arm guard. The swirling flames shaped into the head of a wolf, the maw of the beast completely engulfing the demigod’s brittle arms. The two hands slammed into the defenses, shattering the arms before reaching his torso, a tornado of fire erupting and piercing through the demigod.
The swirling orange and yellow flames completely penetrated the half-treant’s chest, leaving a gaping hole where his heart once beat, fire and ash flowing into the air above as Ligneo fell backwards, tears and blood flying from his eyes as he failed to scream due to the pain that coursed through his entire being. He fell to the ground, filled with anguish, fear and regret. Ligneo reached upwards with his right hand, to reach to the sky, not even realising he no longer had any arms.
Fenris stood panting for air with ragged breath, blood continuing to pour from his maw as he fell to the left, his eyes once again going completely blank, everything in front of him going dark.
