The Wu Clan's Rise: Legends of the twin dragons

I Won (part 1)

I Won (part 1)

Nov 11, 2021

All the disciples immediately felt a painful ringing in their heads, they covered their ears to block out the piercing shout, but it was no use. It felt like the shout was directly entering their ears ignoring their hands.

Luckily it didn't last for long, after a few breaths of time the shout died down.

Some of the disciples were still standing slightly disoriented, while some were on their knees trembling with ashen faces.

There were only two disciples that were completely knocked out with froth coming from their mouths....it was a really wretched sight.

If one was paying attention those two were the only ones that had called Longmin 'eldest brother', that shout had been significantly louder for them than the others.

The skill and control one would need to infuse their voice with Spiritual Qi and increase the volume of their shout for someone in a crowd while lowering it for the others, was nothing short of difficult for someone below the Core Formation stage, but Longwei had done that even with his cultivation suppressed.

Following where the voice came from, everyone turned to look at the open booth above the main entrance that was only reserved for the Patriarch and Elders.

In the chair allocated to the Patriarch, a youth with average looks was sitting there lazily with an expressionless face.

But, even with his average looks and comical sitting posture, he still gave off a domineering and aloof aura, which was a complete contrast with Longmin's gentle and refined one.

"Wh...who is that?"

"He....he actually dares to sit in the Patriarch's seat?"

"Shush!.....have both of you turned deaf from the shout? Didn't you hear him say, little brother?" The disciple that had just reprimanded the other two disciples looked to the ground where the unconscious disciples were and shivered in fear "It's young master Longwei, he's back, and it seems some people forgot about the taboo in the clan, he doesn't like it when someone calls young master Longmin eldest brother."

Hearing who it was, the two disciple's faces turned white like a sheet of paper.

Longwei's reputation in the clan wasn't necessarily a bad one, after all, he was praised for his talents in martial arts, and was even given the nickname the 'Wu Clan's young dragon', but, his attitude at times could come off to others as very obstinate and overbearing, leading to some people being displeased on one end of the spectrum, and some fearful on the other end.

On the stage, Longmin was still sitting in a lotus posture as he gave Longwei a sheepish look, that would've made anyone's anger towards him lessen a notch.

"Welcome back 'twin' brother, was your journey home worry-free?" Longmin said while emphasizing the word twin.

Looking at his brother with an angry expression on his face, Longwei ignored the question and said "Twin or not I'm still your elder brother, so it's only right for you to address me as such!"

"I'll call you elder brother when your more than fifteen minutes older than me" Longmin's instant reply caused Longwei to become speechless. 'Was that even possible?'

Longwei narrowed his eyes and then a loud, 'Slap! Boom! Whoosh!' echoed.

The chair Longwei was leisurely sitting on had been slapped to pieces, before he leaped off the edge of the booth into the air.

The crowd below looked up to see Longwei's dragon-like figure soar across a distance of eighty chi to arrive sixty chi above the stage. With the sun behind him, everyone could only make out his silhouette.

Up in the air, Longwei looked below him to see Longmin, after which, he placed his palms together as if he was praying, and said "Godly Palm: Replacing The Heavens", the Runic seal inside of him that was suppressing his cultivation loosens a little causing his cultivation base to enter the Foundation Building stage.

The now overflowing Spiritual Qi inside of his Dantian began circulating through his eight extraordinary meridians and gather on his right palm, which started to glow jade green in color.

Pushing his right palm downwards in a swift motion, a jade green palm print started to descend towards Longmin. It started small, but as it descended further down it enlarge to a size that covered 1/3 of the fifty chi wide stage.

The palm was extremely detailed as even the palm lines and fingers prints on it were visible, the disciples down below visions darken as the gigantic palm blotted out the sky, it looked as if the palm had really replaced the heavens.

The disciples that were closer to the stage felt an intense and suffocating pressure, causing them to run away in panic, some were lucky to reach a far enough distance, but the slow ones got blown away by the strong winds the palm generated while descending.

While the disciples were busy scattering for dear life, Longmin was still sitting in a lotus position on the stage.

With a calm expression he looked at the palm that was coming closer to him, his white robes were motionless as he casually lifted his left arm above his head and extended his delicate, pale white index finger.

The scene of Longmin trying to stop the palm with just a finger looked like a mantis trying to stop a war chariot. With his small frame under that huge palm, anyone would assume that Longmin's index finger, along with his body would be crushed to pieces.

The disciples that were watching the events play out from the distance widen their eyes in surprise.

Everyone could tell that Longwei had used an extremely powerful Daoist Magic, even someone in the midstage of the Foundation building realm, when facing this palm would feel like their walking on a tight rope that was suspended above a thousand li deep pit, one miss-step would lead to their deaths. But, even so, Longmin was trying to stop said Daoist Magic with only a finger. The disciples who were at the mid-Foundation stage in the crowd were even more shocked than anyone else, as they knew Longmin was only in the early stage of the Foundation Building realm.

However, when everyone was expecting the worse, Longmin's seemly weak index finger produced a soft white light, while a red runic symbol the size of a pin appeared on the tip of his finger.

These barely noticeable changes caused the almighty palm to come to a complete stop. With Longmin's finger as the center, a red glow started to enshroud the palm, causing the jade-green palm to dissipate.

Looking at the scene unfolding, the disciples, especially the females, couldn't help but cheer in excitement.

The midstage Foundation Building disciples on the other hand collectively sucked in a cold breath of air. They all thought to themselves that their young masters were too monstrously talented, they were so young but still so strong.

Anyone in the same generation, either in the Wu Clan or outside of the clan, would feel helpless when thinking about the insurmountable gap in skill between them and these two demons.

In the crowd, several disciples could be seen with dejected looks on their faces. They were the personal disciples of clan Elders and were considered as 'geniuses' in their respective divisions, even though they were proud to have such talented young masters, they couldn't help but have some mixed feelings in the end.

Back on the stage, Longmin looked through the dissipating palm at Longwei and said "Even though it's a Saint-level Daoist Magic, you actually reached Initial Mastery of Grand uncle's Godly Palm."

"Congratulations, 'twin' brother"

Longwei, who was now free-falling towards the stage, lips twitched as he heard Longmin's last words. Stifling down some curses, he made a hand seal then pointed at the dissipating palm.

Three of the palm's fingertips started to glow a dazzling blue light, which was followed by three sharp and piercing Sword Qi flying out at Longmin. They were really unexpected and extremely fast, between the time Longwei pointed to the time the three Sword Qi reached a cun away from Longmin, only a second had gone by.

The disciples who were still in the midst of their cheering didn't even have the time to register what was happening when the three Sword Qi pierced through Longmin then the stage below causing rubble and dust to fill the stage.

The cheering crowd immediately turned to a pin drop silence.

Several breaths later a shrill scream could be heard from a female disciple, who, immediately passed out afterward.

Everyone looked at the debris fill stage in a daze, even though they couldn't tell what had just occurred, they could guess from the flash of blue light and the shock-wave, that an attack had just been carried out.

In the cloud of dust, they could see the silhouette of Longwei who had landed on the stage.

When they turn to look towards Longmin the only thing they saw was his motionless figure.

Everyone was shocked by this development.

The dust in the air began to settle, so they were able to see everything more clearly, and to everyone's surprise, Longwei was currently looking to his left, unconcern about the possibility that his brother could be dead.

The disciples were frightened, they all thought that their young master had gone insane, 'had he really gotten so angry this time that he actually killed his brother?', 'but that was too ridiculous, even though the young masters always fought over the smallest of things, it wasn't to the point of wanting to kill each other.'

When the disciples turn to look in the direction Longwei was looking at, wanting to see what he found so interesting than his brother's safety, they couldn't help but become slacked-jawed.

The Immortal Domain is a vast cosmos consisting of the Upper Realm and the Lower Realms, both of which are controlled by the Three Great Families, the Wang family, the Lui family, and the Xue family. Each one of them holds an immense amount of power that could overturn the heavens, reverse yin and yang and change the fate of anyone or anything in the Immortal Domain as they see fit.

But, with all of that being said, our story doesn't start from those ancient overpowered families in the Upper Realm, it starts from one of the countless fragmented Lower Realms, called the Wither Daemon Realm, in which there was a planet named Daiyu.

On this planet, heavenly prodigies that were born with one of the thirty, rare Legendary Physiques were starting to pop up like common weeds.

Longwei, born into the Wu Clan while in possession of the third rank Legendary Physique, was known as one of the six monster-level geniuses on planet Daiyu. His brother Longmin on the other hand, though was a genius in his own right, had faded into obscurity since his birth and was shunned by his own father after a certain ‘incident’.

This story is the supposed legends of two dragons, who, through a journey of bloodshed and betrayal led their clan to unify the Immortal Domain and stand above trillions as the highest existence.
