I panted as I laid on my back. “You okay?” Asher smirked at me. I rolled my eyes at him. I decided to go put clothes on, because the kids love to barge into the room at any moment. I got up, and ran to the closet, trying not to let Asher see me. “I don’t know why you’re running!” Asher yelled at me, but it seemed like a distant echo.
I changed into some pjs, as I tried to cover up the dark pink marks on my neck with some makeup. The kids are always so curious, and I don’t need them asking me questions about it. I walked back into the room and smiled widely at Asher. I jumped into his arms on the bed, giggling. “I’m going to have a busy day tomorrow. I have like three meetings and I have to file a bunch of paperwork.” He said to me caressing my hair. I rubbed my hands on his chest “That’s fine. I will just spend the day with the kids, and make some dinner!” He sighed. I slowly inched away from him, “Is there something wrong?” I asked him, with a concerned expression. He shook his head no, and yawned. “I’m just tired. Let’s go to bed, we already had a real busy night!” He chuckled at me.
I woke up to the sunshine peeking through the curtains. I groaned, shielding my eyes from the bright and shiny sun. I yawned, turning on my side to see Dylan in the bed sucking on his finger. “Dylan . . Dylan” I whispered to him with a grin. He’s the cutest kid I’ve ever seen.
I got up from my bed, stretching my body and getting rid of all my body aches. I went into the bathroom, looking at my pretty brunette hair in the mirror. I brushed my teeth and did my hygiene routine. I decided to change out of my pjs because I always feel ready for the day when I change into some better clothes. I put on some jeans and a blouse. By the time I went back to my bedroom, I saw Dylan was wide awake, rubbing his eyes.
I walked down the stairs to the kitchen, Stephanie, and Daisy were already sitting down, hopefully staring at their empty plates. “Guys, you know we don't use those plates!” I said before taking out their favorite plastic plates ,with disney characters on them. “Mommy! I'm a big girl now! I get to use the pretty glass plates you and daddy always use!” Stephanie cried, jumping from the table. Dylan, who was following me, jumped onto the chair and started dancing. Daisy jumped from her chair and ran over to the dishwasher, Stephani right at her feet
“Kids, sit down at the table please!” I yelled to them, putting the eggs on a plate, next to the pancakes. I carefully placed the plates on the tables. The kids ran over to the table and began digging into their food, trying to talk to each other with their mouths stuffed. I poured orange juice in a cup and gave it to them. “Thank you Mommy!” Daisy said to me, eating her eggs. I nodded at them and smiled. I felt my phone vibrate and noticed it was a text from Lizzie!
“Good morning Violet!! Girl I am literally going crazy over these red pumps! I’m going to send you a pic right now!”

I rolled my eyes at my phone. This girl is always going crazy over some type of material object. When me and Asher moved here, to the suburbs, I met this group of friends at this book club! We don’t go to the book club anymore, but they’re still my closest friends in this place, my only friends at that.
I left the kids in the dining area to go text Lizzie. I sat down in the formal living room on the couch.
“See how cute they are, they would look amazing on me . . and you! When’s the last time Asher took you out girl? You’re really giving 50’s housewife”

I sighed, I actually don’t remember. He’s so caught up with work that it seems like I’m always the last person on his mind. Sometimes I feel like I do too much for him, like I’m a good wife. I cook, I clean, I give him amazing s*x but maybe that's what my friends are always talking about. That I’m a 1950’s housewife.
I decided I wasn’t going to text back. I had other things to do, and focusing on some red heels isn’t going to do anything to benefit me. I heard the only floorboard in our house creek. I walked over to the staircase landing and saw Asher walking downstairs, in grey sweatpants and a t-shirt. “I thought you had a busy day today babe?” I asked as I went over to hug him good morning. He didn't say anything, it was like he didn't even acknowledge my presence. He just looked down at me and said nothing. I stared back at him, “Asher, are you okay?” I started to get worried. I smile slowly spread across his face. He picked me up and started twirling around “Good morning beautiful” He beamed as he put me down. I was confused, but I just went along with it. He ran to the kitchen and I could hear Dylan scream “Good Morning Daddy! Do you see what Mommy made for us? It's so good.” I walked into the dining room and cleaned the pool of syrup on his face. “Mom, Daisy keeps stealing blueberries from my plate. Tell her to stop or I'll crack her little fingers in half” Stephanie yelled. I could see spit flying from her mouth as she talked. “I'll be leaving for work in an hour, I better get ready” Asher said, looking at his invisible watch before racing back up the stairs. “That was weird “,I thought before picking up Daisy’s plate and placing it in the sink.
Asher and Violet are husband and wife. They live in a nice neighborhood with 3 kids. You could even say they're the perfect couple until Violet finds out Asher is cheating. Violet and her friends decided to take care of the problem . . and it involves blood, lots of it.
