Jake POV

“Oh do we really have to do this? I was about to go on a date”. “Jake, we're on a mission stop fantasizing about fake things” - Jack said with a laugh. “Hey! It's not fake, I was going on an actual date!”. “We have better things to do like kill zombies and not go on a flipping date with an imaginary person” - Jack. I picked up a blue piece of paper, it seemed to be a blueprint of some sort. “Fragment Compactor”. Looked massive and the blueprint showed large copper tubes running into the machine. “Great, we've found something, let's go back now”. “There’s still a lot more we can find so no” - Jake. Disappointed that I couldn’t leave, I returned back to look for more blueprints. After looking around for quite some time me and Jack had found a massive vault with a huge lock on the side of it. “Looks like that’s something we need to get into”. “Jack, did you bring something to break the lock?”. “Yep, give me 15 minutes as it’s a heavy duty lock.”.  While Jack was breaking the lock I went to look around some more and found some sort of weird system. On top it looked like an alarm with the middle of the system saying “Zombie Alert System”. Out of nowhere the alarm started buzzing and turned a blood red “Warning Zombie Detected. Lockdown activated” The System said, I then tried to lift the lockdown but the same screen still stays on. “What’s going on?” - Jack wondering why a siren is on. Red lights flashing on and off with a siren piercing my ears. “There’s a computer here saying a lockdown is initiated! Because it found a zombie!” I shouted so Jack could hear me. I rushed back over to him to hear a zombie right behind me, I turned around as fast as I could and took out my gun. I shot the Zombie straight in the head with the Zombie falling on the floor. “Shoot, they're here!” - I shouted. Jack got up and equipped his guns out ready for when the next Zombie would arrive. I looked around the room back and forth, when in the corner of my eye I found a group of 6 heading my way. I took out my modified AK-47. The “Fourzen” and shooted at the zombies. “That was easy...How’s it going for you Jack?”. “Good there’s about 20 or so near me but that doesn't even break a sweat for me”- Jack said triumphantly. “The Zombies started increasing in numbers just a few seconds ago. I had to deal with 6 but now there’s about 35 near me. Although it would take a lot more to even scratch me...Maybe about 200 Zombies but that wouldn’t even kill me. Once again instead of there being 35 there’s now 95 and growing way too fast. I ran over to Jack to help him and to use his radio. I say on the Radio “Zombies are where we are. We’re on the right path” We started running to find something to deactivate the lockdown while shooting Zombies to try and lower their numbers. The numbers had increased to 150 and were still increasing. Jack found an empty room without a single zombie in sight. The red lights in this room weren’t flashing and instead were on all the time. In the middle of the room was a strange machine that didn’t have a sign. Inside the room was a deafening silence. We walked further in to find a command console. “How did they get all this advanced tech?”. “Yeah HQ told us this was built in the 1950s...But this was too advanced for the 1950s”. - Jack. Suddenly a massive swarm of zombies surrounded us “Hey Jack there are a lot more zombies here now isn’t there?” I couldn’t even count how many but I guessed there were probably around 450 zombies around us. We realised that we wouldn’t be able to kill all the zombies in this area so we made a run for it. I was in front of Jack although there was one problem, it was that we were approaching the end of the room quite fast. The end was getting closer and closer and I needed to think fast “Damn if only someone else was here”. Just as we reached the wall I found a break in the wall. I threw my backpack at it and the wall came crashing down. It revealed a secret room full to the brim with boxes that reached the roof. “What is this place?” - Jack wondered. “Have no clue but we shouldn’t waste time there right behind us” I shouted while still running, i let Jack go ahead of me so I could knock down boxes as I ran. After running in the secret room for a bit we found the door to the exit. Thanks to the boxes we managed to slow the zombies down a lot and we could not see them behind us, although I’m not sure if that’s a good thing as we have no idea where they’re at now. I looked around and it seemed we ran into a control room. “Huh that’s convenient” I said triumphantly. Inside the control there were a bunch of...Well control machines, the main desk was in a surprisingly good state unlike the rest of this facility. On the main desk there was a button that was labeled “Deactivate Lockdown” Seeing this button and my potential freedom i pressed it without hesitation but i realised that was a bad mistake after because the System shouted “Lockdown deactivated” across the whole facility and the zombies probably know where we are now. I heard one walking up and shot it both in the legs and the arms then finally putting it to rest by shooting it’s head off. One by one more zombies started appearing, they were probably the ones that were chasing us before. There was only one exit and entrance and the zombies were both flooding into it so we had no chance to leave. “What should we do?” I shouted, worried that someone might not come and we would die here. When out of nowhere a few gunshots could be heard...It was our rescue.
