Black Memory Part 6

Yuki and I blipped into the lounge where I was forced into watching Rick and Morty and Back to the Future. Strange how I thought that was hell, it feels like it was a month or two ago. Yuki is just blasting his rock in his headphones, shows how long he's been a part of this group to be as nonchalant as Celeste.

“Good job on getting his ass here boy, any luck learning about his power?”

Celeste showing no regard for my mental being is hurting me more than I thought it would.

Yuki replied,

“Yeah, he doesn't gain strength or durability after every regen, just builds muscle easier. I Might Be Wrong though”

Celeste smirks,

“Hey Gato, didn't you say you ‘like men like Eren Jaeger’ maybe O1 is your guy once he gets that ten pack from everyone smoking his pack haha!”

Gato glared,

“Too short.”

You're literally 3’8” bitch.

“What was the reason you needed us? To write your Epitaph?”

Yuki asked with cocky impatience,

“I only know what was texted to me.”

“Well my prized and most talented student, us four are going on a road trip!!”

“We have fast travel. More efficient to be honest in this situation.”

Yuki’s response was lightning fast.

“Yes but trains and cars are fun! Plus O1 has never been in either!”

I don't care for a murder machine and a train I care for answers… wait…

“True! We should all go in together!”

“U2 Prim? Aight I guess the ‘best student’ can go.”

It's One Step Closer to learning about my past. Strangely enough however, I never learned what exactly Yuki’s ability is, I don't know his last name either.

Whatever, not my business right now.

Gato asked,

“What's the car we’re taking?”

“We have so many our carbon footprint is literally the size of Gato's fat fucking dumpy of an ass.”

Yuki’s right she does have a nice one… why didn't she comment anything back?

“Funny. But I’d prefer the baby shit to end there, we’re taking the train and dipping near Whitestone Bridge to meet up with the new hybrid I bought so we cover more mileage. As for you Yuki, you're driving and I’m going by motorcycle once we get there.”

Of course he distances, maybe he wants us to get along?

“We depart… NOW!”

Forcibly we are all transported to the inside of a subway car. Celeste dripped out in all leather and black jeans. When the fuck did he even change?

“Alright whatev…”

Yuki’s voice faded and became incomprehensible. I tilted over in the seat towards the window, Gato didn't notice my distress but likely because I moved my face away from everyone.

What I was experiencing was something so decrepit and demented I can only call a Black Memory. I drove a car, weilding a sword with Nekomata and 3 other unrecognizable people in the car with me. My face is covered by a mask. At the same time that “memory” blended with me pulling out a pistol in a school environment.

Two separate memories fused to one overlapping each other, difficult to decrypt each one.

“You ok Prim?”

Yuki and Gato seemed concerned for me.

“I’m fine…”

Gato smiled,

“Good, don't hold me back now, we can't have useless people dying on us!”

The train began to move and Celeste stood in the back corner of the car standing m e n a c i n g l y.

“Celeste wants us to make a Beeline on this station straight to the Whitestone Bridge! Our final destination is Toronto.”

“Why the fuck are we going to Toronto?”

I asked with reasonable concern.

“Someone ripped him off on his shoes.”

“Huh?”

“I'm capping, we just found out that's where Almagtig’s main body is so Celeste wants to nip him in the bud as he could prove troublesome if he spreads out fast.”

“Ohhh… how'd you find out?”

“Celeste used his ability to determine Almagtig’s likely location based on our past actions with him. Gato just texted me the information since she used the cat precision to dissect the weaker version of him.”

Interesting, wait how come I don't have Gato’s number? Eh whatever, I’m going on a road trip now, if anything here's my chance to probe everyone I see for information.

I will not fail-

“By the way guys in case of emergency my fast travel gets fucked outside of the main hot points in my life so if we get in a tight situation there's no running away!”

I paused,

“What about when you showed up on the Brooklyn Bridge?”

Yuki chuckled,

“I was just having a midday stroll, happened to be in the area and saw my besties fighting.”

…

Gato took the words right out of my mouth,

“Yeah we’re fucked.”

I guess I’ll try my best not to fail.
